Dandruff is an exfoliation of flakes of skin located in the scalp. A large number of them indicates the presence of a disease associated with a possible metabolic disorder, damage to the skin by a fungus, or malfunction of the sebaceous glands. This phenomenon is unpleasant because of its unaesthetic (constant "snow" effect on clothes), as well as the appearance of itching. The problem requires treatment with the help of special shampoos, which involve components that affect the mechanisms of its formation. One of them is dandruff shampoo "Sulsena". [1]
Indications Shampoo Sulsena for dandruff
Shampoo "Sulsena" is used in the presence of peeling of the scalp, itching , profuse dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp.
Pharmacodynamics
The shampoo owes its therapeutic effect to the presence in its composition of selenium disulfide - a compound of selenium and sulfur, which has an antiseptic and disinfectant effect. Its medicinal properties are aimed at inhibiting the process of reproduction of yeast-like fungi, restoring the functioning of the sebaceous glands, protecting the skin of the head, and accelerating the regeneration of the epidermis. [2],
Other components provide foam formation (sodium laureth sulfate, acrylates copolymer, coco-glucoside), good washing ability (PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate); shine and softness of hair (dimethiconol), dissolution of sebum and cleansing of dead cells (citric and salicylic acid). [3],
Dosing and administration
Shampoo is applied to wet hair, starting from the roots and distributing along their entire length. With the help of warm water, it foams slightly, paying special attention to the root part. After 3-5 minutes of waiting, it is thoroughly washed off. The expected result is obtained only after 3-4 times. The hair wash has a cumulative effect, so after a month of use you need to take a break.
- Application for children
Fungal infections of the skin of the scalp are also possible in children. Shampoo "Sulsena" and in this case is used to combat dandruff.
Use Shampoo Sulsena for dandruff during pregnancy
"Sulsena" is not recommended for use by pregnant and lactating women because of the possibility of a teratogenic and fetotoxic effect of selenium disulfide (development under its action of congenital malformations, changes in the vital functions of the fetus).
Contraindications
"Sulsena" is not used for allergies to its components, violations of the integrity of the skin of the head. Contraindication for use is pregnancy.
Side effects Shampoo Sulsena for dandruff
Side effects on the use of shampoo can be various skin manifestations of an allergic nature: rash, itching, redness. It is also possible to change the color of the hair, in rare cases, their local loss.
Storage conditions
Shampoo can be stored on a shelf in the bathroom until it is completely used, paste - in an ordinary room. The shelf life of an opened bottle of shampoo is 36 months, paste - 2 years.
Analogues
In addition to the usual shampoo "Sulsena", a peeling shampoo is produced, a paste (1% and 2%), which has already been mentioned. The first is used for the prevention of seborrhea (applied twice a week for a month), and the second - with a therapeutic and prophylactic purpose (for 3 months).
Against dandruff, you can use other hair cleansers with a similar effect:
- "Friederm Zinc";
- "Friderm tar";

- "Perhotal";
- " Nizoral ";

Reviews
Feedback from users of Sulsena therapeutic shampoo indicates that many, based on its low price, did not expect such an effect. I was pleasantly surprised not only by the disappearance of dandruff, but also by the real improvement of hair, the reduction of hair loss, and the acquisition of a well-groomed appearance.
The complex use of shampoo with Sulsena paste "works" especially well for dandruff.
