Probiotics for animals are an important medicine that helps them normalize the quantitative and qualitative composition of intestinal microflora and protect against many pathogenic microorganisms.
Containing beneficial bacteria of various types, probiotics displace pathogenic flora from the intestines of animals and populate it with beneficial microorganisms. Due to the normalization of the bacterial ratio, digestion of food products and absorption of nutrients are improved.
Probiotics can be divided into several subgroups based on their composition. Thus, they can contain lactobacilli, bifidobacteria, yeast and various dietary supplements.
Thus, yeast-based medicines are inexpensive, and the effect is to replenish the animal's vitamin and protein deficiency. Such preparations are not destroyed by high temperatures, which allows them to be used in feeds that are subject to thermal effects. The disadvantage of yeast is the lack of ability to restore intestinal microflora.
Probiotics that include B.subtilis are competitive drugs for pathogenic microorganisms. In some cases, this type of probiotics is used instead of antibacterial drugs to displace harmful bacteria from the intestinal lumen.
This type of probiotics is also not destroyed by high temperatures, but it is worth remembering that at 100 degrees destructive processes occur in microorganisms, which leads to their death.
By using probiotics from the first days of an animal’s life, healthy intestinal microflora is formed, which ensures normal digestion and high resistance to infectious agents.
If it is necessary to use an antibacterial agent, additional intake of probiotics is required to prevent the death of beneficial bacteria and the colonization of pathogenic microorganisms. It should be noted that not all probiotic preparations are resistant to antibacterial agents, so it is rational to use them after the end of a course of antibiotics. Of course, it is possible to choose a certain type of probiotic that is allowed to be used in parallel with antibacterial drugs.
When taking probiotics and antibacterial agents simultaneously, it is important to remember that the former should be used for a few more days after completing the antibiotics. This is necessary to fully restore the composition of beneficial bacteria and kill pathogenic microflora.

Probiotic Olin
Probiotic olin has several advantages over other drugs of this group. Firstly, it is a unique composition that has a beneficial effect on the animal's body. The biomass of bacterial strains is stored in spore form.
This form provides a combination of the capabilities of all bacteria, resulting in an effectiveness comparable to that of antibacterial drugs, but without the huge number of side effects inherent to them.
Secondly, the probiotic olin corrects the composition of the microflora, thereby reducing the risk of developing an infectious disease. Thirdly, this is a concentration that is thousands of times higher than other probiotics. In addition, further improvements are underway to make the concentration even more saturated and effective.
Due to the rapid reproduction of beneficial microorganisms obtained after taking a probiotic, there is no room for pathogenic bacteria. As a result, they lose the ability to reproduce and suppress beneficial microorganisms.
Probiotic lactobifadol
Probiotic lactobifadol includes amino acids, vitamin complexes, microelements and prebiotic components. The drug is used to reduce the need for antibacterial, hormonal agents and growth stimulants in animals.
This probiotic should be used during antibiotic treatment. Since the preparation contains live microorganisms, it is not recommended to add it to hot food.
The probiotic lactobifadol is widely used for dairy cows, after which milk yield increases by 15% after a five-day course of taking the probiotic. Such indicators are maintained after a week-long therapeutic course. At the end of treatment, after 7-10 days, milk yield returns to the previous level.
In addition, the probiotic stimulates digestion, improves fertility, promotes normal development of the fetus, reducing the risk of birth of hypotrophic calves.
The probiotic is recommended for use by breeding bulls, newborn calves and older ones (up to 6 months), as well as for fattening and medical activities.
Probiotic Plus
Probiotic Plus "Olin" is considered the third generation of drugs of this line, the production of which occurs by certain bacteria capable of spore formation. Probiotic Plus is used in animals as a feed additive.
The high property of the probiotic to resist bacteria, viruses and fungi has been proven. The drug is rationally used for the treatment and prevention of salmonellosis, after taking antibacterial and anthelmintic drugs, as well as chemotherapy.
For rabbits, for the prophylactic purpose of eimeriosis, gastrointestinal infections and dysbacteriosis, the probiotic should be used orally. It should be added to water or feed for mass distribution. The calculation is: per head - 3 g of the drug per day for 3 days.
If you use a probiotic to increase the resistance of rabbits to infections, increase the offspring and its safety, you need to slightly reduce the dosage. It is 2 g per rabbit per day for three days.
As for the treatment of eimeriosis and bacterial gastrointestinal infection, the drug should be administered at a dose of 5 g twice a day for a rabbit for 5 days.
Probiotics have a high enzymatic capacity, with the help of which the work of the intestines and the entire digestive tract is normalized. This drug is advisable to use not only for therapeutic purposes, for example, with antibiotic-associated diarrhea, but also as a preventive measure. Probiotics for animals restore the full functioning of the digestive system, increase the immune status and contribute to the increase in the effectiveness of vaccination.
