Many people say that sex is not the most important thing. Such people are either lying or have not yet understood the beauty of life. But, whatever the case (the most important thing is not the most important thing), you can’t do without it either.
Pain during erection is not only discomfort during sexual intercourse, it is also psychological stress and reproductive health problems. It is a shame to realize this, especially at a young age.
Is it possible to get rid of pain during an erection? Of course, everything is possible now! The main thing is to listen to the advice of doctors and not delay treatment. After all, now we are not talking about something superficial, but about male dignity.
Causes of pain during erection
As strange as it may seem, this fact is possible at any age.
A normal erection is painless, otherwise there are a number of reasons:
- a consequence of extreme excitement,
- prolonged sexual abstinence,
- the use of contraception, lubricants and other various "tools" for sex.
Here we have listed minor processes that affect the quality of erection. Now let's move on to examining the real problem:
- result of injury. The man's condition depends on the severity of the mechanical impact on the genital organ. The strangest thing is that the penis can be injured unnoticed by its owner, for example, if it turns awkwardly in its sleep. The options of a ruptured frenulum or even a fracture are not excluded,
- phimosis is also a consequence of pain during erection,
- Peyronie's disease,
- priapism,
- prostatitis,
- some types of STDs: gonorrhea, chlamydia, etc.
If you already have pain during an erection, then in no case should you "sit and wait for a miracle". There is a risk of impotence.
How does pain during an erection manifest itself?
Now let's look at the symptoms of the listed causes of pain during erection:
- with phimosis the foreskin narrows, as a result of which it becomes painful and impossible to open the head. The pain appears at this very moment in the area of tension of the foreskin. During this period it becomes red and swollen,
- pain during erection caused by Peyronie's disease occurs at the beginning of the disease. Then the penis becomes covered with fibrous plaques, which are felt during palpation. In an excited state, the genital organ acquires a curved shape, which makes intimacy difficult, and sometimes makes it impossible. In the last stages of the disease, the penis decreases in size,
- priapism is a painful erection of long duration, which lasts for several hours. As the disease develops, it causes scars to appear on the cavernous bodies of the penis, which is a consequence of the complete disappearance of erections,
- Prostatitis is one of the most common and well-known diseases. Here the symptoms have a wide and varied spectrum:
- lower back pain,
- pain in the perineum that extends to the testicles and penis,
- pain in the rectum,
- weak erection,
- premature ejaculation,
- frequent urination accompanied by pain,
- in case of STDs (gonorrhea, chlamydia) during an erection, burning and itching may be observed, covering the genitals. There is also discharge from the head itself, pain during urination, and so on.
Pain after erection
The pain that occurs after an erection is rare compared to the pain during it. Most often, the causes of such a consequence include venous congestion of the genital tract. This problem is solved in a simple way - by sex or masturbation, since the basis for the pain is long-term abstinence.
Pain during and after an erection are more serious symptoms.
With prostatitis, pain can occur before, during and after the squeak of arousal. Moreover, here, a man experiences pain both during sexual intercourse and in a calm state. The pain is located not only in the penis, but also in the accompanying parts of the body: perineum, sacrum, abdomen, lower back, testicles.
Pain during erection
During an erection, pain causes not only physical discomfort. At such moments, a man begins to feel fear and shame in front of a woman, especially if at the most interesting moment the penis falls, or does not have the ability to reach the final moment (orgasm).
Pain during an erection can be the cause of isolation, a feeling of inferiority. But in fact, there is nothing to be ashamed of. A woman is also a living person, and she must understand that any of us can “go out of order”. And if complexes appear only at the thought of consulting a doctor, then this is just stupidity. Doctors have seen more serious things in their practice. In addition, a visit to a specialist postponed “until tomorrow” can lead to more significant problems, including a complete lack of physical attraction.
Pain in the penis during erection
Is there any reason to worry if your penis hurts during an erection?
Well, let's start with what kind of pain during erection is bothering you?
- the penis is “burning like fire”, dripping – a clear sign of gonorrhea,
- due to pain it is impossible to pull the foreskin, which at the same time has a red and swollen appearance - phimosis,
- it is impossible to bring the matter to a victorious end + “stands” for hours = priapism,
- pain during erection occurs in men with inflammation of the prostate. Here we can talk about symptoms endlessly, since almost everything hurts and almost always, especially if the disease is chronic.
Treatment of erectile pain
All big guys already understand that pain is not treated, but eliminated, and not forever. To get rid of this problem, it is necessary to treat the disease that provokes pain during erection.
- Phimosis is treated in different ways depending on the severity of the disease.
- at the initial stages of development, preventive hygienic manipulations are used. How to do this? Rinse the head of the penis with decoctions twice a day. For convenience, the foreskin must be moved to open the head as much as possible;
- Medicinal treatment is suitable in cases where herbal infusions are no longer effective, and surgical intervention can still be avoided. This course of treatment requires patience, since the therapeutic process itself is very slow, requiring gradual stretching of the foreskin using lubricants. The choice of lubricant type depends on whether the man is sexually active or not.
