Let's figure out why it is so important to follow a diet when treating fatty hepatosis? In order to understand how important a diet is for fatty hepatosis of the liver, you need to understand what fatty hepatosis itself is. Let's consider another aspect - is it possible to cure fatty hepatosis of the liver without following a diet.

Fatty hepatosis is a liver disease, also called fatty degeneration. Liver cells are affected by excess fat, blood circulation in liver tissue slows down and leads to necrosis. Liver tissue is replaced by connective tissue. Fatty hepatosis leads to cirrhosis and even cancer. Doctors identify some causes of fatty hepatosis:

  • Nutrition. Frequent consumption of fatty, heavy foods. This is the main reason;
  • Love of alcohol;
  • Taking antibiotics for a long time, taking medications with a high degree of toxicity;
  • Various metabolic disorders, pathologies of internal organs, endocrine disorders in the body.

Doctors say that without strict adherence to a diet, success in the treatment of fatty hepatosis cannot be achieved. Diet for liver hepatosis is a mandatory, if not fundamental, element of treatment.

Treatment of fatty liver disease with diet

As a rule, all doctors who are treated by patients with such a diagnosis prescribe, in addition to medications, treatment of fatty liver hepatosis with a diet. The diet prescribed by the doctor pursues several goals at once. Firstly, this is a complete restoration of liver function, bringing fat metabolism to normal, lowering cholesterol levels. Secondly, the diet should provide the body with such a level of glycogen that will supply glucose in the required quantities. Thirdly, it should level out the level of bile formation. As is known, bile is responsible for neutralizing toxins in the body. Treatment of fatty liver hepatosis with a diet consists of a significant limitation of animal fats in the patient's daily diet - no more than 70 grams, it is recommended to take 100-120 grams of protein per day, and the rest of the food should be enriched with lipotropic factors and not contain purines, cholesterol. You need to eat small portions, observing short breaks between meals. On average, five meals a day. Food with low salt and sugar content, enriched with fiber and pectin, sufficient amount of carbohydrates. Special attention is paid to the amount of liquid consumed when treating fatty hepatitis with diet - at least two liters of water per day should be drunk by a patient with fatty hepatosis.

What is the diet for fatty hepatosis?

The diet for fatty hepatosis consists of a combination of three factors - eating only permitted foods, cooking method and number of meals. If we have sorted out the permitted foods, then let's take a detailed look at how to cook them correctly. Now we only boil, steam and bake foods. A patient with fatty hepatosis should never eat fried or smoked foods. Five meals a day, in small portions, preferably warm, not cold. And a sufficient amount of liquid. The combination of all these factors is the key to a speedy recovery for patients with fatty hepatosis.

Diet No. 5 for fatty hepatosis

The famous diet No. 5 for fatty hepatosis was developed by the famous Soviet nutritionist Manuel Pevzner, who devoted his life to studying the effects of diets for certain diseases. In total, he developed fifteen diets, but in the case of treating fatty hepatosis, we are interested in diet No. 5. By the way, diet No. 5 for fatty hepatosis is very effective for weight loss.

If you follow diet number 5, up to five extra kilos will "go away" unnoticed. The advantages of diet number five are undeniable, so it has been relevant in the treatment of patients since the beginning of the last century. You should not eat foods that contain a significant amount of extractive substances and essential oils, which are responsible for increased secretion of the stomach and pancreas. Fried foods are excluded from the menu because they contain refractory fats and a lot of cholesterol.

The principles of diet #5 include a balanced diet. The approximate ratio of proteins/fats/carbohydrates is 110 grams/80 grams/300 grams. It is recommended to consume no more than 8-10 grams of salt per day. And the required amount of liquid is at least one and a half to two liters per day (the more the patient weighs, the more liquid he needs). From five to seven meals a day is the norm for diet #5. And we have already discussed the method of cooking food - steaming, boiling or baking. Fractional nutrition "speeds up" the metabolism. This eliminates excessive hunger - and subsequent overeating and anxiety. It is necessary to sharply reduce the amount of sugar and salt consumed. Those who are tired of drinking water can drink herbal teas, natural fruit drinks, decoctions.
