When alopecia is severe, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals alone are not enough to eliminate it. Special injections against hair loss are used for treatment. Injections can be done intravenously/intramuscularly with vitamins and body-strengthening drugs. Injections directly into the scalp are also possible, that is, mesotherapy. This method is effective for intense baldness in women, dandruff, and early graying.
Indications for the procedure
Indications for mesotherapy:
- Pathological hair loss.
- Androgenic alopecia.
- Dryness and increased hair fragility.
- Skin itching without rashes and seborrhea.
- Split ends and split ends.
- Normalization of sebum secretion.
Injections against hair loss do not eliminate external factors that caused the problem, but fight it locally. Mesotherapy effectively cleanses the scalp and saturates the bulbs with nutrients.
Subcutaneous injections allow for the rapid delivery of essential micronutrients to the follicles, thereby stimulating the growth of new hair structures. Special vitamin cocktails or individual substances in ampoules are used for the procedure. In cases of severe baldness, vitamins of group B, A, C, E, E, as well as various minerals (iron, calcium, magnesium, zinc) are used.
Preparation
The procedure is performed by a cosmetologist or trichologist. Before the procedure, it is necessary to undergo special preparation:
- First of all, stop using styling products (hairspray, mousse, gel) 2-3 days before the session.
- You should limit the use of painkillers and other medications, as they can provoke severe bleeding.
- You also need to wash your hair on the day of the procedure and 3 days after it, otherwise the effect of the treatment will be minimal.
Technique shots for female hair loss.
Meso injections are performed using micro papule technology. That is, any point on the top of the head is taken as a basis and injections are made from it in radial rays at a distance of 10-15 mm. Several injections are also made in the neck, since the points of activation of curl growth are located there.
Multicomponent preparations are used for injections. One injection may contain from 2 to 5 substances, which are selected by the doctor, individually for each patient. The following preparations are most often used to treat female baldness:
- B vitamins – normalize metabolic processes at the cellular level, promote the formation of hair pigment, and improve the structure of hair curls.
- Amino acids – promote the formation of keratin fibers, that is, they act as building material for healthy strands.
- Coenzyme Q10 – stimulates hair follicles, increases their strength. Enhances microcirculation, rejuvenates cells.
- Hyaluronic acid – activates metabolic processes and growth, provides tissues with complete nutrition.
- Minerals (zinc, copper peptide) – suppress enzymes that cause degenerative changes in hair shafts and contribute to the development of male-pattern alopecia.
- Growth factors are special ingredients that improve blood circulation, strengthen hair roots and follicles.
The composition for mesotherapy injections is selected based on the clinical picture. The doctor evaluates the general condition of the hair, the type of alopecia and its stage. Each session, 3-5 mm of solution is injected under the skin.
There are ready-made meso cocktails from professional brands:
- XL Hair from Aesthetic Dermal is a vitamin preparation that stimulates blood circulation and activates metabolic processes at the cellular level.
- F-Hair by Fusion Mesotherapy – suppresses androgens, contains B vitamins, plant extracts and minerals.
- Mesoline from MD Skin Solutions – contains growth factors and hyaluronic acid, coenzyme Q10, a complex of minerals.
In addition to the above, there are many other ampoule products for mesotherapy: Keraktiv, Trinamid, Dermo B Complex, Embryoblast and others. The products are expensive, but their effectiveness fully justifies the price.
Consequences after the procedure
Immediately after the injection, an inflammatory reaction begins at the injection site. The vessels narrow and expand. Active components pass through the capillaries, filling the intercellular space. Fibrin, leukocytes, erythrocytes and other substances accumulate in the tissues. This promotes the release of growth factors, moisturizing the scalp and normalizing physiological processes.
The applied preparations act directly on problem areas, delivering useful substances to the follicles. The effect of mesotherapy appears quite quickly: the hair structure begins to recover, the growth phases and fat formation processes are normalized. Immediately after the injections, droplets form on the skin, that is, excess nutrients. They are not wiped off, since they will gradually be absorbed into the follicles.
But despite all the beneficial properties of mesotherapy, it is necessary to understand that it is powerless if alopecia is severe. Injections against hair loss are not effective if connective tissue has already formed in place of the hair follicles. In this case, injection therapy is used as a preparatory stage for hair transplantation.
