Platelet aggregation with adrenaline

The curve recorded during the recording of adrenaline-induced platelet aggregation has two waves. Adrenaline, when in contact with platelets, interacts with α 2 -adrenoreceptors, which causes inhibition of adenylate cyclase. It is possible that the mechanism underlying the implementation of the adrenaline effect and the development of the first wave of aggregation does not depend on the formation of thromboxane A 2, the reaction of release or synthesis of the platelet aggregation factor, but is associated with the ability of this proaggregant to directly change the permeability of the cell membrane for Ca 2+ ions. Secondary aggregation during the induction of the process by adrenaline occurs as a result of the reaction of release and production of thromboxane A 2. The results of the study of the aggregation capacity of platelets can be expressed as a percentage.
The study is not used separately, but is carried out in combination with the determination of platelet aggregation with ADP and collagen.
