How reliable the results of a bowel examination depend primarily on the proper preparation of the bowel for this procedure. Preparation for sigmoidoscopy

With this preparation, you need to be tested in advance. Then change your diet. Lunch - at 13.00-14.00 the previous day before the procedure. Then after an hour or two you need to take a laxative with an oil base. It can be castor oil up to 50 ml. Dinner - a slab-free diet is needed: avoid raw vegetables and fruits, and cabbage in raw and boiled or stewed form. Instead, you need to drink kefir for dinner, you can eat sour cream, cottage cheese, semolina, chocolate and fruit juices or fresh juices. You can also have baking, but a little. Wholemeal bread is excluded.

Then you can do a cleansing enema. In the morning - a light breakfast and again a cleansing enema. This is the day on which the procedure will be carried out, therefore enemas are recommended that roomy, up to 1.5 liters of heated water be recommended. Preparation for irrigoscopy and fibrocolonoscopy

She, too, must be very careful, because the procedures are serious, in the course of which the colon is examined. A diet for two days is recommended for such patients. It is called unplanned, unlike besshlakovoy diet in preparation for sigmoidoscopy.

A day before the examination, a person eats lunch, and then at 15.00 takes castor oil - up to 50 ml, as in preparation for rectoromanoscopy. You can not have dinner - the maximum that you can drink is a glass of kefir. And there is one exception: people with diabetes need to have dinner, but it should be easy - something dairy. In the evening, you need to take 2-3 cleansing enemas of about 1-1.5 liters each, they must be warm water.

In the morning, when the intestines are cleaned, you can have breakfast - again excluding cabbage and fresh vegetables or fruits - they can cause fermentation. Then the person is again given cleansing enemas until the colon is completely cleansed and diagnostic procedures are carried out. After the enemas have been performed, a tube can be inserted into the rectum, through which air is pumped to remove residues of feces that may interfere with the diagnosis.

It must be highly accurate diagnostic methods and will allow to recognize diseases such as colon cancer, polyps in it, as well as benign tumors that prevent the passage of fecal masses.
