A gentle diet is a specially organized regime and diet, which is used for therapeutic and preventive purposes. The traditional gentle diet system is represented by 15 tables, which are intended for the treatment and prevention of the main diseases of internal organs. This scheme was developed by doctors and nutritionists, who selected the optimal diet for each type of disease, calculated the need for nutrients and excluded the damaging effect on the diseased organ. Not only products and their combinations were selected, but also methods of processing and serving dishes, the ideal form, consistency. The system is based on the principles of proper nutrition. The diet includes 15 tables, designed for the treatment and prevention of 15 main groups of diseases.
Indications
Diets are prescribed for inpatient and sanatorium treatment. This is the diet that is followed in all hospitals. Each diet is designed to treat a specific disease.
Indications for the use of table No. 1a are any postoperative conditions. Such a diet lasts on average 3 days, then the doctor prescribes a diet that corresponds to a certain disease.
Tables:
- No. 1b is prescribed for ulcers during an exacerbation, as well as for chronic and exacerbated gastritis.
- No. 2 is used for chronic gastritis and colitis in the acute stage.
- No. 3 is used for general diseases, weakened organism, dysfunction of the immune system, allergic diseases. This table is also indicated for digestive disorders of any etiology, constipation, after any illness and during the recovery period of the organism.
- No. 4 is prescribed for acute intestinal diseases and diarrhea.
- Indications for the use of table No. 5 are diseases of the liver, gallbladder, and biliary tract.
- No. 6 is prescribed for gout, inflammation of the genitourinary system.
- No. 7 – kidney disease.
- No. 8 – obesity, in the absence of any other pathologies.
- No. 9 – Diabetes
- No. 10 – cardiovascular diseases.
- No. 11 tuberculosis, exhaustion of the postoperative period, at the end of a long infectious disease.

General information gentle diet
The essence of the diet is to meet the needs of the sick organism and is aimed at recovery, ensuring maximum activation of the organism, stimulating recovery resources. It is necessary to adhere to a strictly established diet, observe the consistency, temperature, regime and frequency of meals. Each table contains requirements for products, recommendations for preparation and nutrition. The food is balanced and contains all the necessary components. Only gentle methods of processing products are used, such as boiling, stewing, stewing. Fried and fatty foods are prohibited. Consumption rates are from 3 to 5 times a day, taking into account the underlying disease. Portions should be small.
Gentle diet for men
The specifics of the diet will depend on the man's underlying disease. In general, such nutrition is aimed at maintaining normal weight, restoring metabolism, stabilizing the structural norm of the main organs and systems, normalizing the genitourinary system, preventing hernias, adenomas, and normalizing male hormonal levels.
The diet involves three meals a day, with vegan snacks in between. Potatoes, flour, spices, salty and smoked foods are excluded. For complete normalization of the biochemical cycle, the diet should last 28 days, after which other foods and dishes can be gradually included in the diet. An approximate menu is presented below:
- Breakfast
Light porridge with protein supplement (sandwich with cheese and butter, sausage, boiled egg, etc.). You can wash it down with tea, coffee or compote of fresh berries. For diseases of the stomach and intestines, an enveloping drink is recommended, for example, jelly.
- Dinner
First hot course + second course, including porridge, meat or fish product, vegetable dish. You can wash it down with any drink, except dairy products, eat a piece of dessert.

Gentle diet for a child
A child's diet is aimed at maintaining active metabolic processes in the body, full growth and development. It assumes a high level of activity and a high level of metabolism. It should be balanced, contain all the necessary substances and nutrients. It should contain a large amount of protein and carbohydrates, a sufficient amount of fat. It should be soft, not overload the digestive system, should not contain substances that stimulate the nervous system. Below is an approximate menu for a child aged 3 to 15 years. The optimal diet is 5 times a day.

Light porridge, preferably milk, sandwich or omelette, fruit. Drink (tea, jelly, milk, cocoa, milk drink, hot chocolate).

