Tea with ginger is especially popular. This tea warms up perfectly and keeps the body warm, and in eastern countries, tea with ginger is equated with aphrodisiacs.

Ginger Tea Recipes

Ginger tea can be consumed throughout the day, but no more than 5 cups per day. The ideal option is a cup of ginger tea a quarter of an hour before a meal. It is with this regime that this tasty drink will bring maximum benefit to the body.

How to brew tea with ginger?

The easiest way to make ginger tea:

  • select a stick of ginger and peel it;
  • grate;
  • add lemon juice and pour in hot water;
  • cover with a lid and leave for about 15 minutes;
  • add a little honey before serving.

There are many other ways to brew tea with ginger. Let's look at them below.

Green tea with ginger

One of the important advantages of green tea with ginger is its soft and delicate taste and aroma. For lovers of green tea, ginger has become a real find and a wonderful addition to their favorite drink. To prepare this tea, we will need:

0.5 l of water;

  • 1 tablespoon green tea;
  • fresh ginger root;
  • honey.

Peel a small stick of ginger and slice it thinly. We need about 3 or 4 circles of root for brewing. Next, brew green tea, add the circles of root to the water and leave for 10 minutes. Filter the tea and pour into cups. You can add honey to taste.

Black tea with ginger

Based on the previous recipe, you can also brew black tea. However, there is another recipe for black tea with ginger, for which we need:

  • currant leaves (dried or fresh);
  • black tea leaves;
  • ginger root.

So, brew black tea as usual. You can brew it stronger or weaker, depending on your taste. After 5 minutes, filter the tea and pour it into a thermos, adding a few slices of ginger root and currant leaves. Let it brew for 20 minutes. Enjoy!

Tea with ginger and lemon

Cut the ginger root into thin slices, pour in drinking water and bring to a boil over low heat. Cook for 15 minutes. Then turn off the heat and cool the drink. Just before drinking, add lemon juice and a little honey to taste. You can also add other ingredients to this tea to your taste: orange juice, lime, pineapple pieces or kumquat.

Tea with ginger and honey can be prepared in different ways:

  • based on green or black tea;
  • based on candied fruit or lemon or orange zest;
  • simply based on finely chopped ginger.

The selected ingredients are poured with hot water to taste, infused for 20 minutes, and filtered. Then, natural honey can be added to the slightly cooled drink, but some lovers prefer to drink honey, as they say, "on the side", washed down with warm tea.

Tea with ginger and cinnamon

What could be better on a frosty winter evening than a warming and relaxing tea with ginger and cinnamon? This tea will definitely lift your spirits and dispel the winter blues.

For one liter of water we will need about a tablespoon of crushed root, black tea leaves to taste, half a cinnamon stick, 3-4 buds of dry cloves. Pour hot water over everything and cook on low heat for 2-3 minutes. Let it cool, filter and pour into cups. If desired, you can add a little honey.

Ginger Root Tea

If your goal is to lose weight, you can use the following recipe for ginger root tea: you need to cut the root into thin circles, place it in a thermos, pour hot water, and leave it for about half an hour. This infusion should be drunk throughout the day in small sips. The tea is prepared based on the following proportions: 2 tbsp. chopped or grated root per 1000 ml of water.

Tea with ginger and garlic

Tea with ginger and garlic can be recommended to those who want to get rid of a large amount of excess weight. From the name it is clear that the main components of the drink are ginger root and garlic, which should be taken in equal parts.

For one part of ginger-garlic mixture, take 20 parts of hot water. Pour the ingredients into a thermos and leave for a quarter of an hour, then filter and drink within 24 hours.

Tea with ginger and mint

Tea with ginger and mint is excellent for refreshing and soothing. To prepare this tea we will need:

  • ginger root;
  • dried or fresh mint leaves;
  • lemon and a little honey.

Peel the root and cut into thin circles, then into strips. Pour hot water over it and keep on low heat for 15 minutes. Remove from heat, add a few mint leaves, and let it brew. When serving, add half a lemon wedge to the tea. You can add honey.

Tea with sea buckthorn and ginger

Ginger drink with sea buckthorn is a great vitamin antioxidant. With the help of such tea, you can cure inflammatory diseases. In addition, it is simply delicious and incredibly healthy.

