Beauty, according to the English philosopher Francis Bacon, has always been and will be a silent recommendation. The famous historian, apparently, in the 16th century foresaw a breakthrough in the field of creating female beauty, and, as one of the founders of materialism, he was right. Today, the dreams of thousands of women have literally materialized, and contour plastics have brought them to life.
Correction using contouring techniques is an injection of youth and beauty, which is included in the category of effective methods, such as mesotherapy, Botox injections and biorevitalization. Experts recommend performing injection correction of appearance in cold periods of the year - in autumn, winter and early spring, summer is not a direct contraindication, but also cannot be considered the most favorable season for such procedures. Spring is perhaps the most favorable time for representatives of the beautiful half of humanity, when you can take care of your beauty, taking advantage of all the benefits of contour plastics.
Contour plastic surgery has many truly positive aspects for any client of a cosmetology center. Among them, first of all, the following can be named:
- The result is visually noticeable immediately after the procedure.
- All manipulations are performed on an outpatient basis.
- There is no need for special preparation for the procedure.
- A relatively small list of contraindications compared to other cosmetic procedures.
- The injected drug does not disrupt the nutrition and trophism of tissues; moreover, it is able to activate the saturation of the skin with oxygen and microelements.
- Contour plastic surgery can be combined with almost all rejuvenation procedures.
- The procedure lasts no more than 30-40 minutes.
- No age restrictions.
Contouring is a great way to avoid the disadvantages and risks of plastic surgery.
Contour plastic surgery of nasolabial folds Intimate contour plastic surgery Contour plastic surgery of cheekbones Contour plastic surgery of the nose |
The principle of contouring techniques is based on pushing out the folds in the wrinkle area due to the injected preparation, and the result is visible accordingly - smoothing and increasing skin turgor. The main indications for the use of contouring techniques:
- Fine and deep wrinkles of the face, periorbital and perioral zones.
- Correction of facial contours.
- Age-related changes in facial skin (flabbiness, sagging, loss of elasticity and skin tone).
- Correction and smoothing of areas where atrophic scars are visible.
- Enlargement of individual areas (lips).
- Modeling of earlobes, tip of the nose, chin.
- Correction of facial feature asymmetry.
- Intimate contour plastic surgery.
Contour lifting and facial correction are rightfully considered an innovation in the field of cosmetology, however, while having many advantages, contour plastic surgery also has specific contraindications that do not exclude rejuvenation in principle, but only dictate the need to use other methods that are adequate to the problem.

Contour plastic surgery technique
There are several methods of introducing a subcutaneous drug; the contour plastic technique is selected individually for each client, depending on the following indicators:
- Age.
- Skin condition and type.
- The task is to fill wrinkles, correct the oval of the face or its individual parts.
- Possible contraindications.
- Individual characteristics (intolerance to drug components, fear of injections, etc.).
- Presence or absence of previous wrinkle filling.
- The expected effect, the client’s desire, and its duration.
How is the procedure performed? What preparatory work is done?
- A primary examination of the skin is carried out.
- Selection of filler depending on the above factors, the type and structure of the skin, the depth of wrinkles, and the skin’s ability to stretch.
- A consultation is mandatory, during which the doctor tells the client how the selected drug works, what effect to expect from it and possible transient complications.
- Determining the date of the procedure and clarifying the drug administration regimen depending on the expected result.
The manipulation is performed on an outpatient basis for 30-40 minutes. During this period, as a rule, several problems are solved at once, for example, eliminating small wrinkles and smoothing nasolabial folds.
The technique of contour plastic surgery is actually a method of introducing a filler, a selected preparation, under the skin. These methods can be combined into the following types of correction:
- Bioreinforcement.
- Filling wrinkles with a preparation is linear filling.
- Volumetric correction of the face and certain areas of the body.
Method of administration of the drug:
- Fan technique.
- Cross fan technique.
- Orchid technique.
- Linear sandwich technique.
- Tracing method of filler administration.
- Reinforcement in a longitudinal manner.
- Short linear technique.
- Point method of administration.
- Lattice method.
- Counter reinforcement technique.
- Suspension technique.
In general, the technique of contour correction is based on 2 methods - using a syringe with a very thin needle or introducing the filler using a cannula. Then everything depends on the type of drug, most often it is administered transdermally - directly through the skin, options - subcutaneously or access to deeper layers of the dermis. Very rarely, a doctor can use the transoral method of introducing a filler, when the drug penetrates the desired area from the oral cavity, this technique is indicated for facial correction after injuries and helps to avoid excessive damage to the skin in certain neurological, vascular diseases. Before the procedure, the skin is treated with an antiseptic, local anesthesia with cooling drugs (cream, solution) is mandatory - local or application.
