An exfoliating face mask is a simple and effective way to take care of your skin. Let's look at the most popular exfoliating masks, how to make them at home, and their potential benefits for your skin.
An exfoliating mask or peeling mask is needed to ensure that the skin of the face is constantly renewed. The mask removes the upper keratinized layer and deeply cleanses the skin. Such masks effectively remove dead particles from the face, make the skin more tender and reduce pigmentation. Thanks to the use of exfoliating face masks, the skin looks younger, fresher, more elastic. The mask improves blood circulation, perfectly nourishes, whitens and moisturizes the skin.
As for using a mask with an exfoliating effect, it is not recommended to use the mask too often. Since the mask removes a thin layer of skin, with frequent use it can cause skin problems, the appearance of age spots, small wounds or cause dryness and peeling. For sensitive skin, the mask is recommended to be done once a month, but for girls with normal skin, the mask is allowed to be used once a week.
You can make exfoliating face masks yourself, or you can buy ready-made ones. Store-bought masks are sold in cosmetic stores. Manufacturers have taken care of customers with any skin type, so there are masks for every taste and color. If you do not trust store-bought cosmetics, then you can make a mask at home. Let's look at the basic requirements for exfoliating face masks and their use.
- It is best to apply the mask to previously steamed and cleansed skin. This allows the active substances to penetrate deep into the skin, cleanse the pores, moisturize and nourish the skin of the face.
- Masks should be fresh. If you buy a mask, pay attention to the production date and expiration date. If you prepare the mask yourself, try to use the product in one procedure, without leaving the product for later, since the components included in the mask lose their beneficial properties.
- Apply masks to the skin with light massage movements to gently cleanse the skin without damaging it. The duration of the procedure is individual for each skin type. As a rule, if the mask starts to burn the skin, it must be washed off.
- During the cosmetic procedure, it is necessary to completely relax. Because the facial muscles in a calm state make the procedure more effective.
- You need to wash off the mask carefully, it is strictly forbidden to rub the skin, as this will cause irritation and redness. If after using the exfoliating mask you feel dry skin, use a nourishing or moisturizing cream.
- It is necessary to use masks regularly, as this allows you to tidy up your skin and get rid of minor defects.
