Nutrition for cervical dysplasia plays an important role in the overall course of therapy. It has been reliably established that CIN can be a consequence of not only a viral, infectious infection, but also the absence of a normal diet - a deficiency of vitamins, microelements, proteins and some carbohydrates. Healthy nutrition can speed up the treatment process, as well as improve overall resistance, protective functions, and strengthen the immune system. A special diet is especially relevant if cervical dysplasia is defined as a complication of HPV (human papillomavirus).
What foods, vitamins and microelements can help in the treatment of cervical dysplasia?
- Vitamin B9 or folic acid. Activates hematopoiesis, normalizes the condition of mucous tissues, regulates the synthesis of protein compounds. Found in the following products: citrus fruits (grapefruit, orange), beef liver, porcini mushrooms, hard cheese, oatmeal, all soy products, cottage cheese, cauliflower and Brussels sprouts, beans, egg yolk.
- Ascorbic acid (vitamin C). Activates the immune system, participates in the normalization of metabolism, hematopoiesis, improves oxidative and restorative processes, normalizes blood clotting. Most of this vitamin is in such products: all citrus fruits, black currant, rose hips, kiwi, sorrel, sea buckthorn, cauliflower.
- Beta-carotene (provitamin) and vitamin A. Stimulates protective functions, regulates normal cellular metabolism, participates in the work of the adrenal glands, has an antiviral effect. List of products that contain a lot of beta-carotene: beef liver, all vegetables and fruits of yellow and orange hues, sea fish (fish oil), lettuce, carrots, good natural butter, egg yolk. It should be noted that the vitamin needs to be combined with fats, oil, so it is absorbed by the body and really brings benefits.
- Selenium is a rather rare microelement, the deficiency of which can play a negative role for the general state of health. In combination with vitamin E and C, selenium can provide an effective antioxidant effect, selenium is also active against bacterial and viral infections, stimulates the protective properties of local immunity, participates in the normalization of the endocrine system, and controls cell division. Nutrition for cervical dysplasia should include such products with selenium as pork liver, legumes, nuts, buckwheat, sea fish, seaweed, brewer's yeast.

- During each meal, take a pharmaceutical preparation with enzymes (festal, mezim).
- To minimize the risk of developing cervical dysplasia, it is necessary to drink antioxidants (Coenzyme Q10) daily.
