Contour plastic surgery of the cheeks is based on the introduction of special biopolymer preparations - fillers, and one of the plastic surgery options can also be lipofilling, when the patient's own fatty tissue is injected into the neck area.

Of course, the effect of injection methods is less long-lasting, but these methods do not have complications in the form of swelling or postoperative scars.

The volume and contour of the face largely depend on how elastic the cheeks look. Full, slightly protruding cheekbones and cheeks give the face a more youthful, fresh look, while a sunken cheek area creates an image of fatigue and exhaustion. The problem of restoring attractiveness and youth can be solved by contour plastic surgery of the cheeks, which is an excellent alternative to a full-fledged operation involving the use of biocompatible implants. A safe method allows you to restore skin elasticity, model the overall contour of the face and return a woman to a wonderful mood from the result seen in the mirror.

What preparations are used in cheek contouring?

Most often, doctors prefer to work with various types of fillers based on hyaluronic acid, collagen can also be introduced into the cheek-cheekbone area, but the choice of the drug depends on the condition of the client's skin. Hyaluronic acid has the property of accumulating and retaining the natural moisture of soft tissues, so the cheeks not only gain volume, but also look young, the skin becomes more elastic. Collagen acts somewhat differently, in addition to volume, it gives the cheeks an attractive elasticity, filling and smoothing it from the inside. One of the advantages of such fillers is their complete compatibility with facial tissues and the ability to "fix" in the desired sector, without shifting under the skin. A longer-lasting result can be achieved if biopolymers are injected into the cheek area, but they have one drawback - their introduction causes greater discomfort and after the procedure, fibrous capsules may form and swelling may persist for 3-4 days. In contour plastic surgery of cheeks, silicone and biopolymer gels are currently rarely used, since any client still prefers a painless and safe procedure, that is, the introduction of fillers based on hyaluronic acid.

How is cheek contouring procedure performed?

  • The correction area is treated with an antiseptic.
  • Local anesthesia is mandatory.
  • Before administering the drug, the doctor marks the cheek area using a special technique (according to Hinderer); the patient must be in a sitting position at this time so that the doctor can see the maximum signs of ptosis (sagging, drooping of the skin).
  • The first injection is carried out at a point from which it will subsequently be convenient to distribute the filler using the true tunnel technique, capturing the entire correction area •
  • On average, 1.5 to 2 milliliters of filler can be used for each cheek.
  • Contour correction of the cheek-zygomatic area can also be performed using cannulas. This method is considered to be more painless and less traumatic for the skin. The cannula has a specific tip in the form of a miniature bullet, which allows the drug to be injected into the desired area without rupturing the tissue, moving along pre-marked lines.

Cheek correction can be performed using botulinum toxin injections – substances that are neutral and do not affect human organs and systems. The main effect of botulinum toxin injection is blocking the transmission of impulses along the nerve endings in the facial muscle tissue, and the result is visible almost instantly – smoothing of deep expression wrinkles in the lower part of the cheekbone-cheekbone zone and weakening of the tone of the chewing muscles that create a visual “bulge”. The introduction of Botox allows you to somewhat reduce full cheeks and create a more elongated, “aristocratic” oval of the face, if a woman really wants it.

Thus, contour plastic surgery of the cheeks can be carried out in the following variants:

  1. Increasing the volume of the cheekbones (replenishing the lack of fat) - filler injections.
  2. Elimination of expression wrinkles – botulinum toxin injections.
  3. Correction of the facial contour with obvious age-related deficiency of fatty tissue in the cheek area – lipofilling.
