Masks for improving complexion do not lose their relevance. Many women are concerned about the condition of their facial skin, regardless of age. Everyone wants to look beautiful.

But even if there are no obvious flaws, pimples or acne on the face, the skin color itself can reveal fatigue and a lack of vitamins. There are many skin care products. An important place among them belongs to all kinds of masks that help improve the complexion. Like other cosmetics, masks for improving facial skin can be factory-made or homemade. The latter are especially popular, both because of the savings and because when preparing such masks, it is possible to independently control the proportions of raw materials. Masks that are made with your own hands can be conditionally divided into single-component and multi-component. They can be prepared from fruits, vegetables, oils. Various pharmaceuticals can be added to the composition of such masks to improve the complexion.

It is important to remember that masks are the final stages of skin care. Therefore, they are always applied to already cleansed skin.

Recipes for masks to improve complexion

Most often, recipes for making homemade masks to improve complexion are quite simple and straightforward.

Watermelon mask

To use, you need a fresh ripe watermelon. Its pulp can be mashed or simply cut into thin strips, since when mashed, the pulp can give off a lot of juice and be too dry. Apply to pre-cleaned and dry skin of the face for 15-20 minutes. Then carefully wash off the mask with warm water. It is recommended to use masks every other day for 20-25 days. In addition to watermelon, you can also use melon. This mask makes the skin look healthier.

Cucumber mask

This mask will help lighten your complexion and even out its tone.

To do this, crush the cucumber pulp and apply it to previously cleansed skin of the face. You can put thin slices of cucumber on the eyelids. Keep the mask on for 15-20 minutes and then wash it off with warm water.

Parsley mask

Fresh parsley should be chopped and a little vegetable oil should be added. The resulting mixture is applied to the face for 20 minutes, then washed off.

Coffee mask

Leave the coffee grounds after brewing coffee until the evening, covering them with polyethylene or a saucer so that they do not dry out, and in the evening apply them to the skin of the face for 15 minutes, then wash off with warm water. This improves the tone of the skin, evens out the color, gives smoothness and uniformity, and, contrary to existing fears, does not tone the body or disturb sleep.

After using this mask, be sure to apply a nourishing cream to your face.

Apricot mask

Take the pulp of a peach or apricot and mash it. Then add an equal amount of oatmeal. Mix everything until a homogeneous mass is obtained. Apply the mask generously to the skin of the face. Leave it on for 15 minutes and wash it off.

If your skin is dry, you can add a little olive oil to the mixture.

There are also masks with a more complex composition.

Beer mask

This mask uses light beer, as well as potato flour, carrots and egg yolk.

Add one yolk and a tablespoon of raw carrot puree (or just carrots grated through a fine grater) and potato flour to about 50 ml of beer. Bring the resulting mixture to homogeneity. Then apply to the face for 20 minutes. It is important to note that after the time has elapsed, the beer mask is washed off with warm beer, and only then the face is washed with water.

Egg mask

Beat one egg, add a tablespoon of lemon juice and the same amount of sour cream, apply the resulting mixture to the face for 20 minutes, and then rinse with warm water.

In this recipe, you can use any other citrus juice instead of lemon juice.

Oatmeal and flax mask

Pour boiling water over one teaspoon of flaxseed and leave until the liquid has cooled completely. Grind oatmeal and pour flaxseed infusion over it. Apply the resulting mushy mass to your face for 15-20 minutes, then rinse with warm water.

This mask has a pronounced whitening effect.

Aspirin mask

One of the most popular masks is a mask made from regular aspirin with honey added. Other ingredients are possible, but the basis is still honey and aspirin.

To prepare this mask, take 4 aspirin tablets, drop a little water on them so that they soften and swell a little. Then crush the tablets. Add one teaspoon of water and half a teaspoon of honey to the resulting mass. The honey should be liquid. Apply the resulting mixture to the face for 10 minutes and then wash off with warm water.

This mask has a peculiarity - it can cause a burning sensation on the face. If such symptoms occur, the mask should be washed off immediately. Even if the skin accepts the aspirin mask well, it is not recommended to use it more than once a week.

Reviews of masks to improve complexion

With such a huge variety of recipes that allow you to independently prepare masks at home to improve your complexion, it is difficult to make a choice. Nothing characterizes a particular find as much as the opinion of those who have already tried it on themselves. So today we can find different opinions about all sorts of recipes for preparing homemade masks to improve your complexion.

The most flattering reviews can be found about masks made of aspirin, as well as about beer masks, egg masks and oatmeal and flaxseed masks. But while listening to the opinions of others, you also need to decide for yourself what the desired result is. Masks such as beer and coffee masks can give the skin a darker golden hue, which is not desirable if there are age spots on the face. For such skin, an oatmeal and flaxseed mask is better suited, since it is the leader among those who wanted to get rid of age spots, lighten freckles or smooth out bright marks after acne.

There are rather scant reviews about masks made from mashed fruits and vegetables, including watermelon and cucumber masks.

There are very good reviews about masks that contain sour cream or yogurt, but only those who do not have problems with oily skin speak well of them.

In any case, it is important to understand that there are many individual characteristics of both the skin and the body. In each individual case, the effect can be unique. And if the choice is made correctly, then masks for improving complexion will pleasantly surprise you with their results.