Gentle diet for a child after an intestinal infection
The diet after an intestinal infection should be aimed at ensuring the normal functioning of the immune system, restoring energy resources, restoring intestinal microflora, should increase the level of the immune system, and should not cause allergies. It should be light, soft, and not irritate the walls of the digestive tract.
The diet involves multiple meals. It includes light mucous soups, jelly, strained porridge. Additionally, oat broth, rice broth, herbal decoctions are used: chamomile, rose hips. You cannot eat bread, only crackers. It is imperative to include weak and low-fat broth in the menu. This is how you should eat for the first 3 days after the infection.
Gradually, you can add low-fat cottage cheese, fruit puree, fruits, strained porridge, boiled meat and fish, steamed cutlets, boiled vegetable salads. You should exclude dairy, sour-milk and sweet foods, chocolate, they are a good nutrient medium for microorganisms.
Gentle diet for weight loss
A weight loss diet involves eating only those foods that do not have a heavy impact on the body and do not overload the digestive system. The diet should be dominated by carbohydrates and proteins, and as little fat as possible. Carbohydrates provide a large supply of energy, but are not deposited in storage substances. If they are deposited, they are in the form of glycogen, which breaks down very quickly at the first need for energy. In addition, glycogen is often deposited in muscles, so it can easily be converted into muscle mass. This is the reason why almost all athletes prefer this diet. It allows you to lose weight and correct your body shape.
The diet includes all the necessary nutritional components for the body.
You need to train yourself to eat often, but in small portions.
Frequency of meals – not less than 5 times a day. Eating at night is prohibited.
The list of prohibited products includes fatty, smoked, fried foods, alcoholic beverages, seasonings, spices, marinades. Meat cannot be completely excluded, fish should also be consumed regularly. Potatoes are also excluded. The menu looks something like this:

It is necessary to include strained soups, light porridges, decoctions, low-fat broths in the diet. Cabbage, carrot, and potato broths work well. Salt intake should be reduced to a minimum, potatoes can be consumed in small quantities. Salted and smoked fish, caviar are excluded. Bread is prohibited, you can only eat crackers, croutons, toasts. Freshly squeezed juices, fruit drinks, and drinks are also prohibited. You can drink compotes and kissels. Eat 5 times a day. The last meal should be 3 hours before bedtime.
Gentle diet for the stomach

Sour cream, and especially mayonnaise, and sauces are excluded.
A gentle diet for the intestines
A gentle diet for the intestines should be focused on maintaining motility and restoring microflora. To do this, first drink only decoctions and low-fat kefir.
On the second day, you can add broths from low-fat varieties.
The following week you need to eat broths, slimy soups, and pureed porridge.
Kefir with banana has a positive effect on the work of the intestines. You can eat banana puree, cottage cheese, baby cheese, processed cheese.
In the second week, the list of dishes is gradually expanded. You can't eat bread, only crackers or toast.
Gentle diet for the kidneys
In kidney disease, protein creates an additional burden on the kidneys and urinary system. Therefore, protein consumption should be minimized. Protein cannot be completely excluded, as this will lead to exhaustion of an already weakened body. Protein can be consumed in quantities of no more than 100 grams.
The nutritional value is increased by including whole grain porridge. Eat in small portions. The last meal is 2-3 hours before bedtime.

Basically, with gentle diets, you can eat strained or slimy soups, pureed puppies, light soups. Low-fat meats, fish, cottage cheese, porridge, boiled and fresh vegetables, broths are allowed.
Kissels, compotes, decoctions, uzvars, kefir, tea, cocoa, chicory. Food should be boiled, steamed, stewed, low-fat.
What shouldn't you eat?
The list of foods that cannot be consumed is determined by the table number and the purpose of the diet (the underlying disease).
In general, any gentle diet implies the complete exclusion of fried, smoked dishes, marinades, pickles, sauces, spices and seasonings. Fatty meats and fish are excluded.
Contraindications
A gentle diet is contraindicated for a healthy person. The exception is diets for weight loss, children, women and men.
