The essence of this type of vegetable diet is to alternate vegetables and protein foods. The diet is very effective, lasts on average 5 days. In such a short period of time, you can lose up to 5 kg of body weight. 2 slices of rye bread are allowed per day. You need to drink plenty of water. Instead of water, you can drink tomato juice. Below is an approximate menu for such a diet. For each meal, 2 dish options are presented.

Menu for 5 days of protein-vegetable diet

1 day

Only vegetable dishes are consumed.

  • Breakfast

A salad of fresh vegetables, seasoned with vinegar, salt or soy sauce. For example, a salad of cucumbers and tomatoes, with the addition of dill and parsley. Or a salad of cabbage, carrots, onions with the addition of salt, grated or sliced ginger, and greens.

  • Dinner

Stewed or blanched vegetables. For example, carrots stewed with onions and herbs. Or sweet peppers stuffed with stewed carrots and herbs.

Salad of fresh vegetables. For example, salad of radish and horseradish, with the addition of greens. Or salad of sweet pepper, fresh cabbage and cucumbers.

Day 2

Protein foods are included in the diet.

  • Breakfast

Green tea without added sugar, a sandwich with baked vegetables under a cheese crust. Or a sandwich with butter, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers.

  • Dinner

Chicken broth with a piece of boiled chicken. Sauté of baked mushrooms (champignons, oyster mushrooms) and stewed beans. Or cream soup with broth with the addition of chicken, potatoes, carrots. Cabbage stewed with mushrooms.

  • Dinner

2 hard-boiled eggs + 200 g boiled chicken. Or 1 processed cheese + 200 g boiled fish.

Day 3

The diet also includes protein dishes.

  • Breakfast

Omelette of sweet pepper, tomatoes, onions, and eggs. Chicory without sugar. Or baguette with butter, fried mushrooms, tomatoes, and cucumber. Chicory without sugar.

  • Dinner

Okroshka without mayonnaise. Can be seasoned with low-fat sour cream + 2 pieces of bread. Zucchini pancakes. Or beetroot soup + 2 pieces of bread. Carrot and beetroot pancakes.

Apple charlotte + apple-plum compote. Or blueberry pudding + green tea.

Cream of tomato and apple soup + croutons. Potato and carrot casserole + fresh tomato and cucumber salad. Or cream of green pea soup + rye bread croutons. Beans with stewed cabbage + 2 vegetable cutlets.

Curd and vegetable diet

It implies the use of vegetable dishes, fresh vegetables and cottage cheese. Vegetable dishes should predominate in the diet. Both fresh and processed vegetables are allowed.
