Constipation during pregnancy - advice to future mothers

Pregnant women face many difficulties, among them - difficulties of defecation (constipation). Constipation worries a large number of women during pregnancy and after childbirth.
In pregnancy, as the fetus grows, the enlarged uterus compresses the intestine. Violated venous outflow, there is venous stasis of small pelvic vessels. The veins of the rectum expand and develop hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids cause constipation.
In the human body, substances that promote stimulation of the contractions of the intestine are produced. Musculature of the intestine during pregnancy is not sufficiently receptive to such stimulants. If the intestinal motility during pregnancy were excessively active, these actions would stimulate the contractile activity of the uterus. The contractions of the uterus during pregnancy threaten the interruption of pregnancy. This is a positive side of the defensive reaction, negative - the appearance of constipation.
Also constipation causes hormonal failures that appear in pregnant women. Pregnant women develop hormone progesterone, which slows down the process of digestion.
During pregnancy, women are often subjected to stress, they are tormented by uncaused fears. Constipation in pregnant women often causes stressful situations. After childbirth, constipation worries women much less often - the emotional state of women noticeably improves.
Constipation is the absence of defecation for three days or more. Constipation in pregnant women is accompanied by pain in the abdomen, a feeling of incomplete evacuation of the intestine.
With constipation in pregnant women it is better to consult a dietician who will prescribe a diet. A pregnant woman should consume large amounts of fiber. Fiber is not digested, it increases the volume of stool and promotes normal defecation. In the diet of the pregnant must necessarily be fresh vegetables and fruits, bread, sour-milk products, kvass, soup.
Pregnant women do not want to eat chocolate, black coffee, tea in large quantities, cocoa, or eating dry foods.
With constipation in pregnant women well tincture of prunes helps. One hundred grams of prunes you need to pour two cups of boiling water, cover and insist for about ten to twelve hours. Tincture of prunes should be drunk before eating. Also a good remedy for constipation is the use of cold water with a spoon of honey added to it on an empty stomach.
When pregnancy is contraindicated, various methods of dealing with constipation - Novocain electrophoresis, inductothermy, electrostimulation, diadynamic currents, procedure with the use of sinusoidal modulated currents. These methods are not used because of the high risk of stimulation of uterine contractions, as well as due to adverse effects on the fetus.
Taking laxatives may cause an abortion. It is dangerous to take not only potent drugs, but also weak ones, such as hay leaves, rhubarb, buckthorn bark. Such drugs as bisacodyl and caffeol cause cramping in the abdomen and diarrhea. Reception of laxatives is undesirable, with constipation the best way out is by taking fiber.
