A diet for increased stomach acidity will help alleviate unpleasant symptoms and protect the stomach lining from damage. The diet describes in detail which foods can be consumed and which ones are best limited or completely excluded from the diet.
Increased acidity or decreased acidity is the acidity of gastric juice. Acidity depends on the percentage of hydrochloric acid included in its composition. The percentage of hydrochloric acid is considered to be within the normal range of 0.4-0.5%. If this indicator deviates towards a higher or lower value, then such a change negatively affects the functioning of the digestive system and the entire gastrointestinal tract. To measure the acidity of gastric juice, probing is done, and pH-metry and other necessary tests are done based on the obtained samples of gastric juice.
If a person has increased acidity of gastric juice, then it will be accompanied by characteristic symptoms: heartburn, sour or bitter belching, periodic burning pain in the stomach, navel, constipation. In no case should you tolerate such a condition. The problem is that with increased acidity, the walls of the stomach are corroded, and specifically the mucous membrane suffers. In the future, this leads to gastritis with increased acidity and gastric ulcer.