Facial contouring
Correction and modeling of the facial contour, smoothing of the skin texture, smoothing of wrinkles – both fine and deep, changing the shape of the lips and many other “miracles” – all these are the possibilities that facial contouring offers.
The uniqueness of the method is that to achieve the desired aesthetic result there is no need to resort to surgery, as it was quite recently, just a few decades ago. Currently, facial contouring has become an accessible, almost completely safe procedure that allows every woman to preserve a youthful oval, a natural lip line, restore elasticity, skin turgor, correct the shape of the nose, chin, cheekbones. Sometimes with the help of such procedures, the client's image changes dramatically, and for the better. Contour modeling is indicated at any age, starting from 18 years old, has practically no contraindications, and those that are revealed can be considered only a reason to choose a different method of correcting appearance. The cost of the contour procedure is quite affordable, in addition, any representative of the beautiful half of humanity knows the inexorable truth - beauty requires investment, therefore she is ready for it.
The areas of the face that respond well to contour plastic surgery are:
- Upper third:
- Wrinkles between the eyebrows.
- Transverse wrinkles on the forehead.
- Wrinkles in the nose area (“rabbit” wrinkles).
- Wrinkles at the corners of the eyes ("crow's feet").
- Upper eyelid (lifting).
- Tear grooves.
- Middle face area:
- Nasolabial folds.
- Wrinkles at the corners of the mouth (smile lines).
- Wrinkles in the cheek area (zygomatic hollows).
- Correction of the shape and volume of the lips.
- Lower third of the face:
- Chin shape correction.
- Wrinkles on the chin.
- Correction of the face oval.
Lip contouring
One of the most popular services in aesthetic medicine is considered to be contour plastic surgery of the lips. Natural ratios, proportions of the upper and lower lips are preserved for quite a long time in people with a certain skin type and depending on heredity. However, not everyone is so "lucky", especially women suffer in this sense, who want the contour of the lips to still resemble the plump, smooth lips of a child, a young girl.
To restore elasticity and youthfulness to the lower or upper lip, so that the lady gets the desired result, lip contouring is performed using two main methods:
- Filling the existing lip contour.
- Filling the lips with vertical injections of the product, the so-called “Parisian lips” effect.
The client should take into account the specifics of the manifestation of the result from the performed procedure, the volume increases immediately after the manipulation due to the quite understandable swelling after the injections, and only then the natural swelling created by the filler becomes noticeable, usually this happens after 1-2 days.
The most popular is vertical contour plastic surgery of the lips, in which the folds of the lip surface retain their natural relief without the effect of artificiality. In addition, this method allows you to make the procedure noticeable in an aesthetic sense, but does not make the lady look like a cartoon character with a celluloid smile. Any method of modeling is also good in that the slightest deviation, asymmetry is quickly corrected and eliminated with the help of special drugs that neutralize the filler (dexamethasone or hyaluronidase).
Contour plastic surgery of the nasolacrimal groove
Age-related skin changes, facial defects are often expressed in the nasolacrimal groove area, it is this, clearly expressed, that gives a tired, exhausted look to a person. The reason for the appearance of the tear line is the natural process of withering, aging of the skin of the face, the so-called gravitational factor, when the skin simply sags, losing its elasticity and flexibility. In this area, the septum is especially dense - a specific subcutaneous formation that connects the skin itself and the muscles of the preorbital region. The septum is attached to the bone tissue, so the displacement of the skin at the top of the face is not as significant as in the middle and lower zones. But in addition to the dense septum holding the skin, there are also ligaments that are very sensitive and vulnerable to stretching, they weaken over time, provoking the formation of infraorbital hernias. Thus, signs of lipodystrophy appear on the face, which are noticeable in the form of obvious nasolacrimal grooves. Soft tissue dystrophy in the upper third of the face creates several aesthetic defects:
- Nasozygomatic groove.
- Nasolacrimal groove.
- Infraorbital groove.
- Palpebromalar groove.
Contour plastic surgery of the nasolacrimal groove differs from the correction of other defects in this area; it requires less dense fillers than for correction of the cheek-zygomatic formation. The procedure for filling the nasolacrimal line involves the use of preparations based on hyaluronic acid (HA) or lipofilling; also, in the case of obvious age-related changes in the skin, the client may be offered a more serious treatment - blepharoplasty, which belongs to the category of plastic surgery. The choice of method is determined by the doctor, based on the examination of the patient's facial skin condition; women under 55-60 years of age are often offered the most effective and non-surgical method - contour, injection plastic surgery.
