What are low-calorie diets?

If a person is relatively normal with weight and does not suffer from chronic diseases, he needs a low-calorie diet with a normal amount of calories to lose weight. There are minimal restrictions in food. The goal of such a diet is to wean a person from overeating. And the weight will gradually go away.

At the next stage of the low-calorie diet, when a person has already developed certain taste preferences (this can also happen in the 2nd or 3rd week of the diet), calories are limited a little more.

Here the goal is significant weight loss. Moreover, the volumes of food can remain the same, there can only be restrictions on what foods can be eaten. Usually we lose weight when we limit fatty and carbohydrate foods in the diet.

Allowed foods for a low-calorie diet

Flour

Flour adds kilograms to us. This is clear even to a baby. Therefore, with a low-carb diet, you do not need to eat white bread and any pastries such as buns, cakes and pies.

But not all bread is prohibited. Rye and wheat bakery products, please, are quite possible to eat under this nutrition system. Just not by the wagonload, of course. Up to 150 g of bread per day will be enough to not feel hungry.

Soups

They are allowed. But with some restrictions. Put the bare minimum of potatoes in soups – no need to make porridge-puree instead of soup. You can put different cereals in soups, and also cook them with fish or meat. Soups with meatballs are also allowed on a low-calorie diet. Eat no more than 300 g of soup at a time, and your figure will become slimmer.

What you shouldn't put in soups: milk, pasta, noodles, beans. They increase the calorie content of the dish.

Meat

Lean meats during a low-calorie diet – please! Fatty pork, of course, should be limited, as well as fried meat. Steam it, bake it, boil it – the body digests such meat dishes better than fried ones. You can eat up to 150 g of meat at one time.

What meat is not allowed during a low-calorie diet? Avoid goose, duck, refuse sausages of any kind. You also do not need canned food for weight loss now.

Fish

You can eat it in any form - even fried. Just limit your portion of fish to 200 g per day.

What fish dishes are you not allowed to eat during a low-calorie diet? Forget about herring and sprat (any salted fish), do not buy canned fish, fatty fish, stop eating caviar of any kind.

It is very high in calories and does not fit into our diet for weight loss.

Vegetables

Eat as many vegetables as you want and of whatever kind, but it is advisable not to boil or bake them, but to eat them raw. This way you will get the necessary amount of vitamins and microelements in their true natural form.

You can eat up to 200 g of vegetables at one time.

Drink milk, children.

Dairy products are allowed in a low-calorie diet. Just don't buy fatty ones. Cottage cheese is allowed up to 9% fat, and you can eat up to 200 g of dairy per day. With a low-calorie diet, you can also indulge in low-fat hard cheese.

What should you deny yourself? Fatty varieties of cottage cheese (more than 9% fat), yogurt with added sugar and starch, fatty hard cheeses, fermented baked milk, fatty sour cream - not for you. This will slow down the weight loss process.

Bird eggs

Make omelettes out of them for your health (preferably protein ones), boil them hard, but don't fry them as scrambled eggs. And limit your egg consumption to 2 per day.

Cereals

You can eat it in soups with vegetables, you can cook porridge in water from it. Just remove bread from the menu if you eat porridge.

What cereals are prohibited? Rice, semolina, oatmeal. They are too high in calories for our diet.

Appetizers and salads

As much as you like! Within reasonable limits, of course. The optimal portion of snacks is up to 200 g per day. These can be vegetable salads, salads with boiled fish or boiled lean meat.

The only snacks that are not allowed are fatty and spicy foods - the latter especially actively stimulates the appetite.

Fats in the diet

In a low-calorie diet, butter and vegetable oil are not allowed under any circumstances. However, they can be added to dishes - no more than 1 tablespoon per day. But culinary and animal fat should be completely abandoned during the low-calorie diet.

Desserts

Fruits are allowed in a low-calorie diet, especially sour-sweet, non-sweet mousses, jelly. Instead of sugar, it is advisable to put xylitol and fructose there.

What should you not eat to lose weight? Jam or marmalade with sugar, dates, bananas, grapes (very high in calories). Avoid ice cream and honey too.

Sauces, mayonnaise, ketchup

It is advisable to prepare them yourself, rather than eat store-bought ones with lots of preservatives and sugars - you will very quickly regain the lost kilograms.

Vinegar is not prohibited, but it is better to avoid hot sauces and high-fat mayonnaise.

Drinks in the diet

Black coffee (beans, not powder) and unsweetened tea are allowed. You can drink freshly squeezed juices, except for grape juice - it has a high percentage of glucose, which makes it very caloric.

You can't drink cocoa either - it's cooked in milk, and that will add a lot of calories to your diet. What kind of weight loss can we talk about then?
