Parents pay little attention to the problem of adaptation to kindergarten, alas, it is true. Why does a child have frequent colds, respiratory diseases, bad mood and loud, prolonged crying, hysterics before going to kindergarten?

I don't want to go to kindergarten!

Children tolerate kindergartens much worse than school. Because this is their first contact with other children for a long time, separation from their parents and their first strange food.

If you send your children to a kindergarten from the nursery age, they will still get used to this institution, but they may start calling their teachers moms. If the convenient habit of sending children to a nursery becomes more frequent, this may have a negative effect on the children's sense of closeness to the family and the feeling of their parents' presence. The consequences make themselves known even in the adult life of already growing children.

If you can afford to stay with your baby at least until he or she is 3-4 years old, do not miss this opportunity. Even when a second child is born, do not send your eldest to kindergarten. He or she can perform very useful functions: put away toys, blankets, entertain the younger child, play with a rattle with a younger brother or sister. Naturally, do not lose sight of the fact that children should have the opportunity to become attached to each other, and if they are separated into kindergartens and different grandmothers, an emotional gap may occur.

If your child does have to go to kindergarten, you need to prepare for it together.

Getting ready for kindergarten

The first thing you need to do is not to worry. If you worry too much before going to kindergarten, the child will also start to worry and get used to being nervous before going to kindergarten. Do not tell the child about what can complicate his life in the kindergarten, and especially do not tell him that it will be better there than it is possible. Try to explain everything to the child correctly, realistically, as an ordinary necessity with its advantages.

Before going to kindergarten, try to make sure that the child gets used to eating everything at once, without frequent and light snacks. Feed him at the same time of day, 3-4 times a day, depending on the baby's appetite. If you feed the child not too high-calorie foods, then his appetite will improve over time.

Talk to your baby in a confident, stern tone of voice. If, with such insistent communication with your child, he or she refuses to eat at all, or starts eating under great pressure, think about it seriously. In such a case, it is necessary to talk insistently with the teacher at the kindergarten so that this person does not force your baby to eat, but waits patiently.

Don't rush your child when eating. Very often, children don't want to go to kindergartens because they are forced to eat, and what they don't really like, because it tastes better at home. Feed your child about the same as in kindergarten, so that he gets used to the menu. If the child is panicky refusing to go to kindergarten, it may be time to think about whether he needs it at all.

Hardening before kindergarten

Toughen up your baby, especially if you are going to go to kindergarten. In kindergarten, you often meet children with poor adaptation and poor immunity, so your child should be in good health. In the warm season, namely in spring and summer, walk barefoot with your baby, not paying attention to the weather conditions.

Don't take your baby's temperature too often and don't tell him that your child might get sick. Your baby should be sure of his invulnerability, he needs to feel protected. Try to accustom your child to cold things: tea, milk, juices, water, kefir, etc. It is very useful for children to eat ice cream in small quantities. Due to the temperature difference, the child will develop immunity over time. In addition, children love ice cream, so forbidden, so delicious. It turns out that it is also very useful.

Separation from mother

Many children take parting with their parents very painfully, even for a short period of time; they do not even accept persuasion to stay with their loved ones, as it is difficult to survive separation from their mother and father.

This can manifest itself in different ways: unwillingness to eat or poor appetite, poor sleep or lack of sleep, mood loss, children constantly ask where mom, dad, ask what time it is. The reason for such behavior in children is instilled in them by their parents.

If a mother does not perceive how a child can behave, she is very anxious, incorrectly assesses her position in the family. If children behave too anxiously when parting with their parents, you can contact a psychologist, but you can also try to solve the problem yourself.

What is the right thing to do with a child?

Try to leave your child, for example, to go to the store, when he is busy with something: an exciting game with friends, drawing. You can leave him when the child is constructing a surprise for his parents with his own hands. If you are going to leave the house often and leave the child alone, teach him to count the time until it is time for him to go to bed and go to bed himself, the same applies to meal times.

Give him additional responsibilities. For example, so that he helps you look for something or wash the dishes, clean up after himself, etc. Then the child will feel responsible and the baby will not be lonely when he is alone in the house.

Tell him that thanks to his invaluable help it is much easier for you to cope around the house and he is a great guy, which makes life easier for mom or dad.

You can come up with rituals, for example, when you leave for work, so that your child waves goodbye to you from the apartment window, sees you to the door or the elevator. If you bring your child tasty or pleasant surprises when you come home from work, he will also try to please you, and will be impatiently waiting for you to enthusiastically tell you about what happened to him during the day.

Education is very important

What you give your children at an early age will affect them throughout their adult life, some things will change only slightly. Make every effort to ensure that your child is independent, responsible and appreciates you. Praise them for their successes and enthusiastically tell them about interesting things, awakening their interest. Living with such a child will be a pleasure. And problems with adaptation to kindergarten will be a thing of the past.
