The first days of the child in the school are exciting not only for him, but also for the parents. A preschool child, and now a schoolboy, experiences a big change in his psyche and physical condition, because his day schedule and children's collective are radically changing. How to behave to parents of the schoolboy?
Useful tips for the schoolboy's parents
Tip # 1
It is worth choosing a school for your child, not for yourself. That is, first of all, take into account not her status, but practical skills that the school can give to the child. These skills can be those to which the child has a propensity. For example, a child loves sports - choose a school with a sporting bias. If he likes languages, do not focus on physics, even if the child's parents are nuclear physicists.
Tip # 2
To be aware of the child's affairs, you need to rewrite the schedule of lessons and calls, write down the contact numbers of teachers, learn in detail about the conditions of training. So you can be with your child "in one rut", understand the conditions in which he studies and how.
Tip # 3
Pay attention to the load of the child and the time to which his lessons last. So you can help him calculate the workload and homework, and also be aware of whether the child came from school on time, delayed or somehow came home too early.
Tip # 4
Determine the start and end time for classes to calculate how much the child will get up. How much time he can spend on lessons, how much - for breakfast and dinner, and how much - for outdoor games. Keep in mind that every day a kid should actively rest for at least three hours and spend at least an hour outdoors in the evening.
Tip # 5
Be sure to exchange phones with your child's class teacher and tell her about the health of your son or daughter, your likes, your temperament. Agree to keep in touch with her constantly, so she calls you in any cases, if something is wrong with the child.
Tip # 6
Pay attention to whether it is convenient to place the house at home for your child. The table and chair should correspond to the weight and height of the child. The table should not be round, also take care of the lighting. Teach your child the right way to take care of his work place - it must be carefully cleaned.
Tip # 7
Configure the child that you will always support him. Excessive perfectionism you two do not need. It is not necessary to demand from the baby overpopulation, but, at the same time, accustom it to organization. So the baby will not have a nervous breakdown, which inevitably happens in children with increased emotional and physical stress.
Tip # 8
Set up the child and keep in mind that adaptation to the school will not take place in a day or two. This process requires from three months to six months. Therefore, your child needs to be obligated in difficult moments.
Tip # 9
If the child does not study as you would like, do not bully him or punish him, but just help. All children have different abilities and quick thinking, different propensities. Therefore, do not be disappointed if the child is not an excellent student. The main thing is his good health and stable emotional state. Gradually everything is formed.
The first days of a child in school can be difficult for the baby, and for you. But the principles of understanding, organization and gradualness will still bear fruit.