If yes, then doctors often prescribe creams such as Hydrocortisone, Clobetasol or Betamethasone Valerate.
If "no" - triamcinolone acetonide.
Creams or ointments that contain alkalis or glycerin should not be used. But steroid medications are what the doctor ordered.
In addition to using lubricants, water treatments are very beneficial;
- the need for surgery is determined by the doctor. For example, if scars have already formed, then surgical actions cannot be avoided. The surgical process itself occurs under both local and general anesthesia, where the skin of the foreskin is excised;
- prepuceplasty is a therapeutic surgical technique that preserves the integrity of the foreskin. It can also be performed under different types of anesthesia: local or general.
- Yes, it has become fashionable to look for alternatives to operations. But in the case of Peyronie's disease, the alternatives - medications and physiotherapy - are ineffective.
Mild forms of the disease, where small plaques are present and the penis is slightly curved, require the use of vitamin E in large doses, plus the drugs "Potaba", "Colchicine". Local use:
- calcium antagonists, for example, injection of Verapamil into the plaque,
- proteolytic enzymes such as "Lidase", "Dimexide",
- steroid drugs, for example, "Hydrocortisone".
Physiotherapy uses phonophoresis, laser therapy and much more that is necessary, according to the doctor.
But it is not a fact that drug therapy will help. It is possible, after conservative treatment, to have the situation corrected surgically.
The operation is aimed at returning the penis to its natural shape or, to put it more simply, “straightening” the penis; removing plaques.
The operation is performed in different ways, for example:
- the curvature of the penis does not reach 45°, and its length is quite large, then in this case the penis is straightened by applying folds with non-absorbable plications to the protein membrane on the reverse side of the curvature,
- curvature of the penis is more than 45° with a large length of the protein membrane on the side opposite the curvature, elliptical sections are made, after which they are sutured. This procedure is called the Nesbit operation,
- if the curvature of the penis is not long enough, then the operation is performed by dissection, in rarer cases by excision of the plaque with the elimination of the defect of the protein membrane using the patient's own tissues: skin, venous wall, vaginal membrane of the testicle, etc. Can be replaced with an artificial substance "Pelvicol", "Bard",
- curvature plus problematic erections require prosthetics - dildo implantation, which restores natural processes.
- Priapism is treated in two ways: with medications and surgery. Traditional medicine is inappropriate here.
- treatment with medication is prescribed if the erection lasts no more than 6 hours. The drug method reduces the flow of arterial blood and allows for a full outflow of blood from the penis. Therapy is carried out with vasoconstrictors "Phenylephrine", "Mezaton" and drugs that reduce blood clotting, for example, "Heparin",
- surgery. At this point, various types of shunts are applied, which ensure the outflow of blood from the cavernous bodies of the penis. The following methods are most often used:
- "Ebbehoj" or "Winter" insertion under local anesthesia of a biopsy or, if possible, thick needle through the head of the penis into the cavernous bodies of the penis with blood suction. Most often, manipulations on one side are enough,
- "El-Ghorab" is an operation where a shunt is placed between the spongy and two cavernous bodies of the head of the penis,
- "Quackel" is the process of applying a shunt at the junction of the spongy and cavernous bodies. Manipulations can be performed from one or both sides of the penis,
- "Grayhack" - shunts are placed between v.saphenа and the cavernous body. This technique is used in practice very rarely, since there are a number of contraindications.
Folk remedies for eliminating pain during erection are effective only if the causes are not serious.
The initial stages of phimosis can be eliminated by bathing in a bathtub with the addition of the following infusions:
- chamomile infusion,
- infusions of succession or calendula.
If baths are used locally, their duration should be at least 20 minutes.
Peyronie's disease is treated with this folk technology:
- horse chestnut kernels (20 g) are crushed, then pour the resulting mixture into a container with boiling water (1 cup), and boil for at least 15 minutes. The prepared decoction is divided into three equal doses, which should be drunk during the day. You need to take chestnut infusion for 3 months,
- Leech treatment is considered the most effective method to get rid of scars and plaques. The exact recipe:
- dried leeches – ¼ cup,
- heparin ointment – 15 g,
- "Dimexide" - 2 spoons,
- Acacia honey – 1 glass.
The ingredients listed are the substances that make up the ointment for external use, which can be stored in the refrigerator.
The ointment is applied to the problem area at night. The course of treatment ends when the prepared mixture runs out.
Prevention of pain during erection
Ways that can prevent pain during erection are:
- regular but not promiscuous sex,
- avoid injury to the penis,
- a timely visit to the doctor, especially if there is a reason.
Some diseases are not acquired over the years, but are a congenital defect, for example, phimosis, therefore, it is almost impossible to prevent problems here, but it is possible to prevent possible consequences.
Safe sex, namely with a condom, can protect against STDs that not only cause pain during erection, but also cause more serious problems.
Compliance with personal hygiene rules is also a preventive measure.
