Amniography is an x-ray method of investigation, which has the advantages over the conventional radiographic method that it is possible to diagnose soft tissue pathology, some gastrointestinal tract defects and skeletal pathology.
Before performing an amniography, it is necessary to find out whether the pregnant iodine preparations are transferring and to test for sensitivity to the contrast substance that will be injected into the amniotic sac. The most widely used hypac (75%), which in the amount of 0.5 ml is injected slowly for 1 minute. After 15 minutes, you can start research.
The technique of amniography at urgent conditions in obstetric practice with the use of verographin was developed.