The procedure of introducing filler into the eye area was considered quite painful until recently, but in recent years, thanks to new technological developments, anesthetics compatible with hyaluronic acid have been included in the preparations. Therefore, today contour plastic surgery of the nasolacrimal groove is tolerated by clients as easily as correction of less sensitive areas of the face. In terms of popularity, such manipulations have almost caught up with plastic surgery of the nasolabial folds.
What are the contraindications for nasolacrimal groove correction?
- Autoimmune pathologies.
- Diabetes mellitus.
- Oncologic processes.
- Infectious diseases.
- Pregnancy.
- Breastfeeding period.
- Exacerbation of chronic diseases.
- Viral diseases.
- Blood clotting disorders.
- Taking antibiotics, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and antiplatelet drugs.
- Relative contraindications are kidney disease and a tendency to edema.
- Individual intolerance to HA - hyaluronic acid.
- Previously performed procedures to fill the groove with gel.
Also, contour plastic surgery of the nasolacrimal groove is not combined with laser methods, peeling, especially chemical peeling.
Advantages of contour plastic surgery of the lacrimal groove:
- Bioavailability and compatibility of the administered drug with all structures of the facial skin.
- The procedure is painless.
- An almost immediate effect, which is visible on the second day (slight swelling is possible on the first day).
- Smoothing out pronounced tear wrinkles.
- Smoothing out skin texture.
Contour injections in the nasolacrimal line area can be divided into several stages, i.e. the procedure should sometimes be continued after a certain period of time. Usually, the patient is offered the following scheme - injections in small doses twice with an interval of two weeks. This allows to avoid swelling, which is typical for a single massive injection of filler.
What techniques are used in nasolacrimal line correction?
- Point technique for filler introduction.
- Fan technique.
- Linear-retrograde technique.
- Cannulas.
The practice of many cosmetologists shows that the linear-retrograde method is less traumatic, as well as the introduction of the drug using a cannula. For correction, 0.2 milliliters of HA (hyaluronic acid) is enough during the first stage and no more than 0.1 milliliter to fill the groove during the final procedure.
What does the client get after the tear trough correction procedure?
- Fully filled line and no specific depression.
- Smoothing out the skin's texture.
- Neutralizes dark circles under the eyes.
- Visual rejuvenation of the face.
- The rejuvenating effect increases within 7-10 days.
After the procedure, clients are advised not to stay in the sun, visit steam baths, saunas, swimming pools for 14 days, and should also limit fluid intake, especially before bed.
Scar contouring
Before finding out how contour plastic surgery of a scar is performed, it is necessary to determine what this aesthetic defect is, what types of scars there are and why they appear.
Reasons for the formation of scar tissue:
- Trauma to the skin and adjacent soft tissues.
- Acne, acne.
- Consequences of surgical intervention.
- Burns.
- Insect bites.
- Stretch marks (including postpartum ones.
Any break in the skin during the healing process is accompanied by scarring. Ideally, the scar (cicatrix) is almost invisible, but if collagen production is impaired, its synthesis increases or decreases, tissue atrophy develops and a visible, bumpy area of skin appears, called a scar. A more accurate explanation for this phenomenon would be the active release of fibroblasts during inflammation of skin tissues, accompanied by decreased collagenosis.
Normal scarring of damaged skin can be disrupted due to the following reasons:
- If the wound or injury affects an active functional area of the body.
- Deep wound.
- Features of skin type (thin, sensitive skin).
- Metabolic disorder.
- Diabetes.
- Genetic factor.
- Atherosclerosis.
- Vitamin deficiency, hypovitaminosis.
- Age (the older the person, the worse the scar tissue).
- A purulent, infected wound.
- A recurrent process requiring surgical excision of tissue.
What types of scars exist, and how does contour plastic surgery help to neutralize them?
- A hypertrophic scar is a protruding, keloid scar that forms due to overactive collagen production. Such a scar can be considered a hidden wound, since there is practically no elastin inside the skin, but too much collagen. Such formations often itch, often hurt, and the color of the skin around them is changed. If the tissue regeneration process continues and proceeds quickly, the scar can smooth out on its own, and the skin can restore its natural relief and shade. However, deep wounds most often heal slowly, resulting in the formation of a visible cosmetic defect that can be eliminated with the help of contour plastics.
