- Eating broccoli, garlic and pineapples may reduce the risk of N-nitro-induced cancer due to the detoxifying and antitumor properties of these plants.
- Cruciferous vegetables – cabbage, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, mustard greens, turnips and radishes – contain a substance called indole, which stimulates the detoxifying properties of the liver and is also able to bind chemical carcinogens and remove them from the body.
- Pomegranates, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and grapes contain ellagic acid, which helps prevent carcinogenic oxidation in cell membranes.
- Green tea has the ability to remove toxins and free radicals from the body and improve immunity.

Diet for cancer prevention
The World Health Organization has published data indicating that proper and nutritious nutrition helps prevent cancer.
The diet for cancer prevention is based on the following principles:
- Every person's daily menu should contain two thirds of plant foods and only one third of protein.
- There are foods that have oncoprotective properties (helping to stop the growth of cancer cells). These products have remarkable qualities that help strengthen the immune system, have an antidepressant effect on the human psyche, and also tone the body.
The list of such food products necessary for a person is as follows:
- Cruciferous family
Eating white cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, bok choy, watercress and other vegetables that belong to this family helps slow down cancer processes in the body. This is due to the presence of substances called indoles. Experts have concluded that indoles can block the activity of excess estrogens, which can cause cancer. In order for the effect of eating vegetables to be the highest, cruciferous vegetables should be eaten raw or after minimal steaming.
- Garlic and onions of different varieties
Garlic has chelating properties, that is, the ability to bind and remove toxins from the body, for example, carcinogenic cadmium from cigarette smoke. This product also has the ability to activate white blood cells, which subsequently destroy malignant cells. In addition, garlic is rich in sulfur, which the liver needs to maintain the detoxification function.
The beneficial properties of onions include the same qualities, but in smaller quantities. Like garlic, onions contain allicin, a substance that has a strong detoxifying effect.
- Soy and soy products
Soybean dishes, as well as products made from it (tofu, miso, tempeh, soy sauce) block the division of cancer cells. Their beneficial properties also include the presence of isoflavones and phytoestrogens, which have antitumor properties. In addition, soy products are credited with reducing the toxic effects of radiation and chemotherapy on the human body.
- Almond
Almonds are distinguished by their content of leatryl, a substance that contains a cyanide-like substance that has the property of killing cancer cells. The seeds and pits of fruit trees, such as apricots, have the same property.
Sunflower and pumpkin seeds, as well as flax and sesame seeds, contain lignans, which are contained in their hard shell. This substance is a phytoestrogens, capable of removing excess estrogen from the human body, which provokes the occurrence of cancer, for example, of the uterus and mammary glands.
- Brown algae
The large amount of iodine that brown algae are famous for is necessary for the normal functioning of the thyroid gland. It performs the function of regulating the metabolism of sugar (and therefore energy) in human blood. A sufficient amount of sugar (energy) in the human body helps block tumor processes. Also, the large amount of selenium in brown algae, as a powerful antioxidant, stimulates the removal of various carcinogens and toxins from the human body.
- Tomatoes
Tomatoes contain a useful substance - lycopene, which has a powerful antioxidant effect. This explains the beneficial antitumor properties of tomatoes.
- Citrus fruits and various berries
Citrus fruits and, for example, cranberries, contain bioflavonoids that enhance the antioxidant function of vitamin C. This vitamin is also found in abundance in them. Raspberries, strawberries and pomegranates contain ellagic acid, a powerful antioxidant that prevents gene damage and reduces the development of malignant cells. Blueberries are also rich in substances that help reduce oxidative processes and slow down the aging of the body.
- Fish and eggs
These healthy foods contain Omega-3 unsaturated fatty acids, which help block the growth of malignant cells. Of the fish varieties, flounder is most famous for these properties.
- Mushrooms of Japanese and Chinese species
The following types of mushrooms, such as shiitake, maitake, rei-shi, contain the most powerful substances with immunostimulating properties - beta-glucans, which are polysaccharides. Regular mushrooms do not contain such substances, so it is worth turning to Chinese and Japanese cuisine in search of useful ingredients for an anti-cancer diet. These mushrooms can be used in any form, even dried, and added to dishes in which they will be appropriate.
- Turmeric
Turmeric is a bright yellow powder spice that has excellent anti-cancer properties. Eating turmeric reduces the production of enzymes in the human body that are responsible for inflammatory processes, especially in patients with cancer.
- Olive oil
Olive oil is rich in polyphenols, which have the ability to reduce or even stop the development of cancerous tumors in the human body.
- Green and black tea
These drinks are rich in antioxidants - polyphenols (catechins) - which have the ability to block the growth of malignant cells. First of all, preference should be given to green tea due to its higher content of these useful substances - about forty percent of the dry mass of leaves.
- There are foods whose consumption should be limited in order to prevent cancer, and some should be completely removed from the diet - alcohol, sugar, salt, meat, smoked foods.
Buckwheat Diet for Cancer
Buckwheat diet for cancer has healing properties for this disease, if you strictly adhere to the following principles:
- Raw buckwheat is used as food, namely the buckwheat sprouts that appear when the cereal is sprouted.
- Antitumor properties are possessed by sprout protein - a protease inhibitor; flavonoids - quercetin and rutin; tannins, etc.
- Green buckwheat sprouting is done in the following way. You need to take one or two glasses of green buckwheat, a convenient bowl, a container with a lid or a jar with a lid with holes (or a cloth with a rubber band instead of a lid).
- Buckwheat is washed, poured into a container for germination and filled with water in an amount of two to four glasses and left for one to three hours.
