As a rule, such a salad is prepared immediately before serving, but some ingredients should be prepared in advance. We are talking about pre-cooking rice and eggs, which can be prepared several hours in advance. Rice, in this case, should be washed with cold running water in order to get rid of the remaining starch, and the eggs should be finely chopped. After this, both ingredients can be placed in a salad bowl, adding crab sticks. Now it's time to add the corn itself, as well as grated cheese and garlic.

The resulting mixture is thoroughly mixed and generously seasoned with mayonnaise. If necessary, you can add salt and pepper. In some cases, the salad is presented as a layered pie, laying each ingredient on top of the other and layering it with mayonnaise.

The most popular option is a combination with sweet pepper, corn, vegetable oil and beans. You can mix beans and corn in equal proportions, leaving a small amount of liquid in the jar. It will become a kind of sauce, perfectly shading the taste of the future dish. If necessary, you can add oil, sunflower or olive, to this vegetable mixture.

In addition, in addition to pepper, you can add ham or chicken, egg and grated cheese as auxiliary ingredients. Such a dish as a salad of fresh corn is not known to every housewife. However, it is definitely worth taking into service, because it is a truly universal option, suitable for both workdays and holidays. To prepare such a vegetable mixture, you will need red onion, fresh corn and a little basil.

First, you should thoroughly clean the onion and rinse it under cold water to remove excess bitterness. Add cherry tomatoes and basil, chopped in the same way, to the finely chopped onion. After this procedure, you can proceed directly to processing the queen of the fields. First, the grains must be separated from the cobs and placed in a pan with boiling water. Boil the grains for 10 minutes, then strain in a colander and cool. Now they can be added to the preliminary preparation and begin to implement the dressing.

For these purposes, vinegar, pepper, olive or sunflower oil and salt are mixed. Before serving, the salad itself is laid out on a portioned plate, and then generously seasoned with sauce. If necessary, it can be slightly supplemented with a small amount of lemon juice or soy sauce. Thus, the vegetable mixture, which is based on fresh corn, will acquire a slightly oriental hue.

And, what is especially important, such a culinary masterpiece will surely appeal to everyone present!

Rice with corn

One of the simplest and, at the same time, popular dishes is rightfully considered rice with corn. For these purposes, it would be more appropriate to take long-grain rice, which should be pre-boiled. This type of rice cooks quite quickly and, what is especially important, does not boil to the state of puree.

Immediately after this, you can begin preparing the sauce, which is the culmination of the entire dish. For this purpose, finely chop and lightly stew the onion in olive oil, then add carrots and greens. After the vegetables have warmed up well, you can add canned corn to them.

Corn, unlike all other vegetables, should not be fried, but only slightly browned and warmed. As soon as the vegetables reach the desired condition, they can be mixed with rice. This dish can be served as a side dish or an aperitif, hot or cold.

In addition, this dish can be diluted with aromatic herbs. They will give the dish a special piquant taste, inherent only in Eastern cuisine.

Corn and Cucumber Salad

A hearty and light salad of corn and cucumber has confidently held the leading position among domestic gourmets for several years now. And, it should be noted that its preparation takes only up to half an hour!

First, you need to hard-boil a few eggs. Their number depends on how many servings the finished dish will be divided into. While they are boiling, you can start processing the remaining ingredients. Canned corn, previously strained from water, should be dried a little and put into a deep salad bowl.

Next, cucumbers are cut into small squares. Cooled and finely chopped eggs are sent to the same dish. In fact, the salad can be considered ready. However, in order for it to have a more interesting taste, it can be refined a little. In particular, the vegetable mixture goes perfectly with grated cheese, which can be sprinkled on top or mixed with the rest of the ingredients.

Not the least important role should be given to the dressing, which can be traditional mayonnaise or the now popular béchamel sauce.

Salad with beans and corn

The currently popular salad with beans and corn can be prepared in just a few minutes and, thus, please not only yourself, but also your loved ones. When starting to prepare, you need to throw the red beans and corn into a colander - these are the ingredients that will become the key ones in the dish.

After the vegetables have drained, they can be mixed together, and finely chopped cucumber and greens can be added. For these purposes, it is preferable to choose dill, as it does not interrupt, but only complements the taste. Now the vegetable mixture should be thoroughly mixed and seasoned with mayonnaise. However, the preparations do not end there!

The culmination will be small white bread croutons, which will be added to the vegetable mixture immediately before serving. Fans of exotic dishes can serve this dish on lettuce leaves, previously sprinkled with lemon juice. In this way, the salad will acquire a peculiar sourness, which will certainly make an indelible impression on those tasting it.

Corn with mushrooms

A great option for both a snack and a main course can be corn with mushrooms, prepared as a salad. First, the chicken fillet must be thoroughly washed and boiled until fully cooked. After the meat has cooled, it should be finely chopped. Now you can start blanching the onions, mushrooms and carrots, pre-cut into small pieces. After the vegetables are cooked, they need to be cooled and then mixed with the chicken.

