To prepare the dish, you will need three hundred ml of meat broth, three tablespoons of cranberry sauce, one kilogram of beef, three onions in the shell, four tablespoons of olive oil, three hundred ml of red wine, two tablespoons of flour, salt and pepper to taste.
Beef pieces are put in a polyethylene bag, flour, salt and pepper are added to them. The meat needs to be thoroughly rolled in dry ingredients. Onions are cut into thin half rings. After that, the olive oil is heated in a large frying pan, the meat is laid out and fried from all sides. Then the beef should be put on a plate.
Two tablespoons of olive oil are heated in a saucepan, a bow is placed there and fried for five minutes until a brownish hue. To the ready onion is added meat, there is poured broth along with the wine, and everything is brought to a boil, with constant stirring. Salt and pepper are poured into the container. Then the fire diminishes, the pan is covered with a lid and everything is stewed on a small fire for an hour and a half. After the beef has become tender and easily pierced with a fork, you need to pour cranberry sauce into it. Then the dish is tasted, and, if necessary, spices and salt are added to it. Chicken with cranberries
Chicken with cranberries is a delicious and unusual dish made from a bird that will decorate a festive table for the arrival of guests or some family celebration.
To prepare a dish, you need to take eight hundred grams of chicken fillet, one hundred grams of hard cheese, a little margarine (to grease the bird's cooking capacity), fifty grams of butter, four hundred grams of cranberries, one onion, two tablespoons of vegetable oil, three tablespoons of sugar , half a teaspoon of starch, one hundred grams of salad, salt and pepper.
The fillet is cut into halves and slightly repulsed, after which it is rubbed with salt and pepper. The oven heats up to one hundred and eighty degrees. The container for baking is smeared with margarine, it is laid out fillets, and for each piece of chicken you need to put a piece of butter. The dishes are sent to the oven for fifteen minutes, after which it is removed, and the chicken is sprinkled with grated cheese and sent back for five minutes.
In the meantime, you need to prepare the sauce for the bird. Onion is cut and fried in a pan. To it cranberry, sugar is added, everything is covered with a lid and stewed for five minutes. Starch is bred in two tablespoons of cold water, poured into a pan and cooked on low heat until the whole mass thickens. After that, the frying pan is removed from the fire.
The chicken is taken out of the oven, laid out on the leaves of the salad, which has already decorated a roomy dish, and on top of the fillet is poured with cranberry sauce.
Turkey with cranberries
Turkey with cranberries is a traditional dish of North American cuisine. This delicacy is usually served for Thanksgiving and without it the Americans do not represent their holiday table.
From the ingredients you need to take five and a half kilograms of turkey (separately to keep the giblets), one hundred and seventy five grams of butter, one onion, four oranges, six twigs of thyme, two hundred and fifty grams of cranberries, six slices of bacon, two tablespoons of liquid honey.
One orange is cut into pieces, and the bulb is also ground. Bacon is cut into strips and fried. The oven heats up to one hundred and ninety degrees. The turkey is placed in deep dishes, smeared with soft butter and seasoned with spices. Inside the turkey is pushed onion, orange and half cooked thyme. The container is placed in the oven and baked for an hour until brown turkey is formed on the turkey. After that, the turkey is covered with foil and sent to the oven for another three hours. Every half hour it should be watered with the formed juice.
During this time, it is necessary to prepare the sauce for the bird. To do this, you need to cut the cranberries, peel oranges and grate their zest, and the flesh into segments. After that, you need to mix berries with orange ingredients, toasted bacon, thyme and honey. The turkey comes from the oven, and sauce is laid on it. Then the bird is again covered with foil and put in the oven for ten minutes. Then the container with the turkey is taken out of the oven, the foil is removed, and the turkey in the container is again placed in the oven for ten minutes until a crispy crust is formed. After that, the bird is taken out of the oven, covered with a loose foil and transferred to a dish. The juice from the dishes in which the turkey was cooked should be used to prepare the gravy for the garnish (along with the giblets of the bird).
Duck with cranberries
From the variety of recipes for ducks with cranberries, we chose a stuffed duck with cranberries and crackers.
To prepare the dish you need to take a duck, weighing one - one and a half kilograms, one hundred and fifty - two hundred grams of cranberries, one hundred and fifty grams of sugar, one hundred and fifty grams of rye crumbs, thirty grams of butter, spices and salt to taste.
Duck rubbed with salt and spices. Instead of spices, you can take as a marinade mixture of honey and mustard. The duck is left for six to eight hours.
Before cooking, cranberries are rubbed with sugar using a blender. Crackers are fried in butter until a ruddy crust forms on them. They must be constantly stirred, and also monitor the fire. After the preparation of crackers, they are added to the cranberry mass and everything is thoroughly mixed. This mass and the duck begins to fill. The carcass of the bird is placed in the scallop, and then it is filled with water. Before that, the oven warms up to 240 - 260 degrees, it puts dishes with a duck, which is cooked at this temperature for two hours with a tightly closed lid.
After that it is necessary to check how much the bird is ready. If the duck is covered with a ruddy crust, then the dish can be taken out of the oven. If nothing like this is observed, then the lid of the udatnitsa needs to be removed, to increase the fire to the maximum, and to hold the duck in the oven for another ten minutes.
To taste, cranberries are perfectly combined with such vegetables and fruits as beets and apples. They can be used as a side dish to cooked meat.