To make sea buckthorn and ginger tea, first make regular ginger tea. While the tea is brewing, wash fresh sea buckthorn berries. Mash half of them into a puree. Tea with orange and ginger

Tea with orange and ginger is not only tasty and healthy: this drink can significantly strengthen the immune system.

Drink components:

  • ginger 20 g;
  • hot water 0.5 l;
  • orange - to taste, zest and juice.

Cut the ginger root into small cubes and pour hot water over it. Boil for about 10-15 minutes. Add orange zest, let it brew for 20 minutes. Filter. Before use, add orange juice to taste.

Tea with milk and ginger

Tea with milk and ginger is very popular in Tibet: it is consumed by both children and adults as a morning meal and also to treat colds.

Tea ingredients:

  • 500 ml milk;
  • 500 ml of water;
  • crushed cardamom seeds and cloves (10 each);
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger root;
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg;
  • 2 teaspoons each of black and green tea leaves.

Put the water on the fire, add cardamom and clove powder, as well as green tea leaves, bring to a boil and boil for a minute. Add milk and ginger, black tea leaves. After boiling, add nutmeg. After 2 minutes, remove from the fire. Infuse for about five minutes, filter.

It is good to drink this milk drink in the morning instead of breakfast, without washing it down or eating anything.

Tea with cloves and ginger

Tea with cloves and ginger is a real drink of the East. To prepare it, we will need:

  • green tea – 1 tsp;
  • ginger root;
  • ground cinnamon;
  • cardamom seeds;
  • dried cloves;
  • lemon wedges;
  • honey.

Brew green tea (5 minutes). Grind about 3 cm of ginger root, add cinnamon on the tip of a knife, 1-2 cloves and cardamom (from 2 boxes).

All these are ingredients for a cup of water (200 ml).

Pour the prepared spices with green tea and bring to a boil, cook for a few minutes. Cool. Add honey and lemon juice to taste. You can also put a slice of lemon in the tea. Let it brew for a while and drink.

Tea with ginger and pepper

Ginger tea with pepper is useful for colds and to support the body during flu epidemics.

It is necessary to prepare equal amounts of ginger root, red pepper and turmeric powder. Boil the ingredients for 2 minutes in 200 ml of milk. Drink the warm drink three times a day with honey and butter.

Tea with cardamom and ginger

To make tea with cardamom and ginger, you need:

  • finely chop or grind 60 g of mint leaves;
  • add finely chopped ginger;
  • add crushed cardamom seeds (1-2 pods);
  • pour hot water over the ingredients;
  • leave for half an hour, filter;
  • add 50 ml of lemon juice and the same amount of orange juice.

Tea with cardamom and ginger is drunk cool: it perfectly quenches thirst and alleviates the body's condition during hot periods.

Tea with ginger and apple

Let's make tea with ginger and apple. Ingredients for 2 cups:

  • 0.5 l of hot water;
  • a stick of ginger root (about 1.5*1 cm);
  • 2 lemon slices;
  • 1 lime slice;
  • a quarter of an apple (preferably unsweetened);
  • half a cinnamon stick;
  • some honey.

Cut the lemon and lime into strips, the ginger root into thin slices, and the apple into small cubes. Place all the ingredients in a teapot, add cinnamon and pour in boiling water. Leave to infuse for 15 minutes.

Filter, pour into cups, add a little honey to taste.

Ginger tea for kids

Many people are interested in the question: from what age can children be offered ginger tea? Experts warn that in children under 2 years old, ginger can provoke headaches, nausea, and gastrointestinal spasms. For this reason, ginger tea is recommended to be given to a child only from the age of three.

Ginger root is rich in natural essential oils, which are excellent for curing viral infections and colds. Steam from boiling water with ginger can be used as inhalation for older children.

In any case, before offering your child ginger tea, it is advisable to consult a doctor so as not to harm the baby. After all, among other things, children often develop an allergy to ginger.

To soften the effect of ginger on the mucous membrane of the child's digestive system, it is recommended to add milk, honey or fruit juices to ginger tea.

Ginger tea is especially useful for children weakened by long illnesses, surgeries, and debilitating infections. Ginger tea will help restore immunity and improve the child's appetite.