- A hypopigmented scar is formed during the normal healing process of the wound surface.
- A depressed atrophic scar that looks like a visible depression in the skin. Most often, such scars are typical for people with thin, sensitive skin, and the defect can also appear in areas poor in subcutaneous tissue. The cause of the formation of an atrophic scar is acne.
- An indented scar looks like a “pit” in the skin and is formed after an infected, purulent wound, as well as after acne.
According to the depth level, scars are classified as follows:
- Normotrophic – at the level of the skin, such scars are easiest to remove with a regular peeling.
- Keloids are the spread of scar tissue across the skin around a wound.
- Atrophic scars - lower layers of the skin.
- Hypertrophic - above the surface of the skin.
Contour plastic surgery of scars is indicated for keloid and atrophic types of scars. Using injections, a filler (biodegradable gel) is injected under the skin in the scar area, resulting in a smoothed-out relief. The procedure is recommended to be combined with subsequent laser resurfacing to consolidate the result. The effect is visible immediately after the course of manipulations, but lasts only one year. Then the procedure can be repeated as needed, it is absolutely safe. The most difficult to treat are hypertrophic and volumetric keloid defects, which often have to be excised surgically. In addition, in the treatment of scars, cosmetologists can use chemical peeling, microdermabrasion, biorevitalization, laser nanoperforation (collagen defects). The method is selected taking into account the individual characteristics of the patient's skin and the type of scar.

Contraindications to contour plastic surgery
Contour plastic surgery has indeed become available to many, but sometimes the desire to quickly correct the oval of the face or remove deep wrinkles overshadows reasonable warnings. After all, there are contraindications to contour plastic surgery, and no one has canceled them. First of all, you should remember - all procedures of this category must be carried out in a specialized institution that has a license for such services. In addition, injections should be done by a specialist who has undergone special training, preferably a doctor, perhaps a nurse - cosmetologist. Despite the apparent simplicity, these manipulations require medical education, knowledge of anatomy, skin structure and other specific skills. And the third rule, a client of a cosmetology clinic, be it a woman or a man, should not hide existing diseases, if any, because in pursuit of a quick result, you can get complications if you hide any health problem from the doctor.
Contraindications to contour plastic surgery can be divided into two groups - general and local, any of these prohibitions can most often be circumvented by using an alternative method of rejuvenation, which will also be effective, but safer for the client.
General contraindications:
- Pregnancy and lactation. During this time, any cosmetic procedures are prohibited in principle, since the expectant mother's hormonal system and metabolic processes change. In addition, the administered drug is able to overcome the placental barrier and penetrate into the blood and milk •
- History of allergy. The drug that is injected under the skin can activate an aggressive immune response to a new, foreign substance. There is a risk of developing not only itching, urticaria, but also dermatitis, and even Quincke's edema. An exacerbation can be avoided by taking antihistamines in advance, which will also need to be taken in a course after the procedure.
- Exacerbation of chronic diseases, including possible acute respiratory infections or acute respiratory viral infections. An injection of a drug that fills wrinkles and smooths out the contour of the face can provoke an even greater exacerbation, an increase in body temperature or an allergic reaction. Contour plastic surgery in such cases is performed only after the acute symptoms have subsided, but it is better to do it after complete recovery.
- Chronic pathologies. The injected drug may put additional strain on the affected organ or system. Possible exacerbations can be prevented by carefully selecting the dosage, injection regimen and the actual type of "filler", filler.
- Diseases associated with immunity, autoimmune pathologies. The filler can be perceived as a foreign substance, the body begins to resist and produce antibodies, which in turn carries the risk of either an inflammatory process or an exacerbation of an existing disease. Such pathologies include scleroderma, systemic lupus erythematosus, toxic goiter.
- An individual feature of the skin, or more precisely, connective tissue, is the tendency to form keloids.
- An absolute contraindication to contour plastic surgery is the age of up to 17-18 years. Correction is carried out only in case of important indications, when a teenager, young man or girl needs to correct really serious cosmetic, aesthetic defects. The procedure is contraindicated due to intensive growth, rapid anatomical and physiological changes, any intervention from the category of cosmetology at this age is undesirable (excluding facial cleansing for acne, blackheads).
Local contraindications:
- Infectious disease of the skin in the area of the intended filler injection - herpes, bacterial infection. Any type of skin infection is a local inflammatory process that affects collagen production. In addition, the virus or bacteria during the procedure are able to penetrate into the deep layers of the skin and get into the lymphatic or circulatory system.
