Freshly prepared vegetable juices do not require large energy expenditures from the body for assimilation, but in themselves they are excellent biostimulants - they increase immunity and performance, have a positive effect on the functioning of the digestive organs, tone and lift the mood.
Fresh juices from ripe non-acidic vegetables will be a good addition to drug therapy for stomach inflammation with overproduction of hydrochloric acid. Juices, for example, potato and pumpkin, are able to neutralize excess acid no worse than drugs, and vitamins and mineral components will be a good support for the sick organism.
Indications for the use of juices for hyperacid gastritis are normalization of gastric acidity, reduction of pain syndrome and dyspeptic phenomena.
In order to get tangible benefits from juices, it is necessary to familiarize yourself with some simple rules for their preparation and use, as well as the properties of vegetables recommended specifically for increased acid content in gastric juice.
Juice should not be squeezed for future use, it should be drunk immediately after preparation, diluted with clean water in a 1:1 ratio. Juices should be consumed before meals, you can drink them in the morning on an empty stomach to get a boost of vitamins, then have breakfast a quarter of an hour later. In order not to damage the enamel of your teeth, rinse your mouth with water after drinking them. For cooking, you should choose ripe and juicy vegetables, rotten and slightly wilted ones - in no case. Spoiled vegetables do not have the same amount of vitamins, the beginning of the rotting process provokes the appearance of toxic substances even in those parts of the vegetable that look quite safe. You should definitely not expect any benefit from such juice, it can only harm.
You cannot improve the taste of juice by adding sugar or salt to it, you can add a little - no more than a teaspoon of honey. Duration of juice therapy - until the symptoms disappear completely, alternate two weeks of intake with two-week intervals between them. If you follow the recommendations, juice treatment can be very effective.

Potato juice
This drink has a pronounced alkaline reaction and is recommended for the treatment of hyperacid gastritis, primarily as a neutralizer of excess acidity. Its effectiveness becomes noticeable after several days of regular use.
Potato tubers juice has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, in addition, it has an analgesic effect, which is important for gastritis with high acidity. The good wound-healing ability of this product allows you to quickly restore eroded mucous membranes.
Potato juice will help get rid of heartburn, constipation, toxins, and at the same time will help remove swelling and lower blood pressure. This vegetable contains almost all plant amino acids, minerals are mainly alkaline salts of potassium, phosphorus, and to a lesser extent magnesium, calcium, and iron. Potatoes contain vitamin C and much less B6, B2, and B3.
The most suitable variety of potato is one with pinkish oval tubers. You need to choose medium-sized, undamaged roots. It is strongly recommended not to use greenish potatoes for cooking. Prepared roots should be washed thoroughly and you can leave them unpeeled, since most of the necessary substances are in the very top layer. It is advisable to drink the juice from the freshest potatoes (at the end of summer or in the fall), if necessary - no later than February. You can squeeze the juice using a food processor or juicer, or manually, using a grater and several layers of gauze. Drink the juice immediately after preparation, letting the starch suspension settle for a couple of minutes. If you need to make juice from several vegetables, including potatoes, then the potato juice is squeezed out last.
For hyperacid gastritis, potato juice is taken once a day, after waking up, on an empty stomach in a volume of 200 ml. Then you need to lie down again for 30 minutes. Have breakfast in another half hour. Treatment is carried out in three ten-day courses, between which there are breaks of the same duration.
Three to four days before the start of the course of treatment, you need to exclude meat and fish dishes from your diet and stick to this diet throughout the entire treatment period.
However, potato juice therapy has some contraindications. Considering the ability of this juice to significantly reduce the level of hydrochloric acid in the stomach, it is not recommended to drink it in case of gastritis with its deficiency.
Diabetics should also exercise caution, as the starch found in abundance in root vegetables is converted into glucose during digestion.
Carrot juice
The bright orange color of this root vegetable is due to ß-carotene, which carrots are richest in. Vitamin A, into which this substance is converted in the body, has high reparative properties and accelerates the restoration of the mucous membrane. Carrots contain flavonoids, and Helicobacter pylori does not like them. In addition to ß-carotene, carrots contain tocopherol, ascorbic acid, phytoncides, and many micro- and macroelements. And yet, with gastritis with high acidity, the benefits of carrot juice are very controversial. It increases appetite and stimulates the production of gastric juice, and in this case there is already excess acidity. Therefore, carrot juice alone, despite all its benefits, is not advisable for hyperacid gastritis. However, if you mix carrot and potato juices in equal proportions and add ½ of beetroot and cabbage juices to them, the effectiveness of such treatment, as advocates of juice therapy claim, will be higher and the taste of this drink will be much more pleasant than just potato juice. In this case, beetroot juice is squeezed first, then the rest after two hours, and potato juice is made last.
Contraindications to the use of carrot juice include excess sulfuric acid in the gastric juice, as well as gastric colic, it is not recommended to use it if you have a stomach ulcer. And diabetics and pregnant women need to be careful. Carrots contain a lot of natural sugars, and diabetics need to consult a doctor about whether it is possible to introduce juice from this root vegetable into the diet, and in the first months of pregnancy, vitamin A, which is abundant in this vegetable, can even be dangerous for the developing future baby.
