Allergy on the body is a fairly broad concept, including many diseases and other manifestations. It is impossible to answer the question about the methods of treating allergies precisely, since it is first necessary to determine the source that causes the allergic reaction of the body.
Allergies on the body manifest themselves differently in different people: some are covered from head to toe in itchy red or pink spots, some suffer from a runny nose and incessant sneezing, and some suffocate in an allergic attack. Unfortunately, there are cases where people have died from allergies.
What causes allergies on the body?
Allergies can be triggered by exposure to various allergens, including household and book dust, pet and wild animal hair, flower pollen, medicines and cosmetics, food products, etc. Hypothermia or, conversely, overheating of the body can also cause allergies.
The specific causes of allergies on the body have not been fully clarified. Allergists-immunologists blame the mechanism called "antigen-antibody". Neurologists believe that the causes may lie in diseases of the nervous system, and infectious disease specialists believe that infectious diseases, to which any person is susceptible, are to blame.
Food allergies affect the body of about 2% of adults and about 10% of children. People living far from civilization breathe fresh, non-polluted air, so they suffer from allergies several times less often than residents of large cities and metropolitan areas.
Today, such a concept as allergy is ahead of even cardiovascular diseases. The current poor ecology, constant stress, insomnia, changeable climate, poor quality food products, etc. are to blame.
An allergy on a child's body is the result of eating low-quality products, especially bright sweets that loving parents buy for their children in unlimited quantities. Also, an allergy in a baby can occur to breast milk, especially if the nursing mother ate far from healthy food.
The disease must be treated immediately after it is detected. To do this, you should contact an allergist to undergo tests and allergy tests, which will help to establish the true cause of the disease.
How to treat allergies on the body?
There are a huge number of different medications available to treat allergies on the body – tablets, capsules, ointments, gels, injections. Many also use folk remedies.
Antihistamines block substances that come out of cells to fight allergies and manifest themselves in various symptoms on the human body.
Gels contain antiallergic substances that are excellent at combating the symptoms of the disease. Some gels also have a cooling effect - this helps reduce itching during allergies. One of the most famous gels is "Fenistil". It has the ability to eliminate allergy symptoms after insect bites, urticaria, various dermatitis, burns and eczema.
In addition, allergies on the body can be treated with injections. Injections are one of the most effective ways to treat the disease. "Allergy shots" can only be done in winter. An allergen to which the body reacts acutely is injected under the patient's skin in small portions. The procedures are carried out over a period of time. The procedure allows the body to begin an independent fight against the "foreigner" without the use of medications.
An allergy on the human body is the first sign that the immune system has failed. In this case, you should immediately consult a doctor to determine the source of the allergy and prescribe further treatment for the disease.