- Peeling, scrubbing, carried out 3-5 days before the expected contour plastic surgery. After such procedures, it is better to wait 7-10 days, and only then carry out correction with beauty injections.
- If silicone has been injected into the skin before, you must inform your doctor about it. Fillers, hyaluronic acid are not compatible with silicone.
More extensive contraindications to contour plastic surgery can be presented in the form of the following list:
- Oncology at any stage.
- Herpes infection during an exacerbation.
- Epilepsy.
- Hemolytic anemia and other blood diseases.
- Fungal skin lesions.
- Hyperthermia (elevated body temperature).
- Diabetes (with caution).
- Skin neoplasms (nevi, papillomas, warts, subcutaneous cysts, lipomas).
- Menstruation period (3-4 days before and after the cycle).
Consequences of contour plastic surgery
Contour plastic surgery is no longer a novelty; such procedures have become a part of the routine and routine of many thousands of women who care about their appearance. However, there are also ladies who have not yet tried all the advantages of non-surgical treatment and restoration of youth. Most often, they are stopped not by the cost of the procedures, but by the question of what consequences of contour plastic surgery they can expect.
Let's make it clear right away that injection correction is not without temporary and quite bearable discomfort, an injection is an injection, no matter how thin the needle is. The main consequences of contour plastic surgery can be divided by time:
- Early complications (within 7 days).
- Remote effects - 10-14 days after the procedure.
- Late complications that develop after a year or even more.
Early manifestations of consequences
- Transient swelling in the injection area.
- Minor redness.
- Rarely - hematomas.
- Individual intolerance to the administered drugs in the form of allergies.
- Skin inflammation caused by poor personal hygiene.
[ 10 ]
Late consequences of contour plastic surgery
- Fibrosis.
- Formation of keloids.
- Extensive subcutaneous hematomas.
- Infection of the correction area and inflammatory process up to an abscess.
Complications from the late category are extremely rare according to statistics. More often, patients may develop swelling and transient hyperemia, which is considered acceptable phenomena that do not threaten the client's health. Serious problems are associated either with a gross violation of skin care rules after correction, or with illiterate work of the doctor, which is unlikely to happen in professional salons and medical centers.
Bruises after contour plastic surgery
Any injection is an injury to the skin, subcutaneous tissue and possibly soft tissue. Contour correction involves the injection of fillers, so bruises after contour plastic surgery are quite common. From a medical point of view, transient bruises at the injection site are an acceptable skin condition that does not pose a threat to health in general. They can be avoided if you follow these recommendations:
- At the initial preliminary consultation, the client should tell the doctor about all of his or her illnesses. It is the concealment of certain facts in pursuit of immediate results on the part of the client that can lead to such a phenomenon as hematomas in the plastic surgery area. This may be due to taking anticoagulants or diseases of the vascular system, diabetes or systemic autoimmune processes. To minimize the risk of bruising, the patient must trust the doctor.
- An incorrectly selected drug with a high degree of concentration without taking into account the characteristics of the patient's skin. Such situations are practically excluded if the procedure is carried out in a medical center or a professional beauty salon.
Even if bruises do appear after contour plastic surgery, you should not be afraid of them. This is a temporary skin condition that goes away fairly quickly within 1-3 days. Larger subcutaneous hemorrhages can really cause both physical and cosmetic discomfort, especially in people with impaired blood clotting. In such cases, the doctor can prescribe external absorbable drugs - Heparin gel, Troxevasin. Bruises should go away within a week without a trace, and the effect of the procedure, lasting from six months to a year, will subsequently completely neutralize the memories of minor troubles in the form of bruises.
Fibrosis after contour plastic surgery
The popularity of contour plastic procedures is beyond doubt; the only thing that can spoil the joy of the result is temporary, transient side effects, which include fibrosis in particular.
To completely dispel fears and concerns, it is necessary to go back to the beginning and remember what a filler is and how it affects aesthetic problems.
The gel, which is injected into the skin, is designed to fill wrinkles, eliminate skin defects. In the area of filler injection, a temporary local compaction is formed, which is called fibrosis. Fibrosis after contour plastic surgery is not only an acceptable phenomenon, but also, in some cases, desirable. It is such compactions that indicate that the process of activating the production of collagen fibers has begun successfully. Subcutaneous compactions are nothing more than evidence of the effectiveness of the injected filler. Of course, fibrosis that persists after 7-10 days is not a completely normal condition, but the cause of such a side effect may be the very thin, sensitive skin of the patient. Almost all gels used in cosmetology are based on hyaluronic acid, which in turn is not able to remain under the skin forever. Over time, under the influence of natural fermentation, the filler is absorbed and completely eliminated from the body without any dire consequences for health.
