We are all human beings and all have shortcomings. But in adolescence, these shortcomings are seen under a huge magnifying glass. The teenager is inclined to play down (or not see) his dignity, but the disadvantages of hyperbolizing. Hence the global self-doubt. How does a teenager become self-confident? There are a few simple but effective techniques.
Reception number 1. Find a talent in yourself!
Make a list of all the talents you have, even the smallest. May be. Are you having a good negotiation? Maybe you manage to reconcile the most notorious fighters among themselves? Or maybe you are the best at solving physics problems? Psychologists believe that focusing on their own merits helps to distract a teenager from those character traits that he considers to be flawed.
Talents are not necessarily specific skills, it can be the approach or attitude you advocate all your life, the occupation that you particularly love. Do you always remain calm, focused and collected, even in a critical situation? Or maybe you can see the unexpected side of things? These are also talents, and they distinguish you from other people.
Reception number 2. Identify your favorite activities
Running, drawing charts and tables, modeling airplanes, martial arts - any of these activities can be your favorite. And when you do what you like best, you will necessarily be the best at it. This will raise self-confidence and feel happy. You will no longer have time to worry about your shortcomings - you are busy with business.
Reception number 3. Choose a role model
It can be someone close to you, for example, your own father, or someone famous. Think about those qualities that are worthy of your imitation, whether physical, emotional, moral or spiritual qualities. Make sure that you also have such characteristics. And work hard to take the best from your idol, and then surpass him. Bad is the soldier who does not dream of becoming a general ...
Reception number 4. Focus on others
Try not to get hung up on what others think of you. Instead, pay more attention to what they think about themselves, and try to help them become more happy and confident.
Reception number 5. Surely accept compliments
When you are told compliments, do not roll your eyes and do not say, "Oh, no, you, I'm not at all like that!" Just smile and say thank you. "The smile always has people to itself, and you will feel more confident.
Reception number 4. Observe eye contact when speaking
Uncertain people have eyes running around. The confident look directly into the eyes, this gives the interlocutor a sense of trust and strength coming from you. Speak clearly, do not mumble - speech is also a very important sign of self-confident personality. As you communicate, your fear will pass away (and fear irritates others). Know that people will always evaluate you, and usually they can be wrong, so why waste time and try to constantly impress them?
Reception number 5. Take care of yourself
Eat a healthy diet and actively engage in sports. Do not abuse night gatherings, smoking and alcohol, do not overload your body, and do not ignore what it needs. All in the world moisturizing creams, creams and conditioners will not bring you closer to who you want to be. It's just a make-up, an image that can change all the time. Self-confidence comes from within. Take the time to think about your life and make emotional conclusions. In order to be sure, you should appreciate yourself and understand that your well-being is very important.
Reception number 6. Be able to stand up for yourself
If people sometimes try to humiliate you (and not in a comic form), let them immediately understand that their opinion of you can not shake your opinion of yourself. It will be difficult to do. But as soon as you stand for yourself several times, your self-confidence will become stronger, and you will become more skilled in this.
Reception number 7. Appreciate your personality
If you know for sure, you have something special, do not hide it! People really appreciate originality. You can passionately want to become taller or lower, slim, strong. But you have to understand that by becoming like everyone else, you can stop being what you are. The answer to this question is very easy: "You are a unique person who is able to grow and learn."
Reception number 8. Improve posture
A good posture, extended shoulders and a straight backbone can really allow you to feel more confident. Do not slouch or lower your shoulders. Make sure that your back is straight, shoulders, too, and the chest is slightly bulging (but at the same time the position of the body remains free, otherwise you will seem aggressive and alarmed). Good posture is also achieved by deep breathing, which helps to feel more relaxed and free.
Using these tips, do something. If good words are left on paper, they will be just good words. Getting self-confidence is a big job for a teenager. But you will surely cope with it if you set such a goal.
