Causes and Symptoms

Atheroma is a functional retention cyst that forms in the duct of the gland, clogging it and interfering with the normal secretion of the sebaceous secretion. This obturation of the sebaceous gland does not show clinically painful sensations, the only uncomfortable phenomenon can be a visually determined increase in atheroma. For a pregnant woman, such a minor cosmetic defect should not be a concern, but if the cyst reaches a large size, it is removed at any gestation period. The need for excising atheroma is associated with a risk of inflammation and suppuration, which in turn leads to a potential threat of intoxication, including for the fetus.