At the next stage, you can begin adding canned corn, strained from the liquid in which it is often stored. What is noteworthy is that when buying this product, you should definitely pay attention to the date of its manufacture! Corn produced in the summer is considered the juiciest and sweetest, and therefore, it is necessary to choose it.

As a rule, a vegetable mixture, which includes corn with mushrooms, is served as a cold appetizer, but in some cases the dish undergoes minor metamorphoses.

In particular, such a salad can be made layered, smearing each layer with mayonnaise. It can also be turned into a pie, putting it on a pillow of puff pastry. Vegetable mix served hot, based on the queen of the fields, is especially popular. After all, hot salads are at the peak of popularity today!

Corn Soup

Mexican corn soup is popular far beyond its native country today. It takes a little less than an hour to prepare! However, the result will exceed all expectations!

Canned corn, previously strained from liquid, must be blended, mixed with two glasses of water and boiled over low heat. Milk should also be brought to a boil, and then start preparing the sauce. For this purpose, melt the butter, into which flour is gradually poured. At this stage, it is important to prevent the formation of lumps, which can easily spoil the quality of the soup.

Once the sauce is ready, it can be mixed with milk and corn puree. To give the soup its classic taste, shrimp and salt are added to the dish, and then the whole mixture is brought to a boil.

In order for the dish to acquire the consistency of a pureed soup, it should simmer on low heat for at least another 10 minutes! Before serving, the soup is decorated with greens, as well as crackers or croutons. This recipe, which includes the queen of the fields, will please everyone.

Squid with corn

A combination of squid and corn is considered extremely successful for everyday consumption. They can be served as a salad, which can be prepared in a few minutes. For this purpose, squid rings must be boiled in boiling, slightly salted water for 3 minutes.

The boiled product is finely chopped and, for now, set aside. The next step is to prepare the onion, which is finely chopped and poured with boiling water for several minutes. This procedure allows you to remove excess bitterness and an extremely pungent smell. The onion can be mixed in a salad bowl with squid, adding boiled eggs, canned corn and, if desired, grated cheese. This dish has a high energy value, which means that the feeling of satiety after eating it comes very quickly.

This salad can be eaten by both adults and children! However, this taste is most fully revealed only when chilled.

Tomatoes with corn

The light and sophisticated combination of tomatoes and corn has become quite widespread in cooking. In particular, we are talking about a salad, the origins of which are no longer possible to determine.

The canned corn must be drained of water and poured into the dish in which the vegetable mixture will be prepared. Next, the feta cheese, also drained of liquid in advance, is cut into cubes. The next step is adding cherry tomatoes, which will give the salad a special taste.

Of course, you can use regular tomatoes for this vegetable mix, but in this case the salad will lose its sophistication. Cherry tomatoes give a sweetish-cloying taste that goes almost perfectly with corn.

Now add greens, olives or olives, and cucumbers to taste. After thoroughly mixing all the ingredients together, all that remains is to add olive oil and let the dish sit for a few minutes.

Grilled Corn

A dish like grilled corn is a great option for a light summer picnic. It is a unique alternative to traditional vegetables that have already become classics at such events.

To prevent the corn from drying out during cooking, it must first be soaked in cold water. The maximum time for this procedure is three hours. Then, it is taken out of the water and thoroughly cleaned of silk fibers. It is recommended to leave the green cobs, having previously opened them. While it is being prepared for cooking, it is also recommended to heat up the grill. If it has a temperature sensor, it must be set to 180 degrees.

Initially, the corn on the grill should be positioned so that there is a direct heat source directly underneath it. Thus, it is cooked for no more than 60 seconds, and then moved to a place where there is only indirect heat. Here it will stay for about 15 minutes, until fully cooked. If necessary, the finished dish should be salted and served warm.

Preservation of corn

For the summer period, preserving corn is the most important process! After all, it will help to take a piece of summer into the cold winter. The simplest and, at the same time, useful process is preserving small cobs, which allow you to preserve the valuable substances of the product.

For these purposes, first boil a liter of water with preliminary addition of salt. This will be a kind of marinade, acting as a preservative. Corn, thoroughly washed and peeled, also needs to be pre-boiled over low heat so that it becomes soft.

After this procedure, the vegetable must be taken out of the water and cooled completely. After some time, the cobs can be placed in jars, filled with water and tightly closed. However, the preservation is not finished! The finished jars are placed in a bowl of water and sterilized for an hour. Only after this canning can be considered complete, and the jars must be placed in specially prepared places for this.

This recipe is rightfully considered one of the simplest, but far from the only one! Corn can also be preserved in the form of grains, but this process will take much more time!
