With gallbladder dyskinesia, there are periods of exacerbation and improvement. If you do not pay attention to this and leave the diet for gallbladder dyskinesia unchanged, then after some time this can lead to the development of the following diseases. Possible occurrence of inflammatory processes in the gallbladder and bile ducts (cholecystitis, cholangitis), as well as the formation of gallstones (cholelithiasis).
Dyskinesia of the gallbladder is a disease characterized by a violation of the motor functions of the gallbladder. Because of this, there are failures in its contractions, as well as in the contractions of the bile ducts and the sphincter of Oddi. As a result of these disorders, bile begins to be poorly or untimely excreted from the gallbladder. According to statistics, women are more susceptible to dyskinesia than men.
There are two types of gallbladder dyskinesia: hyperkinetic and hypokinetic.
Hyperkinetic dyskinesia is characterized by an increased level of contraction of the gallbladder due to increased tone. Contractions of this digestive organ begin to occur at an accelerated rate - more often and faster than necessary. But the sphincters that pass bile into the bile ducts do not open as wide as necessary. This leads to attacks: they are accompanied by severe and sharp pain in the right hypochondrium. The duration of attacks usually does not exceed one hour. This form of dyskinesia is caused by stress, severe mental discomfort and negative emotions. Women suffer from dyskinesia due to menstruation, since at this time there is an increase in the tone of the gallbladder. Young people are also susceptible to this form of dyskinesia.
Hypokinetic dyskinesia is associated with insufficient contractions of the gallbladder. This form of dyskinesia also involves attacks accompanied by pain in the right hypochondrium. But the nature of the pain is completely different: the pain is bursting or aching, not strong, but long-lasting. Elderly people suffer from this form of dyskinesia.

Diet for biliary dyskinesia
It is good to drink courses of highly mineralized mineral water. Essentuki No. 17, Batalinskaya, Arzni and others are suitable for these purposes. The water should be taken cool or slightly warmed up, 200-250 ml three times a day half an hour to an hour before meals.
In case of biliary dyskinesia, some vegetables should be excluded from the diet - eggplants and raw cabbage of various types (white cabbage, red cabbage, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, etc.). Boiled cabbage can be used, for example, in soups and vegetable stews.
Some types of fruits are also excluded in case of biliary dyskinesia – sour green apples, lemons and grapefruits.
Of the fruits, you need to eat one apple, one kiwi, one orange and several tangerines every day. This is, of course, a winter version of the fruit menu. In the summer, citrus fruits and kiwi should be replaced with fresh strawberries, raspberries, currants, gooseberries, peaches, apricots, plums.
During the day, you need to eat a certain amount of fresh vegetables. For example, it will be useful to eat one raw carrot, at least one tomato. But cucumbers are allowed to be eaten no more than 200 grams per day.
It is very useful to eat fresh greens. They should be added to salads, porridges, stewed vegetable dishes, soups. You can also eat them just like that, as a small snack.
Diet for hyperkinetic dyskinesia
The diet for hyperkinetic dyskinesia of the gallbladder and biliary tract is based on the following principles:
- Eat small meals frequently – 5-6 times a day.
- Prohibition of consumption of foods that provoke an increased rate of contractions of the gallbladder:
- fatty foods and broths;
- fatty meat products and fish;
- vegetable oil;
- fatty baked goods - cakes and so on;
- spicy dishes, spices and seasonings;
- alcohol and beer;
- carbonated drinks.
- In case of hypermotor disorders of the gallbladder and bile ducts, products with a high magnesium content are recommended. The following are introduced into the patient's diet:
- Buckwheat and wheat porridge.
- Bread made from wholemeal flour or bran.
- Various fresh vegetables.
- Fruits and berries in various forms.
- It is useful to add herbal infusions and drinks based on corn silk, rose hips, and peppermint to the diet.
- Treatment with mineral waters is an old and proven method of normalizing the functions of the gallbladder and bile ducts in dyskinesia. Drinking mineral waters with low and medium mineralization helps - Narzan, Naftusya, Essentuki No. 4 and No. 20, Smirnovskaya, Slavyanskaya, etc. The water is taken hot (40-45 degrees) from half to one glass per dose three to four times a day half an hour before meals.
Diet for hypokinetic dyskinesia
The diet for hypokinetic dyskinesia of the gallbladder and bile ducts includes:
Consumption of products with a pronounced choleretic effect:
- sour cream, cream, butter;
- unrefined vegetable oils;
- soft-boiled eggs;
- vegetables in different forms - fresh, stewed, boiled and baked;
- black bread.
The above foods stimulate the motility of the gallbladder and bile ducts.
For the same purpose, medicinal plants are used:
- aloe;
- Eleutherococcus;
- ginseng.
These plants are used in the form of alcohol extracts in dosages prescribed by the attending physician.
Choleretic infusions are also used to increase the motor activity of the gallbladder and bile ducts, as well as for the outflow of bile. It is best to use herbal teas for these purposes, which include yarrow, immortelle flowers, coriander fruits, mint leaves.
It is good to use decoctions and infusions of the following choleretic plants:
- parsley decoction;
- infusion or decoction of medicinal dandelion;
- decoction or infusion of calamus;
- decoction or infusion of common yarrow;
- infusion or decoction of barberry.
The use of mineral water in the treatment of hypokinetic dyskinesia has also proven itself well. In this case, mineral water with a high degree of mineralization is used. For example, Arzni, Essentuki No. 17, Batalinskaya. They are taken cold three to four times a day half an hour to an hour before meals for three to four weeks.
Diet for gallbladder dyskinesia is an important means of treating the underlying causes of the disease and preventing further gallbladder disorders. The principles of this diet can be found in the previous and following sections.
