Facial cleansing with solutions containing salts, alkalis or acids is called chemical peeling. The method is based on activating the cleansing of dead skin flakes from the epidermis with a chemical compound. Facial cleansing with calcium chloride, based on the reaction of salt and alkali, is truly effective. This procedure does not require visiting beauty salons and clinics. This type of peeling can be done at home, saving time and money. The cost of all the ingredients needed for this procedure is minimal. The result is felt from the first day of implementation.

Indications for the procedure
Calcium chloride peeling is applicable if you have excessively oily skin. For combination skin, this method can be used in the T-zone. With chemical peeling, the skin dries out a little, acquires a matte shade and becomes lighter, pores are narrowed, and epidermal renewal is stimulated. A mandatory condition for the procedure is the absence of fresh rashes and areas with obvious signs of intense inflammation on the skin surface.

Preparation
To clean your face with calcium chloride, you will need: cotton wool sponges, 5-10% calcium chloride solution, and baby soap. Calcium chloride is sold in pharmacies without a prescription. One procedure requires 10 ml of solution. Soap should also be purchased from a pharmacy or specialized stores, but it should not have synthetic additives, fragrances, or be called exclusively "Baby". When using other types of soap, unforeseen problems may arise, as well as a partial lack of the desired effect.
Before the procedure: the facial skin is thoroughly cleaned and dried with hygroscopic wipes using blotting movements. All manipulations must be carried out with clean hands or using sterile gloves.
Technique calcium chloride facials
Before performing facial cleansing with calcium chloride, it is necessary to conduct a sensitivity test to the active substance. Take a drop of the drug, apply it to the skin of the middle third of the inner part of the forearm and wait 10-15 minutes. If there is no redness or itching, then you can safely proceed to the peeling procedure.
Apply calcium chloride to the skin of the face using a cotton pad and wait until it dries. Repeat the procedure three times. Do not touch the skin around the eyes and nasolabial triangle.
Take another cotton pad, moisten it a little with water and rub it with baby soap. Apply the soap solution with gentle movements along the massage lines. Calcium chloride and soap will react. Wait 1-2 minutes. After some time, gently massage the face with circular movements until lumps of exfoliated epidermal scales appear, which are then easily washed off with water.
If a strong burning sensation occurs, stop the procedure immediately. After some time, you can try again, reducing the concentration of calcium chloride by dilution. For this, use distilled water for injection or boiled water at room temperature. The peeling duration is 20-30 minutes. At the end of the procedure, you may experience a feeling of dryness and tightness of the skin. To reduce it, it is recommended to make a banana mask or wipe your face with a decoction of chamomile, sage, and then be sure to apply a moisturizer. Another 30 minutes are needed for the skin to return to normal and calm down. Before going outside, at any time of year, it is advisable to use sunscreen, which will help prevent pigmentation on the skin.
Hollywood Calcium Chloride Facial
Hollywood facial cleansing removes dead skin cells, stimulates skin renewal processes, eliminates comedones and tightens pores.
Classic Hollywood peeling is best done in the evening using a 5% calcium chloride solution. This method is used when it is necessary to do a scheduled facial cleansing. To work on deeper layers of the skin, Hollywood peeling is used using acidic compounds.
The peeling technique consists of the following steps: pre-cleaned facial skin is treated three times with a calcium chloride solution, after the solution has completely dried, soap foam is applied using sensitive, odorless soap. Allow the substances to react (1-2 minutes). Using gentle and careful movements, strictly along the massage lines, begin rolling. Dead cells are exfoliated under the influence of chemicals and massage. The procedure is completed by washing. After cleansing the face with calcium chloride, it is necessary to apply a nourishing mask for 20-30 minutes. If possible, this time can be used to relax by turning on pleasant music. After this time, wash off the mask with water or remove it with a cosmetic napkin. At night, it is necessary to apply a night restorative face cream corresponding to the skin type.
Facial cleansing with sodium chloride
A variation of the Hollywood peeling is facial cleansing with a 10% sodium chloride solution (hypertonic solution). The procedure is simple, but gives an excellent result. To perform it, you need: sodium chloride, glycerin soap. Apply the soap solution to the previously cleansed skin of the face with a sponge, avoiding the skin around the eyes and the nasolabial triangle. Let it dry. Lubricate the areas covered with soap with 10% sodium chloride. After the procedure, wash your face with cold water and wipe dry with blotting movements. Apply a nourishing or moisturizing night cream, because it is advisable to perform the procedure before bedtime. Cleanses the skin, stimulating the renewal of epidermal cells, eliminates inflammation, comedones, narrows the pores. The number of cleansings depends on the degree of contamination of the skin of the face. First twice a week, and then once a month. Regularity of the procedure is important.
Contraindications to the procedure
Unfortunately, not everyone can do facial cleansing with calcium chloride. There are some contraindications:
- dry, thin, sensitive skin prone to flaking;
- manifestations of allergic dermatitis;
- diseases of viral etiology (herpetic eruptions);
- areas of inflamed skin with phlegmonous and abscessing acne.
In the presence of such problems, the use of calcium chloride is risky and can even cause harm, because minor necrotic changes may occur in areas of damage to the integrity of the skin. During pregnancy or lactation, this procedure is contraindicated due to the risk of deterioration of the skin condition due to altered hormonal levels.

Consequences after the procedure
Taking into account all contraindications and the correct implementation of chemical peeling with sodium chloride or calcium chloride, all negative results are minimized. Consequences when using facial cleansing with chlorides:
- shallow chemical burns (due to prolonged exposure of calcium or sodium chloride to the skin of the face);
- post-burn pigmentation;
- swelling of the face;
- hyperemia of the cheeks, forehead, chin;
- peeling skin;
- dermatitis;
- fungal skin lesions may occur when handling with dirty hands or when there is rough contact with the skin of the face, causing microcracks.
Complications after the procedure
As a complication, I would like to note redness, burning and itching of the skin. If there is a strong burning sensation, you should stop this procedure. If redness occurs, you need to properly care for your facial skin. It is advisable to perform the procedure in the evening. After its completion, apply a soothing mask or hypoallergenic cream to your facial skin. As a rule, the skin has time to recover and rest overnight, and in the morning the unpleasant sensations disappear, and the skin becomes smooth, velvety with a beautiful shade.
Reviews
There are quite a lot of reviews about facial cleansing with calcium chloride, most of them are positive. Users note the high effectiveness of the product: the skin becomes smooth, lighter and fresher.
It is important to remember that when performing peeling at home, you must strictly follow the instructions. If the sequence of actions is violated or if contraindications to this procedure are ignored, negative consequences are possible, such as facial skin burns, redness or swelling.