In any case, if you are concerned about the atypical condition of your skin after the procedures, you should not panic, all you need to do is seek additional advice from a cosmetologist.
Complications of contour plastic surgery
Despite the fact that contour correction of appearance defects is considered a safer procedure compared to full-fledged surgical plastic surgery, injection manipulations are in any case accompanied by some temporary discomfort. In rare cases, complications occur that are most likely associated not with the procedure itself, but with an incorrectly selected filler concentration by the doctor, with the characteristics of the patient's skin, or with the fact that the person for some reason hid his disease from the cosmetologist. Let us immediately stipulate that side effects and complications of contour plastic surgery are an extremely rare phenomenon, however, it is worth warning about such risks.
What complications can accompany contour plastic surgery?
- Swelling (edema). These complications can be quite minor and quite acceptable, because any injection is considered a microdamage to the skin in one way or another. A small swelling at the injection site goes away without a trace within one, maximum three days. You should see a doctor if swelling develops or does not subside within a week.
- Bruises, hematomas. Small subcutaneous hemorrhages are considered normal, especially if the correction area is large. Small, fine bruises resolve on their own within 5-7 days, usually earlier. Side effects and complications of contour plastic surgery are extensive hematomas, which can develop in cases of very deep insertion of the volumizer in people who constantly take anticoagulants. It is for this reason that before the procedure, the doctor interviews the client and finds out all possible conditions and diseases that are contraindications to correction. If the patient hides such information or violates the rules of skin care after contour plastic surgery, hematomas are quite likely. In such situations, the hematomas that appear are a reason to immediately contact a cosmetologist who will prescribe the necessary external preparations.
- Weak effect after the procedure, which cannot be attributed to complications or side effects, but such cases occur when the filler concentration is incorrectly selected or when they are not injected deeply enough. Such situations are easily corrected by additional injections of the volumizer.
- Hyper-effect or hyper-correction, as well as asymmetry, are extremely rare, since all modern fillers based on hyaluronic acid are bioavailable and capable of unnatural biodegradation, that is, disintegration and elimination from the body.
- Allergy is possible with individual intolerance to the components of the injected filler. Symptoms of an allergic reaction are typical - swelling, itching, redness of the skin. Allergy can be prevented with the help of an initial consultation and the necessary precautions, a conversation and questioning of the doctor are mandatory before the procedure.
- Loss of sensitivity in the correction area is possible if the injection injures the nerve endings (or they are compressed by the filler). Such conditions are unpleasant, but transient. As the drug is absorbed within 14 days, the numbness should go away.
- Infiltrates and swelling. They can be provoked by violations of skin care rules after contour plastic surgery, for example, drinking alcohol or visiting a sauna. Infiltrates resolve on their own within 1 month, but in order for them not to develop, the patient should follow all the recommendations of the cosmetologist.
- Infection and inflammation in the correction area are practically excluded. Antiseptic conditions are in principle unacceptable when performing the procedure in professional salons and clinics, therefore any inflammatory process on the skin after injections can be caused by violation of personal hygiene rules. Signs of infection can be redness, throbbing pain at the injection site, these symptoms require immediate elimination, and this is possible only with the help of a doctor.
- Exacerbation of herpes. Relapses of herpes infection may occur as a response to an injection in the area where herpes rashes previously occurred (lips). Adequate treatment is prescribed by a dermatologist, cosmetologist.
- Strands, nodules, visible and felt after the procedure. Such conditions are not considered a complication, since the filler is quickly absorbed on its own.
- Hyperpigmentation is visible, atypical spots on the skin that may appear if the rules of care after injections are not followed, most often due to ultraviolet radiation and exposure to direct sunlight.
- Migrating gel is the displacement of the injected preparation under the skin and, as a result, compaction, strands. Such a complication may occur in the case of too deep injection of the filler into soft tissues. The side effect of migration is practically excluded when injecting fillers based on hyaluronic acid.
- Granulomas, nodule-shaped compactions. They appear as a result of an inflammatory process or infection of the skin in the correction area. Compliance with personal hygiene and antiseptic rules during the procedure eliminates granulomas by almost 99%.
