The plasticity of the upper eyelids in women differs significantly from that of men. In men, the surgeon must be extremely conservative. Usually they have a lateral edge of the incision not to extend beyond the attachment of the lateral angle of the eye gap. If the incision is carried out beyond the lateral edge of the orbit, the resulting scar can not be covered with make-up. The surgeon should always remember that men do not use any make-up. In the distant period, the scar, even very light, can remain noticeable for years.
The tasks of the surgeon in relation to the fold of the eyelid differ significantly between men and women. Deep fold of the upper eyelid is contraindicated in men. This not only feminizes, but also radically changes the look of a man's face. Men do not look that way. A man in modern society usually looks best with some excess upper eyelid skin, somewhat corrugated skin and a fold of the eyelid, located just a few millimeters above the edge of the century.
