In order to always look young and attractive, many girls and women have to resort to various expensive salon procedures. However, some facial skin problems can be solved with the help of home cosmetics and traditional medicine. One of such miraculous procedures is a yeast face mask - a very popular and, most importantly, effective remedy for skin restoration and rejuvenation.

This mask will remove traces of stress from your face, saturate your skin with useful substances, and restore its fresh color and structure. And another important point: the mask works quickly, and the result lasts for a long time.

Benefits of yeast mask for skin

As a rule, baker's yeast is used for masks - this is wet yeast containing live cultures of microorganisms. Yeast has long been considered healthy: it has a protein base, and the amount of proteins in the product is at least 60%. Yeast proteins are extremely easily accepted by the human body, and their benefits are in no way inferior to proteins of animal origin.

More than 1/10 of the yeast composition belongs to amino acids, including essential ones. In addition, they contain quite a lot of minerals and vitamins. These are potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron salts, as well as vitamins B, H, P, folic acid, and fat-like organic substances.

The benefits of a yeast mask for the skin are undeniable: yeast is a biologically active substance in some way, which effectively eliminates many dermatological problems, such as acne, boils, dermatitis. Yeast helps to heal superficial wounds or burns faster, cleanses pores, refreshes and rejuvenates the skin, and increases local immunity.

Yeast Face Mask Recipes

There are many known recipes for yeast masks. They all have different effects on different skin types. Such masks will bring undeniable benefits to your skin, it is only important to correctly identify the problem that you want to get rid of with a face mask.

  1. Rejuvenating yeast face mask – will help refresh and restore elasticity to the skin on the face. How to prepare the mask: take 50 g of fresh yeast, dilute with warm water and add a little dark flour to get a mass like thick sour cream. Cover the bowl with the mass with a towel and put it in a dark and warm place for 24 hours. After 24 hours, we will get a starter, which will become our mask. The starter should be applied to the face and neck area in sufficient quantity for 20 minutes. Then wash off the mask, after which blot the skin with a towel and use your favorite nourishing cream. The mask can be repeated up to 2 times a week. For noticeable and lasting rejuvenation, it is recommended to carry out about 20 such procedures.
  1. Yeast mask for cleansing – great for problem skin, eliminates acne and rashes. Take 3% hydrogen peroxide and add 2 teaspoons of fresh yeast until you get a thick, sour cream-like mass. Immediately distribute the resulting mixture over the face, paying attention to problem areas. You can lightly massage the skin when applying the mask. Leave it on for 20 minutes. Then wash your face and pat dry with a clean towel. It is recommended to use cooled green tea or chamomile infusion for washing. After the procedure, apply a nourishing cream.
  2. Nourishing mask for dry skin: take ½ tbsp. natural honey, 1 tbsp. flour and mix with 20 g of yeast. Dilute the mixture with warm milk and spread on the skin of the face, hold for about 20 minutes, then wash with clean running water.
  3. Nourishing mask for normal skin: dilute 30 g of yeast in 2 tbsp of warm milk. Spread the mixture over the face and leave, wash off after 15-20 minutes.
  4. Nourishing mask for oily skin: take 20 g of yeast and add fresh kefir or yogurt until it reaches the consistency of sour cream. Spread on skin, wash off after 20 minutes.
  5. Lightening mask: take 20 g of yeast and add 1 tbsp. of lemon juice (or other sour juice). Place the bowl with the mask in a water bath for 2 minutes, after which the mask can be used. After 20 minutes of application, wash off the mask, blot your face with a towel and use cosmetic cream.

If you have dry skin on your face, you can add a few drops of oil to the mask – olive, sesame or any other.

If the skin is oily, acids are added to the mask: lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, grapes.

For normal skin, the mask can be additionally fortified with vitamins by adding a little non-acidic vegetable juice: carrot, pumpkin, watermelon, etc.

You cannot wash off the mask with hot water - this will only create additional stress for the skin. After using the mask, you should wash your face with cool water or at room temperature.

If you have freckles or age spots on your face, then the mask must include one of the following ingredients: hydrogen peroxide, cucumber juice or sour juice (berry or fruit).

A rejuvenating yeast face mask can contain egg white, and regular dark flour (rye) can be replaced with rice, oatmeal or buckwheat.

Reviews of Yeast Face Mask

It is rare to find negative reviews about yeast face masks. However, some users do not know some of the subtleties of using masks that need to be remembered:

  • yeast masks should be applied only to pre-cleansed skin;
  • Most yeast masks are prepared immediately before use; you cannot prepare the mask in advance and store it until the next use;
  • For yeast masks, only fresh "wet" yeast is used; dry or spoiled yeast cannot be used;
  • After applying the mask, you need to relax and lie down, trying not to strain the skin of your face;
  • sometimes a yeast mask can cause redness of the face: this may be due to the long retention of the mask on the face, overly sensitive skin, and also the peeling effect of the mask. For example, a peroxide-based cleansing mask can cause short-term redness, which disappears within a few hours after the procedure;
  • Remember that the yeast mask also has contraindications: first of all, this is intolerance to yeast or its smell, as well as fungal skin diseases;
  • If after applying the mask you feel any discomfort (burning, itching), it is advisable to stop the procedure ahead of time.

Among the many masks, try to choose those that your skin comfortably accepts. If you doubt the sensitivity of your skin to the yeast mask, it is recommended to first try a little of the mask mixture on the inside of your wrist. If there is no reaction within 20 minutes, you can apply the mask to the face area.

A yeast face mask is a standard cosmetic procedure for those who have at least once experienced its effect on themselves. For many women, such a mask has become not just a cosmetic experiment, but a necessity and an integral part of high-quality facial skin care.