- Fibrosis or atypical compaction of connective tissue. This is an acceptable condition, moreover, sometimes even desirable. The injected filler a priori triggers the activation of collagen fiber formation, so transient fibrosis can be considered a normal phenomenon. If fibrosis progresses, the nodules are encapsulated, immediate consultation and assistance of a cosmetologist is required. There is no need to be afraid of such complications, since hyaluronate is subject to fermentation, disintegration and elimination from the body in any case.
- Tissue necrosis is caused by a severe disruption of the nutrition and blood supply to the subcutaneous layers. Such conditions are practically excluded in modern cosmetology practice, but signs of local ischemia in the nasolabial triangle area are a reason for immediate action and the appointment of adequate treatment.
- Scars and keloids are extremely rare after contour plastic surgery. They may be a consequence of violation of the rules of post-procedural skin care, or may develop due to a bruise or injury to the corrected area.
Side effects and complications of contour plastic surgery are considered rare, since modern technologies in the field of aesthetic medicine almost 90% exclude any discomfort and risk. If the correction is carried out in a professional salon, clinic, medical center, the client does not risk anything, on the contrary, he expects a magnificent result in the form of rejuvenation and renewal of appearance.
Recommendations after contour plastic surgery
Many clients are interested in the question - how to care for the skin after the introduction of fillers? Such advice is necessarily given by a cosmetologist both before and after the procedure. It should be noted that, unlike a full-fledged surgical lift, an operation, the skin after contour correction does not require specialized care, since complications in the form of long-term edema and hematomas do not occur. However, some measures should still be taken.
Recommendations after contour plastic surgery:
- It is necessary to limit the use of decorative cosmetics immediately after injections. Such restrictions are provided for only one day. On the second day, you can safely apply the necessary makeup without fear of complications.
- During the first day after the procedure, clients are advised not to touch the skin with their hands and to minimize any physical contact with the area being corrected.
- After plastic surgery, you should avoid direct sunlight, sunbathing or visiting tanning studios (solariums). The restriction is valid for two weeks.
- For 14 days, or better yet, a month, you should use cosmetics and creams with a high degree of UV protection (SPF30).
- You should not visit a sauna, swimming pool, or bathhouse for 14 days.
- It is advisable to avoid hypothermia and long walks in the cold if the procedure is carried out in winter.
- If after injections there is slight swelling or minor hemorrhages on the skin (this is possible with very sensitive skin), you can use special anti-edema gels and absorbable ointments as recommended by a cosmetologist.
- It is not recommended to carry out other procedures after plastic surgery, such as peeling, facial cleansing, etc. This restriction is valid for 1-1.5 months.
- Many doctors advise clients to sleep on their backs so that the gel is better and faster distributed in the tissues. However, such recommendations cannot be considered mandatory, everything depends on individual habits.
- For 14 days, you should not take medications that affect blood clotting and concentration (anticoagulants, aspirin).
- Any massage in the area of contour correction is excluded.
- It is advisable not to take very hot baths for 2 weeks.
Recommendations after contour plastic surgery are not difficult to follow, as a rule, such rules do not change the usual way of life of patients and do not cause them discomfort. For the sake of changing their appearance, achieving results, many are ready to make great sacrifices, and contour plastic surgery does not involve them at all.
Care after contour plastic surgery
The advantage of the contour correction procedure is not only the quick effect and painlessness of the procedure, but also the fact that care after contour plastic surgery is practically not required. All recommendations for post-procedural skin care are given by a cosmetologist depending on the age, problem and condition of the client's skin.
What are the rules for care after contour plastic surgery?
- For one or two days, it is not advisable to use any decorative cosmetics, with the exception of a high-quality corrective foundation or gel that has a high degree of UV protection and is hypoallergenic.
- On the recommendation of a doctor, you can use certain external anti-inflammatory ointments and gels, everything depends on the skin type and possible transient complications (swelling or minor bruises).
- To reduce the risk of developing hematomas or to help them resolve more quickly, doctors may recommend applying heparin gel, Traumeel Gel, to the skin, but most often such measures are not required and independent use of ointments is unacceptable.
- For a month, or better yet, permanently, the skin should be protected from direct exposure to ultraviolet radiation. This can be done through skin care, using high-quality creams with a high degree of UV protection.
- For a week after the procedure, the client is advised to avoid physical contact with the corrected area, most often this means the habit of touching the face. Even thoroughly washed hands can create a risk of infection or injury to the skin, it is better to observe your own transformation and the effect of rejuvenation, looking in the reflection of the mirror.
