Why you shouldn't dye your hair during pregnancy?
- The smell of paint - all hair dyes contain ammonia, inhaling its vapors is very harmful for anyone, and especially for a pregnant woman. The sharp smell of paint can cause vomiting and nausea, fainting and dizziness. If you decide to dye your hair, buy an expensive paint that contains a minimum amount of ammonia.
Hair coloring should be done by a professional hairdresser using the technique of partial coloring and natural dyes.
Due to hormonal changes, it is difficult to predict the result of hair coloring and how long the color will last.
It is strictly forbidden to dye your hair in the first trimester of pregnancy. Since it is during this period that the baby's organs are formed. Do not expose your future child to unnecessary risk.
- Harm of dye for mother and child. There is an opinion that during dyeing, dye, getting on the scalp, penetrates into the blood, and therefore to the baby. And this is a risk for both mother and child. Hair highlighting, unlike full hair dyeing, is much safer, since the dye does not get on the scalp, and therefore into the blood.
- Result. During pregnancy, hormonal changes occur in the body, hair changes its structure, the whole body is rebuilt. Do not be surprised if instead of the expected platinum blond color you get burnt yellow. This is all due to hormonal imbalance, so think about whether it is worth risking the health of the baby and your appearance.
