If you start to feel like your abs are really tight, then you're probably ready for more serious exercises. Try this: Lie on your back on a fitness ball, legs bent at 90 degrees, feet on the floor, hands behind your head.
Lift your left leg off the floor and lift it toward your body until your right elbow touches your left knee. This movement is similar to riding a bicycle and works all of your core muscles.
Perform 12 reps, then switch legs.
