Vaporization is a modern method of gentle facial steaming with finely dispersed ozonized steam.
A device for steaming the face is called a "vaporizer" - this is a device in which water heated to 100° C turns into steam. Vaporizers, in most cases, are designed so that warm steam is supplied to the face through a nozzle for uniform distribution and equal heating of all areas. In some devices, the steam is saturated with ozone, which increases blood supply, enriches the skin with oxygen, and has a bactericidal effect.
Mechanism of action of vaporization
The technique is used to improve blood circulation, open pores, stimulate the secretion of sebaceous and sweat glands, and cleanse the skin. Warm steam, when applied to the skin, causes an increase in blood flow, makes the stratum corneum of the epidermis looser, expands the mouths and ducts of the sebaceous and sweat glands, helping to liquefy skin secretions, facilitate their release, and cleanse the pores. The use of ozone therapy and aromatherapy elements allows you to saturate the skin with oxygen, have an anti-inflammatory, moisturizing, soothing effect on the skin, as well as a general sedative effect.
Vaporization is used before cleansing the skin with a scrub or gommage, before brushing, desincrustation, ultrasonic peeling to enhance the effects, before a mask to enhance the penetration of nutrients into the skin.
The procedure lasts 10-15 minutes, is prescribed once every 10-14 days. The skin after vaporization looks refreshed, moisturized, slightly pink (there should be no discharged hyperemia), according to the patients' sensations - light, comfortable, moist heat.
After switching on, the device is ready for operation in 15-20 minutes. The steam stream should be full and wide. The cosmetologist directs the steam stream tangentially, from bottom to top, so that the steam is evenly distributed over the entire surface of the face. The distance from the nozzle to the face is determined by the sensations on the cosmetologist's hand (the hand is located in the projection of the client's face, the distance to the nozzle is from 100 to 40 cm), the effect of the steam should be felt as a slight warmth. To maintain warmth and moisture after vaporization during cleaning, it is advisable to cover the surface of the face with a film or a warm damp towel.
The purpose of the method is to prepare the skin for the main stage of the procedure.
