Medicamentous treatment of iersiniosis
Antibacterial treatment of yersiniosis begins from the 10th to the 14th day for all patients, regardless of the form of the disease, at the earliest possible time (preferably until the third day of the disease). The choice of the drug depends on the sensitivity of strains of Yersinia circulating in this area. The drugs of choice are fluoroquinolones and cephalosporins of the third generation. Chloramphenicol is recommended for the treatment of yersiniotic meningitis (IM 70-100 mg / kg per day). Tactics of management of patients with the abdominal form is developed together with the surgeon. For the restoration of intestinal flora, probiotics (bifiform and others) and eubiotics (acipol, linex, bifilong, acidophilus lactobacillus, bifidobacteria bifidum and other drugs) are recommended in combination with enzyme preparations (pancreatin, abomin, pancreatophlate).
Treatment yersinioza secondary-focal forms carried out on an individual basis. Antibacterial treatment of yersiniosis has no independent significance and is shown with the activation of the infectious process and the absence in the anamnesis of information about taking antibiotics. If necessary, the treatment is coordinated with narrow specialists. When the symptoms of an acute abdomen develop with abdominal form, appendectomy is performed. The choice of physiotherapeutic and sanatorium-resort methods of treatment and rehabilitation measures depends on the form of iersiniosis and the main syndrome.

Yersiniosis, gastrointestinal form, gastroenteric variant, moderate severity, acute course of the disease (coproduct Y. Enterocolitica, serovar 03).

With yersiniosis, a person remains disabled on average 14-21 days; with secondary focal forms and wave-like flow this period can be 4-6 months.
Clinical examination
The duration of clinical monitoring of convalescences should be at least one year after 1, 3, 6 and 12 months after the acute period. In the presence of clinical and laboratory problems - more often, as necessary.
Memo for the patient
It is necessary to strictly follow the recommendations of the doctor; observe prescribed daily regimen and diet; do not self-medicate. Treatment of yersiniosis should be carried out in accordance with the timing and clinical manifestations of the disease. Prophylactic medical examination should be performed after 1. 3, 6 and 12 months after recovery, in case of prolonged and chronic course of the disease - for a longer period until the final cure.
