Alerana

The active substance of the Alerana spray is minoxidil 5%. Since blood circulation in the follicle area becomes better, this has a positive effect on the growth of healthy hair.

Thanks to minoxidil, the process of androgen action on hair follicles changes. When using the spray, the process of hair loss may temporarily intensify due to the transition from the telogen stage (rest) to the anagen stage (active growth). How to use Kerastase: apply (10 presses) to the scalp and hair roots. Hair should be dry. Rub the product into the skin with massage movements so that the nutritional components penetrate as deeply as possible. There is no need to rinse the spray.

Kerium is used as follows: an applicator is installed (this depends on the length of the hair), after which the substance is applied to the hair (12 presses) - this should be done once a day. To obtain the desired effect, the drug should be used at least three times a week. It should be applied to clean, slightly towel-dried hair. The entire course lasts for 3 months.

Using Hair Loss Sprays During Pregnancy

There is no evidence to suggest that the use of hair loss sprays should be avoided during pregnancy.

Contraindications for use

Anti-hair loss sprays are not allowed to be used in the following cases:

• Hypersensitivity to minoxidil and other components of the spray is observed;
• Minors;
• For dermatoses on the head or damage to the integrity of skin tissue.

Also, the drug is not recommended for use by people over 65 years of age.

Side effects

Hair loss sprays may cause the following side effects:

Overdose

The hair loss spray Generolon (or its analogue Alerana) can lead to serious side effects if accidentally taken orally: blood pressure decreases, fluid retention begins, and tachycardia occurs.

Treat these symptoms under the supervision of a doctor. To get rid of fluid retention, the doctor may prescribe diuretics; tachycardia is treated with beta-blockers. And to cope with hypotension, a 0.9% sodium chloride solution is administered intravenously. But sympathomimetic drugs (such as epinephrine or norepinephrine) are not prescribed, since they cause excessive cardiac stimulation.

Interactions with other drugs

When using Generolon and Alerana, it is theoretically possible to increase orthostatic hypotension in patients. It is also possible to slightly increase the percentage of minoxidil in the blood of people suffering from arterial hypertension.

It is also known that minoxidil applied externally can interact with other drugs for external use. When the spray is used simultaneously with a cream containing betamethasone (0.05%), the systemic absorption of minoxidil decreases. If it is used simultaneously with a cream containing tretinoin (0.05%), the absorption rates of the substance, on the contrary, increase.

When applied to the skin, Minoxidil hair loss spray interacts with drugs such as dithranol or tretinoin, which may increase the absorption of the substance minoxidil.

Storage conditions

Hair loss sprays should be kept in a dry, sun-protected place that is inaccessible to small children. The air temperature should not be higher than 25°C.
