Every woman dreams that her face always looked well-groomed. To thoroughly clean the pores, improve the appearance of the skin and give the skin silky, it is recommended to carry out chemical cleaning of the face. With the help of a similar cosmetic procedure, the necrosis layer of the skin is exfoliated by the action of specially selected chemicals, most often acids.
Indications for the procedure
If you are concerned about the oily skin of the face, which is constantly shiny, then dry cleaning will be a real salvation in your case. Even girls with dry skin often have unpleasant looking black points, which are difficult to get rid of. This is due to the incorrect operation of the sebaceous glands. And the chemical cleansing of the face is just right for those who want to improve the condition of their skin not only from the outside, but also inside.
The main indications for chemical cleaning of the face are:
- Prevention of aging of the skin.
- To correct the main signs of aging.
- With dull, flabby and listless skin.
- With enlarged pores and oily skin.
- To remove the effects of acne.
Preparation
Preparation for chemical cleaning of the face is one of the most important steps in this procedure. At this point, the expert must determine how deep it is to do the peeling. If the preparation was not carried out correctly, the result may not only be less effective, but also negative. That is why the skin before cleaning should be adapted to the effect of the acid that was selected.
So, during preparation, the skin on the face is wiped with a special cleansing milk or gel. Only after the skin is completely dry can you begin to apply acid.

Technique of the dry cleaning of face
The main procedure for cleaning the skin with chemical peeling is carried out in two stages. The mask of the fruit acid that was chosen by the cosmetologist is applied to the cleansed and dried face. Typically, such masks may contain retinoic acid, glycolic acid, lactic acid or pyruvic acid. First, the minimum amount of agent is used, so that the pores on the face skin open.
Next, the cosmetologist uses cliquoy acid in a more concentrated form. The main task of this mask is the complete dissolution of the "sebaceous plugs" that accumulate in the sebaceous glands and their ducts. It also helps to get rid of comedones, to remove the dead skin of the epidermis.
At the very end, a special moisturizing mask is applied to the face, which helps to tighten the pores and accelerate their recovery.
Chemical peeling
There are several types of chemical peeling depending on the substance that is used during the procedure:
- Cleaning with glycolic acid.
- Peeling with salicylic acid.
- Peeling with fruit acids.
Actually they work in the same way, but if you have dry skin, then it's best for you to stop on salicylic acid peeling, thanks to which the "pushing out" of sebaceous plugs will pass for sensitive skin without consequences. If you have normal or oily skin, then you are more likely to use chemical purification with glycolic acid, which first heats the skin, and then "stretches" the pores and completely cleans them of fat.

Dry cleaning the face at home
Chemical cleaning of the skin of the face can be carried out at home, but for this you can use only special masks with fruit acids (lemon, lactic or apple). It is very important to consult your cosmetician before using this product, and carefully study the attached instructions.
Before carrying out a chemical peeling at home, you must first make a test for the sensitivity of your body to the substances of the mask. If the allergic reaction and other contraindications do not, you can proceed to the procedure itself.
The remedy should be carefully spread over the entire surface of the skin of the face to avoid possible burns. Before peeling, do not forget to cleanse the skin with your favorite cleansing tonic or milk. If during the procedure you feel a tingling or burning sensation at the site of the mask application, it should be immediately rinsed with warm water and a special compress (tincture from the string).
Use masks for chemical cleaning of the face at home can not be more than once for ten days. For several days after the procedure, try not to go out in the sun and not to use makeup. When buying a product for peeling pay attention to its composition. It must contain substances such as phytic acid, azelaic acid, vitamin C.
There are also several recipes for home chemical peeling. For example, the following is quite popular: take 40 g of dry sponge and cook powder out of it. Two tablespoons of this powder add to a 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide and mix well. It is important that the mixture becomes creamy.
If you have oily skin before the application procedure, carefully raspryte face. Otherwise, just pat it with a damp warm towel and dry it. Lubricate Vaseline with the lips, eyebrows, skin around the eyes and apply massage to the skin with a cotton sponge. Wait for 20 minutes and rinse with warm water. Cut the skin. If necessary, apply moisturizer.
Face dry cleaning during pregnancy
Chemical peels with a low concentration of acid are not contraindicated during pregnancy, but before they are carried out it is best to consult an obstetrician-gynecologist. More intensive procedures, in particular those that are carried out in beauty parlors, are forbidden for pregnant women, since after them there may appear pigment spots or unexpected reactions of the skin. It is also worth noting that some types of peelings have a teratogenic effect on the fetus (for example, cleaning on the basis of retinoids).
Advantages and disadvantages
The main advantage of dry cleaning the face is the painlessness of the procedure. Skin covers are not injured, so after this process there are usually no serious complications. When using fruit acids, the recovery period lasts a minimum amount of time. In many patients, the next day, there are no traces of chemical peeling on the face. In addition, such a facial cleansing is able to give not only a quick, but also a fairly persistent result.
Unfortunately, this procedure has its drawbacks. First, the acid can not penetrate deep enough into the skin. Despite the fact that the top of the skin will become smooth and shiny, pimples and old traces on it will not disappear. Does not clean chemical cleaning and wrinkles, scars, deep scars and strong pigmentation.
Contraindications to the procedure
Despite the fact that chemical cleaning of the face is practically painless, and sometimes even pleasant, by the procedure, it does not suit everyone. If your skin has keloids or signs of any dermatological disease, including herpetic eruptions, dry cleaning is prohibited in your case. Also before the procedure is to determine whether you are allergic to the basic substances that will be used by the beautician. It is not recommended to perform this procedure in the presence of burns or open wounds on the skin.
Consequences after the procedure
Most often after peeling, the following complications appear:
- Erythema.
- Peeling of the skin.
- Puffiness of the skin.
- Darkening or pigmentation of the skin.
- Hypersensitivity to the skin.
As a rule, such consequences do not bear any serious consequences, since they arise only on the first-second day after the procedure and pass independently.
Care after the procedure
After chemical peeling, it is very important to take care of your skin properly. With the help of special moisturizers you can significantly reduce the severity of immediate reactions that appear in almost every person. In the first few days after dry cleaning, a person needs to use all kinds of gels and foams that are easily applied to the skin, do not need to be rubbed and quickly absorbed. Starting with the third day you can use creams.
Thanks to moisturizing agents, skin tightening, epithelization can be significantly reduced, and the risk of scarring can be reduced. The best means in this period are the preparations based on hyaluronic acid, which have a hydrating effect.
