Dandruff is the peeling of skin flakes located in the scalp. A large number of them indicates the presence of a disease associated with a possible metabolic disorder, fungal infection of the skin, or improper functioning of the sebaceous glands. This phenomenon is unpleasant because of its unaesthetic appearance (a permanent "snowy" effect on clothes), as well as the appearance of itching. The problem requires treatment with special shampoos that contain components that affect the mechanisms of its formation. One of them is the anti-dandruff shampoo "Sulsena". [ 1 ]
Indications Sulsena shampoo for dandruff.
Sulsena shampoo is used in case of flaking of the scalp, itching, abundant dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp.
Pharmacodynamics
The shampoo owes its therapeutic effect to the presence of selenium disulfide in its composition - a compound of selenium and sulfur, which has an antiseptic and disinfectant effect. Its therapeutic properties are aimed at inhibiting the process of reproduction of yeast-like fungi, restoring the sebaceous glands, protecting the scalp, and accelerating the regeneration of the epidermis. [ 2 ]
Other components provide foam formation (sodium laureth sulfate, acrylates copolymer, coco-glucoside), good cleaning ability (PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate); shine and softness of hair (dimethiconol), dissolution of sebum and cleansing of dead cells (citric and salicylic acid). [ 3 ]
Dosing and administration
Apply the shampoo to damp hair, starting from the roots and spreading along the entire length. Lightly foam with warm water, paying special attention to the root part. After 3-5 minutes of waiting, rinse thoroughly. The expected result is obtained only after 3-4 times. The hair wash has a cumulative effect, so after a month of use, you need to take a break.
- Application for children
Fungal infections of the scalp are also possible in children. Sulsena shampoo is used in this case to combat dandruff.
