Consequences of a tick bite in humans
It is important to understand that a tick bite can have tragic consequences. It is not just an insect. The tick is a carrier of many infectious diseases. Even if nothing happens after the insect is removed, terrible symptoms can develop a month later, leading to disability. Modern treatment methods can eliminate all the consequences of a tick bite and protect a person from a terrible fate.
The most dangerous complication is infection with some disease. This can happen during the insect's feeding. By releasing its proboscis, the tick provokes salivation. The glands that produce saliva are quite large. It is through them that infection occurs. By attaching its proboscis to human skin, infection begins.
The main consequence of a bite can be viral encephalitis. This disease manifests itself as a cold. A person can be bothered by a headache, their health deteriorates sharply, and body aches are possible. Usually, no one thinks that the problem is caused by a tick bite. Therefore, the treatment is carried out somewhat differently. Meanwhile, the situation begins to worsen. The incubation period of the disease lasts about a week. The presence of encephalitis can be detected in the period up to 3 weeks after the bite. Only after 21 days can you breathe a sigh of relief if none of the symptoms have begun to manifest themselves.
Another serious consequence is borreliosis. This disease is known to many as Lyme disease. It is caused by spirochete bacteria. There are several times more ticks that carry this disease. It is impossible to vaccinate against borreliosis. The disease can proceed without obvious symptoms for a month, which is the main danger. You can notice a slight malaise, fever and body aches. An obvious symptom is wandering erythema. It is characterized by the appearance of a red spot in the form of a ring. It cannot be confused with anything. Therefore, if erythema appears, you should immediately seek help. Lyme disease can lead to heart failure and provoke the development of other serious diseases. It is important to examine the body after a walk in nature and seek help if strange symptoms appear.

It is characterized by muscle weakness, fever, severe headaches and muscle pain. Temporary anorexia is possible. These symptoms can manifest themselves within 2 months after the bite. Therefore, the baby's condition must be monitored.
Tick-borne borreliosis. This is a severe bacterial disease. It can be caused by several specific bacteria at once. They easily enter the body after a bite. This type of disease is one of the most common. The consequences of a bite in this case are not so terrible. The symptoms are almost the same as with encephalitis. But borreliosis is characterized by the appearance of erythema. If there are red spots on the child's body, you should immediately go to the hospital.

The symptoms of the disease are varied. They can manifest themselves after several years, or immediately. The main signs are: weight loss of the animal, inflammation of the joints, drowsiness, inflammation of the eyelids and vascular diseases. Nosebleeds, pulmonary edema and even meningitis often occur.
- Another consequence is hepatozoonosis. The disease is not dangerous for humans at all. Its causative agent is the simplest of the genus Hepatozoon. Parasites spread mainly in leukocytes. The disease occurs in most cases due to swallowing a tick, and not as a result of a bite. Symptoms may not manifest themselves at all. Sometimes it takes a whole year to determine the disease. It is characterized by weakness, joint pain and discharge from the eyes.
- Ehrlichiosis. The causative agents of the disease are Ehrlichia rickettsia. They mainly parasitize inside cells. They negatively affect platelets, monocytes and granulocytes. This condition is characterized by the appearance of fever. Additional symptoms include weakness, shortness of breath, and the presence of blood in the urine.
