Vishnevsky ointment for acne is a classic remedy for eliminating such a problem. This ointment has a wide range of action, high efficiency, and in addition, it is completely harmless to health.
Does Vishnevsky ointment help against acne?
Vishnevsky ointment contains only natural substances, so it is considered safe and highly effective. The xeroform, tar, and castor oil it contains help with acne, quickly and efficiently eliminating all skin problems.
Indications Vishnevsky's ointment for acne
Vishnevsky ointment has quite a few indications for use. Most often, it is used to eliminate acne, boils, pimples of various types, as well as wounds, scars, ulcers, etc. In addition, it has effective therapeutic and prophylactic properties.

Pharmacodynamics
Due to the proportional combination of elements of Vishnevsky ointment, the medicine acquires many medicinal properties, such as: disinfectant, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, restorative, drying, as well as softening and anti-edematous.
The drug works as follows: first, castor oil begins to act on the skin - it softens it and helps to expand the pores. Thanks to this, other components of the ointment are able to penetrate into the deeper layers of the epidermis. Then xeroform, which has penetrated deep into the skin, begins to act - it eliminates inflammation and disinfects the affected area. As a result, swelling and redness disappear from the skin - it becomes fresh and clean. The effect of xeroform can cause a burning or tingling sensation on the skin. The last to begin is tar, which actively stimulates skin receptors, as a result of which it heals and recovers faster.
Dosing and administration
The ointment can eliminate any type of acne. In all cases, it can be used according to the same principle:
The medicine should be applied only to pre-steamed, clean skin, since with open pores its components will be able to penetrate into the deepest layers of the epidermis.
To do this, you need to cleanse your face of makeup and degrease it using a toner that does not contain alcohol.
After this, you need to treat your face with ointment (the method depends on what type of acne the patient has). Subcutaneous inflammations are treated with cotton swabs (spot treatment), internal inflammations - with a gauze compress, and acne - with a mask.
It is best to perform the procedure before going to bed. During the night, all the elements of the ointment will have time to affect the skin, as a result of which the pus will come out of the pores. The medicine should be washed off in the morning using soap and warm running water.
The treatment should be repeated until the pimples or acne completely disappear from the skin.
Vishnevsky ointment for subcutaneous acne
It is quite easy to eliminate subcutaneous acne with Vishnevsky ointment. It should be applied to the affected area before the pus comes out, and then continue until the remaining wound heals. To speed up the latter process, the damaged area is allowed to be treated using hydrogen peroxide.
In case of subcutaneous acne, the ointment should be used for about 2 weeks. During this time, the skin will go through inflammation, and acne will disappear from the deep subcutaneous layers. In addition, a full course will help stabilize the process of fat metabolism in the skin.
Also, to eliminate subcutaneous acne, it is recommended to treat the inflamed areas (each separately) with cotton swabs soaked in the ointment. Then keep the product on the skin for 40 minutes and wash off.
Vishnevsky ointment for internal acne
To eliminate internal pimples, you need to apply the ointment at least twice a day. Thanks to this frequency, the pus will come out of the wounds faster - because the main characteristic of this product is its ability to "pull pus" from the pimple to the surface of the skin. Thus, its effect is similar to the properties of ichthyol ointment, but Vishnevsky has a wider range of influence.
Mask of Vishnevsky ointment for acne
A special mask made from Vishnevsky ointment effectively deals with acne. In cases where there are a lot of subcutaneous pimples and acne on the face, it is recommended to make a gauze mask with slits for the eyes and nose with mouth. The ointment should be applied to this gauze, then put the mask on the face. It should be kept for about 2.5 hours.
Use Vishnevsky's ointment for acne during pregnancy
You can use Vishnevsky ointment to treat acne during pregnancy with your doctor's permission, although in general there is no information that the drug has had a negative effect on expectant mothers or their babies.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated to use the ointment in case of increased sensitivity of the skin.
Side effects Vishnevsky's ointment for acne
The use of the drug may cause the following side effects:
- If the patient has an intolerance to any element of the ointment, itching may begin - in this case, the use of the drug should be stopped immediately;
- Castor oil can cause redness and swelling because it causes blood to rush to the surface of the skin.
Before starting treatment, it is recommended to perform a test to check yourself for an allergic reaction. To do this, apply a small amount of ointment to the skin of your back and wait until it starts to work.
