The claimed effect of glucosamine sulfate

Scientific data prescribe the use of glucosamine sulfate for the treatment of both mild and moderate osteoarthritis of the knee. His role in the treatment of more severe knee osteoarthritis and osteoarthritis in other parts of the body is less well defined. Some evidence suggests that the drug had both an analgesic and a disease-modifying effect. Its mechanism is unknown, but it can be associated with an improved synthesis of glycosaminoglycan as a result of half sulfate. The dose is 500 mg orally 3 times a day.

Adverse effects of glucosamine sulfate

Allergies may occur (in patients with allergy to mollusks, but who take the drug with the content of the corresponding component), indigestion, fatigue, insomnia, headache, photosensitivity and changes in the nails.
