A child's first birthday is important not so much for him, but for his parents. The child does not yet understand what a holiday in his honor is and what a birthday is in general. But it is important for parents to consider what not to do on the child's birthday, so as not to harm him emotionally.
Happy first birthday
To make the party fun, it is important to choose contests and scenarios for it. These scenarios should be simple, but varied and not so noisy as to scare the child. If older children (3-4 years old) are invited to the birthday party, then you can organize contests for them and amuse them. If all the children are small, the same age as your child, you can easily organize contests for adults. Your child can enjoy watching fun games – he can already do this.
Among the competitions, you can organize a quiz where questions will be asked about the little birthday boy:
- What day were you born on?
- What is your height and weight?
- Who was it named after?
- What is his character like?
- Who does he look like?
- What is his favorite color?
- What was the weather like on your birthday?
- What will he be when he grows up?
This quiz can be designed as a slide show, photo or film about your baby. Adults will find it very interesting, everyone will want to show how well they know your baby.
You can prepare several dishes and ask adults, blindfolded, to guess their taste.
If you honor ancient traditions, you can hold a special competition for the child: "On the sheepskin coat". You need to take a heavy sheepskin coat (preferably made of natural sheepskin, as our ancestors did) and sit the child on it. Several objects are laid out around the child: a book, a doll, a telephone, a car, etc. Whatever the child chooses, that is what he will be in life. A book - he will love to read, a doll - he will love women, a telephone - he will become a negotiator, a car - he will become a driver. It is very fun and entertaining.
How to calculate the duration of the holiday?
This needs to be decided in advance. The first birthday of a child can be very difficult for the baby throughout the day. Especially since he does not miss feedings and sleeps during the day approximately twice (once for sure). Therefore, it is best to hold the celebration either in the first or second half of the day. You also need to calculate the number of guests. It should not be excessive, so that the child does not get tired - strangers can scare him. In addition, a child at this age is very sensitive to other people's energy - he can get sick later. It is better to invite only the closest and most familiar guests to the baby for the first birthday - godparents, grandparents, sisters and brothers. In the room where the child's birthday is held, there should be a separate room where the mother and child can retire. There the baby will be able to eat and sleep without prying eyes.
Photos and videos on baby's first birthday
At a birthday party, a child who is not used to such a large number of people may start to be capricious and cry. Therefore, you can take pictures and film the baby in festive clothes with mom and dad before the guests arrive. If you can then freely take photos and videos with a happy and satisfied baby, that's great. If not, you will have pictures taken on the day of the child's birthday the day before the guests arrive.
These will be wonderful shots that the child will enjoy watching when he grows up.
You can also weigh and measure the child's height on his birthday, and photograph and film the process. This will be very interesting and fun to watch years later! You can hang a large sheet of paper on the wall and let the kids draw on it with their palms. Film this moment too.
Holiday decoration
The child can wear bright clothes, buy small caps and noses for the guests, like clowns. The room where the celebration will take place can be decorated with colored balloons and garlands. You can blow soap bubbles in the room, hang large photos with the child on the walls.
There can be cheerful music and children's songs in the house, because it is a children's holiday. As for the people, you can prepare or order colorful salads and several bright cakes. There should be a candle on the child's (children's) cake - you can try to blow it out with the baby. If he or she fails, the candle can be blown out by mom or dad.
Gifts for a child on a child's first birthday
A child loves bright toys, but if there are too many of them at once, his impressions may be blurred. Therefore, it is better to give toys to a small child in doses. One after another, explaining what each of them is for. This way, you will give a lot of bright impressions to the baby for a day, or even two.
A child's first birthday is undoubtedly a very important holiday for everyone who loves him. Let it be bright and colorful and bring many impressions to everyone.
