The game is the process of learning, learning, fixing what the child has learned. Playing, children learn the world around them. The game includes everything that contributes to the development of the child's physical abilities, senses, thinking, and reason. So the game, no doubt, should be fun, exciting (otherwise the child will stop playing). But, despite the fact that for a child everything you do (even when you swaddle or disguise it) is a game, in fact you are doing a very important thing - you are teaching it even when you are playing with it. Toys are for him the same valuable teaching aid, like real school textbooks. Therefore it is very important to spend with the child such games that are most suitable for him in terms of development level.

Like older children, babies like to play different games - depending on the mood. Playing with him, consider the speed of his reaction - it is much slower than yours. For example, you said something to him, waited for the response only a few seconds and started a new action or say something else. Without waiting for an answer, you deprived the child of the opportunity to give it. Therefore, never hurry, otherwise his "answer" will never work. If you held out a toy for the child to take it, but did not wait for it and put it in the child's hand - you prevented the child from showing itself. Do not hurry! Give him time to take the toy himself. If you, passing the crib of the child, smiled at him or waved, do not hurry to turn away. After all, if you turn away, he will smile (or not) your back and will not be able to participate in this game.

Choosing this or that game (or toy), you must consider the inclinations of your child. A few steps ahead, you can give an example: for one five-six-month-old child throwing it up is the height of happiness and pleasure, and when you, tired, put it into the crib, he pulls the pens with a grimace: "More!" , and another karapuz of the same age with full of fear of the eyes will cling hands to your clothes and from fear can even say the first word. But not "mother", and not "dad", but "no!".

If your child does not like loud sounds, do not give him loudly squeaking rubber toys (or cover the hole with a band-aid) and loud rattling rattles.

By two or three months, most children play with great pleasure when they are naked. The fact is that during this period the child learns new movements for him: coups from the back to the stomach, etc., and clothing fetters him.

However, you must remember that a child during such games should not be in danger of falling. Therefore, the ideal place to play at this age is a blanket spread out on the floor (if there are no drafts), and the middle of the sofa or bed. But if the child lies on the floor - let him toss, how much he wants. You can even leave him alone for a few minutes. But with the sofa is more complicated. If you need to go away, and do not want to put the baby in the crib, roll up the roller from another blanket and put it so that the child, even if he learned to turn over, could not "climb over" him.

As for toys, at this age the best toy for your child is you. Your body is an ideal gymnastic device that helps the child do something that he himself would never have done. Your voice and face lead the child into rapture, it fascinates you; all that you do, all the things that you use, lead him to admiration. Your love, your attention, your help is the best game for him.

But gradually the child wants to learn as much as possible about the things around him. For the game, he already needs certain items. Toys for this age are made so that they are safe, bright, different in shape and weight. After the child has thoroughly examined the toy, he is ready to start a new one. Therefore, it is necessary to diversify his games, alternating toys with household items (after all the child is more interested not in the process of the game, but in the opportunity to take a new object in his hand, to examine, to take in his mouth), especially if he showed interest in some subject. And it does not matter what is meant for what you gave him. After all, he still can not use it for his intended purpose. For him, the main thing is color, shape, convenience of capture. The main thing is that this object was not dangerous for the child. After all, if what you gave him will be very fragile, then it can break down, and a child can injure himself with a sharp fragment. The subject should not be very small, as the child necessarily examines it "to the taste", and therefore, can swallow or choke it.
