Pregnant should avoid places in which they could encounter a snake, because in this case, the danger is not only threatened by the mother, but also by the child. In addition, the treatment of pregnant women is much more difficult, many means can not be used.
Treatment of the a viper bite in pregnancy
Consider the procedure for the snake bite, especially if the victim is a pregnant woman.
- It is necessary as soon as possible to suck the poison so that it does not penetrate deep into the tissues and does not cause an even greater reaction, do not become a cause of poisoning. Always remember that the danger is threatening at once to two lives, so you need to act as quickly as possible. Sucking off the poison can be effective for 2-3 minutes, after which the poison is already absorbed into the body, and has a systemic toxic effect.
- With the development of edema, allergic reaction, you can use an antiallergic agent, in particular, suprastin. It must be resorbed, putting it under the tongue. Swallow, pre-mixed with saliva. Do not swallow the pill. When swallowing with saliva, the mucous membranes become irritated, which stimulates the production of immunoglobulin A, which provides protection of the mucous membranes, removes the inflammatory process. When swallowed, the tablet penetrates the systemic bloodstream, affects the entire body, and also penetrates transplacental. However, if there is a possibility not to give a pill, it is better not to do this, but to wait for the arrival of an ambulance.
- In no case should you apply a tourniquet, as the tissues are squeezed, blood flow and metabolic processes are disturbed, which leads to further necrosis of the tissues. Also, you can not cauterize the bite site, as this will cause the poison in the wound to be baked, and it is almost impossible to remove it later.
Cutting the wound, bleeding with poison is also not recommended, because you can carry the infection, which is fraught with a serious infectious process, which in pregnancy is particularly fast. This is explained by the fact that in pregnant women the immunity is reduced, the microflora is broken, as a result of which the infection easily penetrates the body, quickly joins the biocenosis, provokes the development of the disease.
The infection also spreads quite quickly due to the increased volume of crocia, accelerated blood flow. An additional risk arises in connection with the possibility of intrauterine infection of the child (fetus). The situation becomes complicated by the fact that it is impossible to take antibiotics. There are only a few antibiotics that can be used during pregnancy.
- We need to call an ambulance as soon as possible. And before her arrival, if possible, do not give the victim any medicines. It is necessary to give as much water as possible, to ensure immobility.
- Primary care should be provided directly in a medical facility, under the supervision of a doctor, since the risks are quite high.
First aid with a viper bite in the forest
The algorithm of first aid is standard: first you need to suck the poison, then, if necessary, give a tablet of suprastin (or another antihistamine). Immediately need to call an ambulance. If there is a possibility to prick the serum, it is necessarily introduced (antitoxic serum Antigadyuka). Then you should take a horizontal position, if possible, to ensure immobility to the affected area of the body. First aid should be given as quickly as possible, since the poison is absorbed very quickly, and can cause significant disturbances. It is effective to provide first aid during the first 10-15 minutes after the bite. Sucking off the poison is effective if it starts in the first 3-4 minutes after the bite.
Obligatory drinking is compulsory. It is better to drink ordinary clean water, but sweet water, sweet tea, especially if the victim feels chills, dizziness. Alcohol is not used in any case, alcoholic tinctures for external use are also contraindicated. To cauterize a wound it is impossible.
