Anorhism is the inherent absence of both testicles, caused by their bilateral agenesis. Usually it is combined with bilateral agenesis or kidney aplasia, but it can exist as an independent anomaly.
With bilateral renal aplasia, children are not viable.
Symptoms of the anarchism
In extremely rare cases of anarchism as an independent anomaly, pronounced eunuchoidism, underdevelopment of the external genital organs, absence of the prostate gland and seminal vesicles are revealed. Secondary sexual characteristics do not develop.
In the diagnosis of this condition, along with examination and physical methods of investigation, ultrasonography and diagnostic laparoscopy are of great importance, in which the signs of testicular agenesis from both sides are revealed.