- Visits to public swimming pools, saunas, and baths are excluded. Such precautions should be observed for 14 days, or better yet, for a month.
- Infection, inflammation, abscesses - this is a reason for an immediate visit to the doctor, and not an attempt at self-treatment. The cosmetologist will find out the cause of complications and prescribe adequate external drugs to eliminate negative phenomena. As a rule, such discomfort situations are transient and respond well to anti-inflammatory therapy.
In short, care after contour plastic surgery is not difficult, the main thing is to follow the advice of a cosmetologist and not to strive to experiment with the use of untested products.

Reviews of contour plastic surgery
Contour correction has become a real revolution in the field of cosmetology, therefore reviews of contour plastics are most often not just positive, but mostly admiring. Statistics and feedback analysis in many clinics are conducted using questionnaires or periodic personal surveys over the phone. In addition, professional salons and medical centers that respect their clients and themselves regularly monitor the results after a series of rejuvenating procedures. Inexorable facts, in contrast to promotional advertising, say that in 85% of cases, reviews of contour plastics from the overwhelming majority of women (95%) and men (78%) are positive. In addition, the development of pharmaceutical innovations, the emergence of new improved fillers, volumizers makes almost all procedures more accessible in terms of pricing policy. If ten years ago only a wealthy lady could afford contour correction, today the effect of rejuvenation and improvement of appearance is available to almost any woman. It should be noted that the still-living myth about cosmetic procedures as an expensive pleasure slightly prevents non-surgical contour plastic surgery from taking its rightful place in aesthetic medicine. But this is already the concern of marketers and advertising directors from medical centers and salons, and readers should still try and make sure of the availability and effectiveness of truly "magic" injection plastic surgery. The procedures last no more than half an hour, are absolutely painless, and in case of increased sensitivity, local external anesthesia is also performed using Emla cream. The result will not only surprise you, but is also guaranteed to please: within 8 or 12 months, and possibly longer - it all depends on the problem being corrected, your appearance will literally be transformed towards rejuvenation.

Prices for contour plastic surgery
Technologies of non-surgical correction of appearance are becoming more and more accessible nowadays. If earlier, literally several decades ago, it was possible to improve appearance, tighten the oval of the face, eliminate skin defects, wrinkles only with the help of plastic surgery or expensive injection plastic surgery, today any representative of the fair sex can use the services of medical centers, beauty salons, regardless of social status. Of course, the prices of contour plastics differ from the purchase of cosmetics, however, if you divide the cost of the procedure by the time period of the result obtained, the monthly amount will be more than acceptable.
What can contour plastic surgery prices depend on?
- The status of a salon or medical center. The higher the category of the establishment, the more requirements are imposed on it, so to meet certain criteria, expenses are also needed from the administration. Nevertheless, even the most prestigious and fashionable salons regularly hold promotions to attract clients, have systems of cumulative discounts, loans and other attractive marketing techniques. All this allows almost anyone who wants to improve their appearance to receive the desired service.
- The complexity of the correction, the degree of accessibility and the size of the corrected area. For example, the face is considered quite easy for plastic surgery, but the area around the eyes requires a certain level of skill, specific methods and preparations. The larger the problem area, the greater the material consumption, and the price of the procedure increases accordingly.
- Selecting a drug that corrects problem areas. The cost of a filler may vary depending on the manufacturer's price, the concentration of hyaluronic acid or another active substance.
- Number of procedures. Sometimes one visit to a cosmetologist is enough to solve an aesthetic problem, but sometimes it is necessary to perform a repeated, additional correction by introducing a filler into the appropriate area.
The most affordable is mesotherapy, in Ukraine its cost can be from 50 to 150 $. Volumetric contour plastic surgery is more expensive, which assumes a price from 100 to 400 $. Quite often, beauty centers offer promotions during which the price of procedures is reduced by up to 50%, so even if you do not have enough financial resources, you should closely follow events in the world of cosmetology and regularly inquire about events held in salons. Thus, the costs of injection correction can vary, but as a rule, their amount is discussed in advance during the initial consultation with a specialist.
Contour plastic surgery is an innovative method, an alternative to a rather painful procedure - surgical correction. No more than half an hour of time, painless manipulations and almost immediate results - is this not a reason to go to a beauty salon and eliminate wrinkles, restore smoothness and elasticity to your skin, and simply make yourself look a few years younger? After all, as the world-famous Hollywood star Jane Fonda said: "Beauty does not require sacrifice, beauty needs attention, care and regular maintenance, then it can be preserved for many years."
