Treatment of thrush in men at home
In order to determine how to treat thrush, you need to clearly understand what this disease is, as well as understand the mechanism of its occurrence and maintenance. Thus, thrush can be characterized as a fungal disease caused by fungi of the genus Candida. Therefore, the disease is often called candidiasis. The peculiarity of the causative agents of the disease is that they are representatives of the normal microflora of the urogenital tract. They belong to opportunistic microorganisms, which normally provide protection of the body from pathogenic microorganisms, maintaining the colonization resistance of the mucous membranes.
However, when immunity is reduced, opportunistic microorganisms are activated, their active growth occurs, and they colonize the entire mucous membrane, sharply increasing their numbers. Dysbacteriosis develops. This leads to a further decrease in endurance and resistance of the body to infectious diseases. If the number of representatives of the genus Candida increases sharply, a fungal disease develops - thrush.
Thus, in order to cure thrush, it is necessary to eliminate the cause of its occurrence. First of all, treatment should be aimed at overcoming the symptoms of dysbacteriosis and normalizing the immune system. Usually, this is enough to cure the disease. But sometimes special therapy is required, aimed at eliminating the fungus and reducing its numbers.
For this purpose, various immunomodulating, immunostimulating agents, and probiotics are used. To normalize the number of fungi, antifungal (antifungal) drugs may be required. Various folk methods of treatment, homeopathic remedies, herbs, chemical and animal substances have also proven themselves well. It is important to adhere to proper nutrition and observe hygiene rules.
Ointments and creams for thrush for men
Various folk remedies have proven themselves to be effective.
- Recipe #1. Golden mustache ointment
Golden mustache has proven itself well in the treatment of bacterial and fungal infections, as it has antiseptic, anti-infective properties. To prepare the ointment, you will need any fatty base. This can be pork fat, lard, badger fat, bear fat, gopher fat, or even fish oil. These products are melted over low heat or in a water bath. Then, a previously prepared decoction of golden mustache is added to the resulting mass. With constant stirring, bring to the formation of a homogeneous mass, then allow it to harden and use as an ointment, applying to the skin and mucous membranes.
To prepare a decoction of golden mustache, take 15-20 joints of the plant, grind them, pour a liter of boiling water. Allow to brew for 20-30 minutes, after which the product is added to the melted fatty base. The decoction can also be taken orally: 3 times a day 15-20 minutes before meals. The dosage is 15-20 drops per half a glass of water. Duration - until the symptoms of thrush completely disappear.

The base is butter, which is melted in a water bath or on low heat with constant stirring. Then add aloe juice. For 100 grams of butter, add about 3 tablespoons of aloe juice squeezed from the leaves of the plant, without stopping stirring. After this, remove from heat, allow to harden. Apply to damaged areas.
- Recipe #3. Fat-based ointment
Pork fat is used as a base. This is a fairly effective remedy that is prescribed to people with symptoms of intoxication, bacterial and viral infections, fungal invasions, dysbacteriosis and reduced immunity. The fat is used in melted form: melted over low heat until completely dissolved, stirring constantly. Then add the active components: Kalanchoe juice, ground ginger, a third of a teaspoon of soda. Then allow it to harden, apply to the areas of pathology.
- Recipe #4. Ointment based on baby cream
Baby cream is used as a base. Herbal decoctions, such as stevia and nettle decoction, are widely used as active components that provide the main therapeutic effect. Separately, take about 75 ml of baby cream. To prepare the decoction, take about 5-10 grams of plants, then pour a glass of boiling water. Add the decoction to the baby cream and leave for an hour. Apply to the affected areas of the skin and mucous membranes.

In order to boost immunity, it is recommended to take an immunostimulant daily, which you can prepare yourself. To do this, you will need about 100 grams of raw pistachios, dried apricots, raisins, and prunes. Pass all this through a meat grinder and mix thoroughly. Allow it to brew for an hour, then add 3-4 tablespoons of honey. Then mix until a uniform consistency is formed and sprinkle ground ginger on top (no more than a teaspoon). Take a tablespoon at a time, but no more than 3 tablespoons per day.
It is also recommended to take a vitaminized product that will help normalize the body's condition as a whole and replenish the vitamin deficiency. This helps to normalize the immune system. To prepare this product, you need a glass of beer. You need to take dark beer, since only it contains all the necessary vitamins, which are a product of fermentation. In addition, dark beer normalizes the microflora, since it is rich in fermentation microorganisms that additionally stimulate the growth of normal microflora and suppress the activity of pathogenic and opportunistic forms. 2 tablespoons of honey are added to preheated beer, which significantly enhances the specified properties of honey, acts as an additional growth factor for the microflora presented in beer. Mix thoroughly until the honey is completely dissolved.
Then add the juice of 1 lemon (it should be squeezed before heating the beer). Mix thoroughly. Lemon is rich in vitamin C. It also stimulates the immune system, normalizes metabolic processes, is a powerful antioxidant, removes tissue and substance decay products, and takes part in cleansing the body.
It is recommended to combine these remedies. You should take an immunostimulant twice a day, and at night it is recommended to drink a vitamin-rich remedy based on beer. After that, you should immediately go to bed, wrapped in a warm blanket. The course of treatment should be at least 10 days.
In the morning, it is recommended to wash yourself with a special decoction that will normalize the microflora and reduce the number of fungi. To prepare the decoction, you need at least 3 tablespoons of each product: chamomile flowers, hop cones, calendula leaves. All this is poured with about 2 liters of boiling water and allowed to brew until the water reaches a comfortable temperature. It is better to infuse, having previously covered it with a towel so that steam accumulates. After the water becomes warm, it is recommended to wash yourself with this decoction without using soap. Also, do not completely wipe the skin, it should only be blotted.

In such an environment, the fungus quickly dies, the state of the microflora is normalized. This helps to quickly relieve the inflammatory process, and also relieves itching and burning. You can use pine (natural) soap or tar soap, since they contain a large number of flavonoids, which have a positive effect on the state of the microflora and mucous membranes in general.
It is not recommended to use baby soap, as it contains various additives that promote the formation of normal microflora in a child, but disrupt it in an adult. It is also not recommended to use soap with various additives, dyes, fragrances, as they can only increase irritation.

The solution is prepared at the rate of 2-3 tablespoons of peroxide per liter of water. In case of severe itching, you can wipe the affected areas with a 3% peroxide solution. To do this, soak a cotton pad in a peroxide solution.
