Pregnancy is one of the happiest periods in a woman's life. However, this happy time can be overshadowed by minor ailments, manifested as painful sensations. Headache, toothache, stomach pain - all these conditions cause considerable discomfort to a woman. In addition, it is known that taking pills from pain during pregnancy is highly undesirable. So what do you do? How to rid yourself of any manifestations of pain? Let's talk about this in more detail.

Indications for the use of tablets from pain during pregnancy

Medicines for pregnancy are not recommended, it can be done only as a last resort. If the pain is insignificant and can pass by yourself, try not to take medication. In more difficult situations, consult a doctor, especially in the first and last trimester of gestation:

  • permanent and significant headaches, which are gradually increasing and increasing;
  • the headache does not cease even after rest and sleep;
  • the pain is not scattered, but localized, right or left, in the anterior or posterior part of the head;
  • In addition to the headache, there is another symptomatology - vision impairment, shooting and tenderness in the ears, verbal and motor disorders;
  • changes in blood pressure, fever.

Toothache, regardless of its intensity, always requires an obligatory visit to the dentist, because the sick teeth and gums of the mother also negatively affect the baby.

Of course, the best option - when the teeth were treated even in the planning period of the child. However, situations are different, and visiting a dentist during pregnancy does not pose any risk to the fetus. It is recommended only to give up anesthesia whenever possible.

Pharmacodynamics

Virtually all tablets have a different mechanism of action on the body. For example, drugs with different spectrum of action can be used against pain: narcotic and non-narcotic analgesics, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, antispasmodics, tranquilizers, distractions, stimulants of the nervous system.

In particular, one of the most common drugs - paracetamol - acts on the reduction of bioelectric activity of the brain, facilitates painful sensations, soothes the nervous state of the nervous system.

But-spa refers to the group of antispasmodics, this drug has a relaxing effect on the smooth muscles of the cerebral vessels, relieves spasms caused by nervous tension, fear, changes in atmospheric pressure.

The action of ibuprofen is due to its analgesic, antiproliferative and decongestant properties.

Analgin and similar drugs (pentalgin, tempalgin, baralgin, kofalgin) has a pronounced analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effect.

Tablets Citramon and Ascofen are a combination of all known aspirin and caffeine, which complement each other, especially if the pain is associated with lowering blood pressure.

Tablets from pain in pregnancy based on nimesulide (alite, aponil, mesulide, nise, nimesil, nimegesic, nimes, pansulid, etc.) are quite effective non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs of the methanesulfonanilide group.

Pharmacokinetics

The form of release of an analgesic drug largely determines its pharmacokinetics. For oral use, drugs in the form of tablets and powders can be used: tablets are preferred in this case, since they practically in an unchanged state enter the upper parts of the small intestine where the drug is absorbed into the blood. The degree of absorption with internal reception is quite high. The presence of food in the stomach slows down absorption, but does not affect its degree. Getting into the bloodstream, the active components of medicines are capable of acting for 6-8 hours, after which they are eliminated from the body. The maximum concentration of the active substance in the plasma is reached within 0.5-1.5 hours.

Analgesics are mainly metabolized in the liver and in the kidneys. About 50% of the urine is excreted from the body, up to 30% with feces. Only up to 3% of drugs can be withdrawn unchanged. None of the proposed modifications of drugs are not able to accumulate in the body.

Dosing and Administration

In cases of headache or toothache during pregnancy, in view of the undesirable reception of medicines, in extreme situations, any medications may be prescribed as directed by a specialist.
