Temperature at 6 weeks of pregnancy
Almost all women notice an increase in temperature at the beginning of pregnancy (within 37 - 37.3 degrees). In medicine, such an increase in temperature is considered quite normal and is associated with the presence of the corpus luteum in the woman's body. However, it would not be a bad idea to consult a specialist and, if necessary, take tests. If the temperature rises, first of all, do not panic, especially if there are no other symptoms besides the temperature (for example, with a cold, the temperature is accompanied by weakness, fever, sore throat, cough, etc.).
Particular attention should be paid to the basal temperature. The expectant mother should keep a chart in the first trimester, and if she notices a decrease in the indicators (below 37 degrees), this already indicates a threat of miscarriage and appropriate measures should be taken.
Cold at 6 weeks of pregnancy
It has long been known that a woman should be extremely careful during pregnancy. A cold in the early stages of pregnancy, in particular, when the 6th week of pregnancy occurs, can have a significant impact on the development of the child. At this stage, all vital organs and systems are laid and developed, so taking medications is prohibited for a pregnant woman. Even herbal remedies should be taken only as prescribed by a doctor. But if a cold is not treated, it can lead to the death of the fetus. Therefore, if a woman has a cold in the 6th week of pregnancy, she needs to be provided with complete rest, the use of some traditional medicine is allowed, but strictly dosed. It is good to drink hot tea with raspberries (the use of viburnum during pregnancy is prohibited, as it provokes bleeding), with rose hips for a cold. If the nose is stuffy, you can rinse the mucous membrane with sea water. If there is a temperature, the doctor may recommend using children's suppositories.
In some cases, doctors recommend that a woman terminate her pregnancy, explaining that a cold could cause severe developmental defects. However, many women who had a cold in the first trimester then gave birth to healthy children.
Bleeding at 6 weeks pregnant
The 6th week of pregnancy is the most dangerous period, as the risk of bleeding increases.
The most common causes of discharge are:
- ectopic pregnancy, the risk increases in the group of women who use intrauterine devices. The most common causes of ectopic pregnancy are inflammatory processes in the ovaries, adhesions or scars in the oviduct. According to statistics, every 1000th pregnancy develops in the fallopian tubes. Usually, along with bloody discharge, the woman feels cramping pain in the lower abdomen. In case of ectopic pregnancy, the only way is surgical removal of the ovum, otherwise a rupture of the tube and infertility in the future are possible;
- miscarriage, which together with heavy bleeding is accompanied by severe abdominal pain. The pain is very similar to premenstrual pain, only more severe. In this case, it is imperative to consult a doctor; if medical assistance is provided in a timely manner, the chance of saving the child will increase;
- trauma to the cervical os, which becomes more sensitive during pregnancy, and blood circulation increases in it. Increased physical exercise and intimacy can rupture blood vessels. Bleeding from trauma to the cervical os usually lasts no more than 6 hours, and the discharge is not abundant. In this condition, it is necessary to stay in bed and avoid stress;
- insufficient amount of progesterone in the body. The risk group includes pregnant women who have previously undergone treatment for infertility, women with an irregular menstrual cycle. The ovaries produce an insufficient amount of the hormone and the fetus is rejected, which is accompanied by bleeding. This condition is called detachment of the ovum in medicine. In some cases, quite severe bleeding occurs. If there is a deficiency of this hormone, the hormone is prescribed in the form of injections, tablets, suppositories.
Nausea at 6 weeks pregnant
The 6th week of pregnancy quite often becomes the beginning of toxicosis, a condition in which a woman begins to experience morning sickness, malaise. This condition during pregnancy is a completely natural reaction of the body to changes in the woman's hormonal background. In some cases, pregnant women suffer from quite severe forms of toxicosis, sometimes nausea and vomiting of a woman is so strong that there is a strong loss in weight, dehydration, weakness, arrhythmia, all this negatively affects the future child, who does not receive enough nutrients during this period. As a rule, in case of severe manifestations of toxicosis, inpatient treatment is recommended.
The cause of such severe conditions in pregnant women has not yet been reliably established. It is assumed that the woman's young age, excess weight, and first pregnancy are factors predisposing to severe toxicosis. Inpatient treatment is necessary to restore the woman's fluid levels in the body, administer vitamins and additional nutrients via IV drips, which are important during this period for the child's development.
Diarrhea at 6 weeks of pregnancy
The poor health that a woman experiences at the beginning of pregnancy is associated with the manifestation of toxicosis - a natural reaction of the body to prepare for bearing a child and subsequent childbirth. The 6th week of pregnancy is approximately the period when a woman first feels the manifestation of pregnancy. Almost all women in this position are subject to this condition to a greater or lesser extent. The newly formed corpus luteum begins to actively produce hormones necessary to maintain pregnancy. But hormones affect the entire body and all internal organs of a woman without exception. First of all, this affects the gastrointestinal tract, the secretory activity of which is significantly reduced. Also, the liver and gallbladder are unable to fully perform their functions under the influence of hormones. Usually, due to a decrease in the disruption of the gastrointestinal tract, constipation appears in pregnant women, since a decrease in contractions of the smooth muscles of the intestine slows down the passage of food. However, in some cases, a woman, under the influence of the same hormones, experiences diarrhea, especially in the first weeks of pregnancy. Diarrhea can be moderate or severe, requiring medical attention to prevent dehydration and the leaching of nutrients that are so necessary for the woman and her developing baby. Diarrhea due to hormonal changes in the body can torment a woman for about 12 weeks, until the toxicosis passes.
Sometimes diarrhea can be caused by eating the wrong food, as the appetite of a pregnant woman under the influence of hormones can be unpredictable and not entirely clear. Such food experiments often lead to diarrhea due to a malfunction of the digestive system.
In case of poisoning, a woman may also develop diarrhea, in which case it is necessary to seek medical help as soon as possible, since the effects of toxic substances can lead to very bad consequences for both the mother and her unborn child.