An overdose of carrot juice can cause fatigue, fever, headache, and jaundice. This will all go away once you stop drinking the juice.
Before making the juice, the carrots need to be washed well and you don't need to peel them, just scrape them with a stiff vegetable brush. The juice should be consumed immediately after it is made.

Cabbage juice
Freshly squeezed juice from white cabbage leaves contains vitamin and provitamin C, vitamin PP, B1, B2 and B9, and the vitamins are preserved in cabbage in almost the same quantities for quite a long time - up to eight months. The leaves of this plant contain vitamin U, which heals erosions and ulcers of the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract. However, cabbage juice is not recommended for relapses, but during the period of attenuation of acute symptoms, it can serve as a good means of preventing erosive and ulcerative lesions. For gastritis with high acidity, cabbage juice is recommended to be mixed with potato juice, since it stimulates the production of gastric juice, but its anti-inflammatory, regenerating and wound-healing properties can help restore the gastric mucosa. Patients with excessive acid formation are advised to consult a nutritionist before starting to drink cabbage juice about the dosage and frequency of its use.
Do not drink cabbage juice if you have excessive gas formation; if your body reacts to drinking the juice with bloating or colic, it is better to stop taking it.
Tomato juice
Tomato juice also has a lot of useful substances. One glass of such freshly prepared juice provides the human body with ½ of the norm of ascorbic acid, retinol, and stimulates digestive activity.
Tomatoes contain organic acid compounds - malic acid, it is the most abundant, in addition - tartaric, oxalic and citric, and overripe tomatoes (from which juice is most often made) - contain succinic acid, the most healing and very rare. However, this drink increases the production of gastric juice and therefore, with excessive acid formation, it can cause harm.
Pumpkin juice
This is one of the few juices that are definitely allowed for hyperacid gastritis. Pumpkin is a natural complex polymineral and polyvitamin remedy. In terms of ß-carotene content, it is equal to carrots, and the regenerative abilities of vitamin A are essential for damage to the gastric mucosa. Vitamins C, E, D, PP, F, which are prescribed to people with inflammatory processes of the digestive mucosa in synthetic multivitamin complexes, are 100% absorbed from natural freshly squeezed juice. In addition, it contains the rare vitamins K and T, which are necessary for hematopoiesis and the absorption of difficult-to-digest foods. Micro- and macroelements normalize metabolism and the functioning of the nervous system, help reduce inflammatory manifestations and renew tissue cells. Pumpkin juice neutralizes excess acid in the stomach, eliminating heartburn, nausea and pain, promotes the outflow of bile and restores the normal digestion process. Pumpkin juice is recommended to be consumed 100 mg daily before breakfast for ten days.
This juice can be harmful in severe forms of insulin-dependent diabetes, reduced production of hydrochloric acid, and acute diarrhea.
Aloe juice
This is a universal remedy that is used for gastritis with any secretory function. Aloe stimulates the processes of epithelial cell restoration and prevents their damage, improves blood microcirculation in tissues, eliminates the inflammatory process and binds free radicals. It has an antiseptic, immunostimulating, laxative effect. It soothes irritated mucous membrane of the digestive organs, colic, heartburn. It heals erosions and ulcers, has an anti-allergic effect.
Aloe has astringent properties, which is also valuable for high acidity, as well as for erosive gastritis.
To make the treatment effective, the middle and lower leaves of aloe that are at least three years old are used to obtain the juice. They are cut and kept in the refrigerator. The juice is squeezed out immediately before use.
The optimal dosage is ten drops three times a day half an hour before meals. The duration of therapy is from three weeks to two months. If gastritis is accompanied by constipation, the dosage can be increased to 50 mg, based on your feelings.
Undiluted juice of this plant is contraindicated in acute abdomen syndrome, uterine bleeding, pregnant and lactating women, diseases of the heart and blood vessels, liver, hemorrhoids and individual intolerance.
Beetroot juice
Beet juice stimulates the production of gastric juice, so it is not advisable to consume it in its pure form with hyperacid gastritis. Although beets contain many useful substances, especially minerals. The content of iodine, zinc and iron in beets is much higher than in other vegetables. However, high acidity is one of the contraindications for drinking fresh beet juice. This vegetable can only be eaten boiled (steamed) or baked during the period of remission in gastritis with high acidity. Heat treatment practically does not deprive it of useful properties, and freshly prepared juice can harm the body.
It is important to remember that self-medication, even with natural substances, can be not only beneficial, but also harmful. When taking juice treatment, you need to take into account your individual tolerance to plant products, and also start with small test doses, and if the body accepts the treatment well, you can continue, increasing the dose to the recommended one. If bloating, colic, or diarrhea begin from drinking fresh juice, you should stop the treatment.
If juice therapy is intended to complement the action of medications, a consultation with a qualified specialist is required, since only he can determine the possible compatibility of the juice with the prescribed treatment.
