Starting from the age of 5, you can already roughly determine what your child is inclined to. You should not choose a sports section just because you like it. It is best for a child to do something that is interesting to him and that corresponds to his physiological characteristics.

Child's health

First of all, go through a medical examination with your child. Your baby should not have any problems with the cardiovascular system – this is the most important thing. If, however, heart failure is present, you should choose a healthier sport that involves low physical activity or excludes it altogether.

Every person can do sports, if he is not an absolute invalid. If the child has problems with the functioning of blood vessels or blood pressure, it is better to save him from various martial arts. In this case, these sports can be wonderfully replaced by skiing or volleyball.

If a child suffers from asthma, it is not advisable for him to engage in athletics, any manifestations of running, especially in dusty areas. But it will be just great if the child takes up swimming, it is on the list of the best sports for children that develop the respiratory system.

Most world-class athletes did not have perfect health in early childhood. These people were able to cope with their childhood illnesses only thanks to sports and an active life. And also because of a huge desire to be better than they are and not to stop there.

Useful tips

When choosing a sport, the geographical location of the sections where your child can train is important. The most important thing is that it is convenient for the child to get to the place of his training. If, for example, a child needs to go to school for an hour and a half, study there all day, and then go to training for another hour, and after training home, then there will be no health gain.

Try to choose the most convenient place for your child, from a geographical point of view. The maximum distance to get to the section where your child will be engaged in some kind of sport should be short. No more than 30-40 minutes to the sports section.

You can take a map and carefully outline the area with a compass where you can look for a possible place for your baby's training. The method is very convenient because you don't have to bother too much and the result will be obvious (at least saving time when choosing a location).

Individual characteristics

Height. If your baby is growing very quickly, try volleyball or basketball. In such sports, centimeters count. If the child is tall, any coach will forgive the child for being slow or having poor coordination. If the parents are tall, it is easy to calculate that the child will most likely not be small. But if we are talking about artistic gymnastics, it is better not to send tall children there, since they are not considered very promising in this sport, since they need to be able to fold, etc., which is not very good for tall children.

If we take football or hockey, then here the child needs to be very fast and have a predisposition to quick decisions. Scientists have proven that the maximum percentage of speed development is 10% of its initial parameters. So your child must be fast by nature, so that during training he can simply hone his natural advantages.

Psychological comfort

Sports sections for children are not a one-day choice, but if you choose correctly, it can become a lifetime pleasure. Support your child and do not scold him if he does not succeed in his chosen sport. Everything is still ahead. Let him believe that everything will work out.
